This home is in a great location. We loved the nature that surrounds the home. This home is very well maintained,has great amenities (golf cart, pool & hot tub), plus the layout of the home is great. We received great service from EI Realty. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone who needs space for several people. The pool table is also a plus.

The golf cart, nice gas grill, elevator, excellent layout, elevated pool area, and a well furnished house and well stocked kitchen made for an excellent vacation! -

We rented this house because my sister was having a wedding at the Dolphin Ridge clubhouse. The location was perfect for us. It was easy walking distance to the clubhouse for those forgotten things on wedding day and just a short walk to the beach. We actually loved that it wasn't right on the ocean because we really felt a little more secluded, which was nice with the private pool and hot tub. Plus, you can see the water from the top floor balcony. The value was great because the house can sleep so many people. The only minor problem we had was in the renting process. It was hard to get our agent to reply and when she did it was very short and impersonal. She didn't really seem to want to help us until we made that down payment to hold the house. Otherwise the stay was great. We'd all stay here again.

I have been staying in rental properties for the last 4 years in Emerald Isle, NC. I have rented a property from Emerald Isle realty all 4 years at the beginning of May. Each trip has been wonderful. The staff at Emerald Isle realty are very helpful with questions and concerns and do a great job making the stay feel like my guests and I are at home.
Catch a Wave was probably the nicest house I have stayed in so far. The living areas were fantastic in this home and the proximity to the beach was also excellent. -

We absolutely loved our trip to Emerald Isle. Catch a Wave is a lovely home, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The home is large, beatifully furnished, luxurious, and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and fun to cook in. The heated pool and jacuzzi were wonderful no matter the weather. The girls loved the TV in their room,kids movie library, and on-line access. The parents loved the big screen TVs and free cable movies on demand. The beach was a short walk away and quite lovely. The views of nature and the ocean were lovely, especially at sunset. Gotta love the screened in porch as well. A favorite for meals. Wish there wasn't so much 4-wheeler traffic on the beach, though.

We arrived to find the office closed at 3:30pm contrary to what the paperwork we were give explicitely states: "Our office hours are until 5pm except in the winter months". We had to collect the keys from the dispatch center across the road in the pouring rain. We then arrived at Catch a Wave to find 3 cars parked in the driveway. Turns out for the second time in a row staying here, the maid service was still there at 4:20pm (which we did not realize was the maid service...we figured there was a mistake on Emerald Isle Realty's part). We finally got to check in at 5:00 into the house. We went to the grocery store and some back to find there are ant traps all in the pantry. Turns out there is an ant problem at Catch a Wave. We ended up putting all of our food into the refrigerator. Next day, we are enjoying breakfast, when once again just like in every year past, maintenance shows up to work on an imaginary hole in the garage. I hear maintenance coming and going for a few hours. We went outside to enjoy the pool and find 4 dead frogs in the pool and a pile of about 50 cigarettes snuffed out in the mulch area next to the lounge chairs. I cannot believe anyone would create that mess and not clean it up. I still enjoyed the stay, despite the interruptions and inconveniences we had to incur. I would hope maybe one year we can use Emerald Isle Realty and not have maintenance come by and interrupt our stay, and maybe we can actually enter the place at 4:15pm. I hope others will be more considerate and not leave the pool area a mess. I would also hope they would get an exterminator for the ant problem. I told the maintenance guy about the ant problem, but he did nothing about it. I recommend Bushwackers and Riverside for dining.

Thank you for your review! I'm sorry that you found our office to be closed early on Labor Day. We closed a couple hours early that Monday to allow our employees to enjoy the remainder of the holiday with their families.
The housekeeping department was at the home cleaning it because the prior guests didn't leave it in good condition which required extra time cleaning. I see that you were given a late check out to compensate for the later check in. We hope that you enjoyed the extra time at the home!
Ants and palmetto bugs are always present here on the island. When at the beach you must clean up after every meal and put all open bags and boxes into zip lock bags to avoid attracting ants and palmetto bugs. We keep traps in the homes to try to repel them as much as we can along with monthly or bi-weekly professional spraying.
The imaginary hole was actually a real hole that was made by the previous guests by the golf cart. Not the first time this has happened but hopefully the last since we put up bead board to help resist damage. I'm sorry that they did not wait until your departure to take care of this maintenance project. In the future please call our office, we will be happy to reschedule if we can.
I'm showing that the pool was cleaned and serviced the morning of your check in day, Monday. I'm so sorry that you had some frogs jump in over the night. I know that must have been alarming to see!
Any time you stay with us please keep an open line of communication with us. We don't know if something is bothering you unless you tell us. Our goal is to make sure that all of our guests have the relaxing soul reviving vacation they imagined!

We loved the house and the many amenities that it provided and were bledded with fantastic weather.The only drawbacks were the steep driveway and many steps to the pool. I have osteo arthritis in both knees so am very limited with those two situations. The rest of the crew managed okay. But we thought the house was one of the best that we've stayed in over the many, many years!!!!

Great home, great pool, great location, but needs a little TLC - tender loving cleaning. We have rented this home three times. The last time we stayed, there was visible wear and tear that a week's worth of cleaning and touchup would take care of.

Upon entering this rental it was more than my family and I expected. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of that house. There was 6 of us, 4 kids. We will have to bring along more people with us next time. We definitely plan to rent out the same house again.

This home was extemely beautiful, well-kept, spacious and romantic. My husband and I searched for the perfect place to bring our families together for a little vacation and without a doubt this one was perfect. The poolside is second to none. We felt like we were living the dream for a week. The golf cart and the pool table were big hits too.
