We absolutely loved the location of this house and the views. It was layed out perfectly for our multiple family vacation. This was our first time to Emerald Isle but we will absolutely be back.
The house is very nicely decorated and comfortable. There are quite a few things that need fixing, but overall a great value. I am sorry that it is booked already for the time we wanted to come next year.Response from Emerald Isle Realty, Inc - 09/07/2012

This was our 5th year in Margarita Villa. We always enjoy the property, but wish some improvement would be made in the beds. Many thanks to the maintenance department who responded immediately to our call when the kitchen sink was clogged.
We are thinking about changing properties for next year. -

This house is very well planned and enjoys a wonderful location but for the price it could use some "spiffing up" and it also needs to have a good cleaning.

We had a great week at Margarita Villa, unfortunately cut short due to Hurricane Earl. The home had a great layout, with 3 bedrooms upstairs, 1 on the main level, and 2 downstairs. Be aware that there are separate aC units for each level. When we arrived, the top floor unit was off (the worst one to have off in 90 degree heat and an open ceiling to the second floor) and it was insufferably hot. The thermostat is hidden in the last bedroom.
We loved having the pool, since we had several days of rip currents. The home's layout facilitated use of the pool with a second kitchen downstairs. The walkway to the beach is fairly flat which is convenient when taking your beach gear down to the beach daily (and no longer being able to leave it on the beach overnight.)
On the downside, there are some issues that should be addressed: the dishwasher on the main floor needs a new bottom rack; the patio doors are not very secure - the strike plates are rusted on several; and most of the showers lack pressure, likely due to deposit build-up - some CLR is in order. The home shows its age, but overall, provided a great vacation experience. We would stay here again. -

Loved Margarita Villa. Nicest house we've stayed in yet. Had everything you could possibly want and then some. Our only complaint was that the stairs looked like they had not been vacuumed and the driveway was a little small for our three vehicles and boat.

The pictures of this house do not do it justice. The home was very spacious and there was so much more to it than was described. We took advantage of both living areas, main floor and basement level. Both kitchens were adequately stocked with dishes. We did get some plastic cups and paper plates due to the fact that we had children onboard. The bedrooms were well appointed. I would recommend upgrading the mattresses, that was the only incidental complaint. Each room had a flat screen television. The main living room was beautifully decorated. The kitchen, I thought could be featured on Hgtv!
The pool, and hot tub were gigantic hits with the kids and big kids. It was so much fun to be able to enjoy these amenities. We had alot of little ones and this made it easy to let them play without micromanaging their play.
We had excellent access to the beach. We had a beautiful spot and I could not have asked for more in a vacation property. We have been coming to E.I via Emerald Isle Realty for 6 years, and this was the best yet!
We did have some maintenance issues, BBQ needed an upgrade, hot tub needed servicing, and the dryer was not drying. Emerald Isle Realty responded in my opinion, instantaneously! They brought us a new BBQ for our Memorial Day cook-out. They came and cleaned out the hot tub, and replaced the dryer! Customer Service satisfaction 110%!!

Our house could not have been any better. We had a group of 12 people ranging from 2 to 48. We could not have asked for better service. The house was clean, beatifully decorated, well maintained. I think that this is a case of "don't judge a book by it's cover". Margarita Villa may not have the most fancy or breathtaking look as some of the other rentals, but it shocks you when you walk in. It as an absolutely gorgeaous home. The teenage boys were very happy about the theatre!There really aren't words to describe our house other than perfect.
Emerald Isle Realty is the best rental company we have ever worked with. Any questions or needs we had were taken care of promptly. The best part being it was done with a smile, and you can tell the people here know what they are doing and enjoy it.
Four of our people had never seen the ocean before, so the house being so close to the beach was awesome, and as a bonus the dolphins showed up almost every morning which was very fun.
We really think that the beach is almost enough fun that you don't need to go anywhere else. We snorkled, had boogie-boards and skimboards, and our main source of fun was shell hunting. One thing everyone should also do is fly a kite at the beach. It is so fun!
We did manage to drag ourselves off the beach to go to Fort Macon, Shackelford Banks, mini golfing, and of course going out to eat some amazing fresh sea food. The fact that all these things as so close to our house was perfect. No long drives to get somewhere.
Our favorite thing about this vacation was just that we have a totally wonderful home on a great beach to enjoy and relax in. Perfection! -

This is the third time we have visited Emerald Isle. We are from Buffalo, NY and truly enjoy the ocean. I brought my WHOLE family with me. There were 15 of us plus 1, and the layout of this home is fabulous. The privacy of our own pool and hot tub is great! Life on Emerald Isle is a beautiful thing! Come and enjoy the peace of the water.

This is a beautiful house. We had 5 small children with us. Only 2 were good swimmers.
We found the pool in the yard very convenient.It was much easier for us to look after the childen in our fenced back yard than it was on the beach. The hot tub was nice for adult relaxation in the evening.
The location of the house is convenient to shopping.
