This is our 3rd year in Borrowed Time and for us (6 adults and 4 children ranging in age 6 mos - 9 years old) the many levels help disperse us and our noise. We always choose to stay downstairs as it is almost noise proof and the coolest room in the house. The kitchen is well stocked but could use a vegetable peeler. Our biggest disappointment this year was the pool. For some reason it was not as clean and clear as in previous years. Hopefully EI Realty will deal with the pool people and take care of it. It is easy for all of us to get to the beach - just across the street to the access way. Any problems are taken care of quickly after calling EI Realty. Thanks for being so cheerful and helpful

Excellent in all categories: pool, close to ocean, comfort of rooms, items in garage that we could use. Cable TV. We had 2 issues: Washer/Dryer was on bottom floor. Grandma - my wife - had to go up and down stairs a lot doing laundry. Hurt her knee. Also, One of the aC units went out and had one warm night with fans provided by EI Realty. Minor inconvenience, hope the owners get that fixed.

The house was very nice, location was good, pool was great. Problem with bugs in lower level (Large water bug).and ants and flys too. Pool should have instructions or someone to come and clean and check it out during the week. Hard to open dishwasher door, had to open refrigerator door inorder to open the dishwasher door all the way! Location was nice, but missed the view of the ocean from the deck!!! We did have a nice time!

Our stay at Borrowed Time was every bit as good as we hoped. The new porch rockers were just great, the view terrific, and we had a fantastic vacation week. The weather was good all week, and the pool was so refreshing after a day in the sand. We are coming back next year.

This was our 23rd year at EI but our first on 2nd row with a pool. If you have young kids, this is a lifesaver. Only 4.5' deep at its deepest, our 4 and 7 year old grandchildren loved it. It was so hot that we beached it in am and pooled it in the PM. The kitchen is well stocked which was a pleasant surprise. Would love to see upgraded mattresses on twin beds downstairs and a tv in that room. Also, there is no king bed as stated. We loved our stay and have booked it for next year.

Borrowed Time is just like home, not a showcase home but comfy, welcoming and just perfect for our family. This was the third year we have rented Borrowed Time for two weeks in August so we have seen the improvements that the owners have made over time. The ocean view is awesome. The kitchen is well stocked, there is ample room for all kinds of families, young and old and the pool just makes it a perfect when hurricanes and tropical storms pass by and cut into beach time. Hopefully, the pool will get the attention it needs this winter as it was leaking water, air was in the system which caused the filter to be very loud and not so relaxing. After 12 years renting in Emerald Isle, I can truthfully say this truly is one of the best properties on the island.

We enjoyed the stay at Borrowed Time very much. Although we have visted EI many times through EIR this is the first home with a poll we have rented. Was a hugh hit with the whole family. We would have been back in 2009 but my son's wedding in July 2009 took priority.

THIS HOME HAS BEEN NICELY UPDATED AS FAR AS FLOORS, PAINT, FURNITURE.
THE BEDS ARE NOT QUITE AS COMFORTABLE AS THEY SHOULD BE, NEW PILLOW
TOP MATTRESSES WOULD BE NICE. THE POOL WAS VERY ENJOYABLE, BUT NO
POOL VACUUMING WAS DONE PRIOR TO OR DURING OUR STAY,(THERE WAS
SAND IN THE BOTTOM) BUT IT WAS OTHERWISE CLEAN. LINENS PROVIDED ARE
VERY HELPFUL. THE VIEWS ARE VERY NICE, AND WE PLAN TO STAY AT
BORROWED TIME AGAIN NEXT YEAR. PORCH GATES WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL

My family and I have stayed at this property for 2yrs now and have already booked for the 2009 summer. We love the house and the private pool. We have 3small children that are with us and LOVE the pool and it a quick walk to the beach. Which is great in case one of the little ones gets tired of the sand! We love the 3levels so each separate family can have there own space.

We really liked this home. Nicely decorated, nice pool and great beach access. We also enjoyed the table on the porch. We were able to eat many meals outside and enjoy the view of the ocean and the ocean breezes
