We loved the oceanfront cottage that was pet friendly allowing us to bring our 8 month old lab puppy. The accommodations were very nice and comfortable and we had all the conveniences of home. Our dog loved being outside but still being able to watch us inside and we felt like she was safe with the nice gates. We used a crate at night and while we were out to keep her safe. The kitchen was very well-equipped and nice. We would return to a Clear View again. We used the outdoor grill to cook several times. We had to call maintenance regarding ice trays because the ice maker was frozen up. They were delivered to us prompltly and the ice maker started working on its own the day before we left. The sliding glass doors were difficult to open and maintenance came out with lubricent which helped a little. Overall, our stay was very pleasant.

Not Clearly Happy with "A Clear View"

We thought the house was very nice and the amount and size of the bedrooms were perfect but...1)there were 3 coffee makers-one had no pot-one had the wrong potnd the one that actually had a pot did not make hot coffee. 2) the ceiling fan in the livingroom is ready to fall down. 3) the hose outside broke and when they came and fixed it,it squirted out water at the sprayer end. 4) We also had cockroaches even though the sign said they just treated the place on July 2, which freaked everyone out when they saw them on the countertops and the walls and the floors! It then seemed very unclean! 5) the rocker on the porch was broken and my sister almost fell when she sat on it. 6) the dishwasher wasn't the greatest at cleaning the dishes..I don't know, for $4,000.00 you would think that it would be in better shape and more updated and in better working order.

Our 2 week stay at "A Clear View" was wonderful. The 4 of us plus 2 dogs had plenty of room, great ocean views and deck furniture, and comfortable funishings inside. The deck was dog escape proof and made the stay stress free. The weather was unusually hot, but that made the water temperature perfect for swimming this year. This is our second time at this cottage and we've booked again for next year. Staff, as always,were efficient and welcoming. Suggestion: It would be great to have oceanfront bedroom TVs downstairs for those in our party who can't do without. Thanks for a great stay.

2nd year we have stayed at a Clear View and reserved it for 2012. Best Pet Friendly place we have rented at the beach. Improved over the winter by adding gate under cottage to give pets more room to roam around. New outside paint is nice. Kitchen well furnished. All in all, a very nice place for 5-6 adults with their dog. Good value.

Check in and out was terrific. We love Emerald Isle because it's less congested than other Outer Banks areas.
The house is very nice and the access to the beach is a five-star plus. -

We have recommended to everyone we know that staying at Emerald Isle is a must do experience. If time and money allowed we would do this again in a heartbeat. The Beaches were pristine, and totally family oriented. Each had their own little piece of the beach. Morning and Evening beach walks, sunsets and endless sea shell collecting, added to a fabulous experience. If you can pry yourself away from the ocean and beach, there is plenty to do nearby including golfing, and great reasonably priced restaurants.

A Clear View is a great pet-friendly property. The
deck has gates at both entrances to keep you dog
where you want them - under control. The high chairs
on the deck give you a view over the railing at the
beautiful water at Emerald Isle.
The inside of A Clear View has recently been redone
and looks great. A well-equipped kitchen,too.
We loved everything about it - especially the
upstairs bedroom, bathroom and deck.

We really enjoyed our stay in A Clear View this past August. The home offers four bedrooms and three baths, but it was just my husband and I and our two dogs. The deck is wonderful, with gates to keep the dogs contained and high chairs to enable you to lounge while gazing at the ocean over the deck railing. We spent a lot of time out there!

This was our 7th stay at A Clear View. We so appreciate the new carpet and new living room furniture! I love being oceanfront and having an unobstructed view of the emerald waters (although the beach seems much shorter this year...especially at high tide). My mother-in-law claims the upstairs room, and that works out great for all of us :) What I also enjoy about this house is that part of the porch is covered and part is not. When some of us have had enough sun it's still refreshing to sit in the breeze and shade. And we use the picnic table throughout the day...breakfast, cocktails & hors d'oeuvres, sorting our shells. What more can I say except I wish I was sitting on that porch with my coffee mug RIGHT NOW! Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed the first week of June, 2009. The weather was perfect. The house was clean when we arrived. The location was great. It is located far enough from the town that the beach is not crowded, but close enough that if you need something it's just a short drive. The house came with many chairs and easily accommodated our party of 7. I would have liked a dvd/cd library and more board games. Also, remember to wash all the utensils before using them. I really liked the 3rd floor bedroom, it gave my husband and I some privacy.

It was pure joy. Most pet friendly rental have cleanliness issues. Not this place. Clean and the made beds service was a relief. To arrive and not have to make beds and find towels was wonderful. We loved the deck and the covered porch. We have asked for the house the same time next year. Made that decision the first day we were there.

the beach view was outstanding and even better, we were mere
steps from the water. The home had everything we needed and
was immaculate. It was just the two of us, but the home was
definitely family ready as well. There was plenty of outdoor

We have been visiting Emerald Isle for over 30 years and this is one of the nicest cottages we have had. We love that we can bring our pet. The views of the ocean and beaches are beautiful from many windows and doors. The kitchen is very fully equipped and the linen service makes up the beds before we arrive.The cottage is nicely furnished and is open and airy. The two porches are well stocked with chairs and tables for outdoor entertaining or just enjoying the scenery.
Also, we love Emerald Isle Realty. They are very friendly and offer many services, including complimentary ice cream and newspapers. -

For a pet friendly home, this is pretty nice. The location is right on the beach. Porch furniture is nice, unlike other Emerald Isle pet friendly houses we've stayed at.
The only two drawbacks: the living room area is rather cramped due to the layout of the home and the upstairs bedroom is very warm unless you set the temperature downstairs to too cold.
