This house is in a wonderful location right by the ramp for driving on the beach. The beach is rough at the point so if swimming is what you want it is only a short walk to the other beach access using a deck sidewalk. There are ocean views and sound views-great sunrises and sunsets from the deck. There is a cart to haul beach stuff which we didn't use as we drove on the beach ($80 permit needed), I'd bring my own chairs and umbrella as the two there aren't the best. The owners however, were thoughtful to provide them. The outside shower and fish cleaning station are very useful. The house is well maintained for its age, with a well stocked kitchen. There islots of open space for a smaller cottage. As other reports said the TV is small but that wasn't our focus. The microwave takes forever for popcorn but I noticed a brand new one in the closet so maybe it will be installed for the next renter...The screen porch is a nice addition esp for lunch in a damp suit. (It should be noted a small child running could push the screen out and fall one story as there is no wood fencing with the screen.) Parking is on a concrete slab under the house which keeps sand out of the car! I have rented many houses on the island from two different reality companies and this one rates at the top for those of us that don't want/need a "castle"! Emerald Isle Reality is also very friendly and easy to work with. Rent this house and have fun in the sun!

Pointe Panache South is a really nice vacation home. It is bright, clean and well laid out. We really liked the screen porch for eating outside and the long deck out front. The fishing/beach cart is a real plus for taking your gear to the beach.The location at the point is wonderful. The only minor negative is that the TV in the living room seems a little small, but that is really a minor thing since we were at the beach and didn't watch that much TV anyway. We liked it so much that we decided to rent it again next year!

We certainly enjoyed our stay at "Pointe Panache!". From the express check-in to checkout time,it was easy to forget about phones and clocks and just let the sound of the waves soothe our souls. Great neighbors, nice clean home,well equipped- (we were pleased to even find a large teakettle). Lots of room, clean and comfortable,great views of the beach and inlet from the windows and extended porch deck, and having a private screened-in porch was very nice. Just to be nit picking, the bathroom fans were quite noisy,and run whenever the light is on. We wouldn't mind doing this again!

Pointe Panache! is perfectly located next to the Point of Emerald Isle and also has easy/close public beach access. This part of the beach is very wide, has great tide pools for kids to play in, and makes for great sunsets.
Emerald Isle Realty was a pleasure to work with--reservations were easy to make; the website is very helpful; the check-in/out processes were easy; the staff on the phone and in person are friendly and accommodating.
The house was clean, had a well-stocked kitchen, has an amazing outdoor shower, provides good beach chairs/toys, and has a shady, screened-in porch. The main problem with the house is that the AC system is too loud. At times, we couldn't hear one another talking even when we were just a few feet apart b/c of the loud AC fans. I also would have liked a higher deck with a better view of the ocean.

We had a very nice, relaxing week at this cute, comfortable house on the point. The biggest issue we had was the distance to the beach. The nearest access was closed due to erosion so we had a good hike down the road to the next one. This was a real problem for my elderly parents who have mobility trouble. The house itself was perfect for them-all on one level- but, after telling the agent why I needed a single story rental while making the reservation, I was surprised I hadn't been warned about how far it was to beach access.

I am sorry the beach access wasn't as convenient as it usually is. This area has since had beach restoration done so I don't believe this to be an issue any longer. I'm sorry you weren't advised of this by our vacation planner when you called and I'm sure this was because we weren't informed of the condition of that access. Fortunately, public beach accesses are located at about every side street so the next one would be just a little bit further. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience and for the challenge which this posed to your parents.

We have actually been to this location two times. We love the location, the view and the easy access to the beach. The split floor plan gives us privacy from the kids while a large common area allows for family activities and fun. The sun deck is amazing, plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy the sunshine or sun rise. When you walk in the door you feel the stress melt away as you give in to the welcoming embrace of an old friend. We hope to be back soon!
