Great unit! Great Location!!! Loved the area not crowded. Unit very nice. There are actually less steps to the ocean as some of the steps are covered by sand. The Two porches were great! Would definitely stay again!

Had minor problems with certain aspects of the home but was taken care of when we checked out at end of week. We didn't let the home get in the way of our fun and romance week as a new married couple.

Beautiful views of both the ocean and sound.Even with someone staying in the other side of the duplex it was quiet.That might be an issue if there were children there.Our last night there were very loud people on the beach 3-5am, and since the master opens to the ocean that was unfortunate for our last evening. Lots of great resturants with local charm. This area is not for the nightlife people. We enjoyed the grocery delivery service from Lowes.

This property is situated in a lovely spot and is right on the beach. Had great views of the sound, too.
It seems at though the property owner has done some renovations, but I don't think this property was worth what we paid for it (in relation to other properties available at the same price). The couch was very uncomfortable. Pictures had fallen off the wall. The leather reclining chair was broken or on the way to being broken and the carpeting was a mess with stains everywhere.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously! However, I would recommend that the duplex be stocked a little better. We had to buy basic necessities such as toilet paper. Also, the carpets either need to be cleaned or replaced. We did not travel with pets, but could definately tell there had been some in there. Other than that- the duplex was beautiful and clean! It did seem to be priced a little high for the time of year. Thank you so much for the stay- we are planning to return next year!

This place has fantastic views of the ocean and sound, is well equipped, comfortable and reliable year after year. We've stayed there every summer for about 10 years and have only booked somewhere else when this place isn't available. It's not fancy, but the views, comfortable beds, good equipment and reliability mean more to us than fancy. It is also the perfect size for our family of 3.

the place was pretty, good design. hotter in downstairs bedrooms though, not super clean, sand and dust, spots on carpet. wish I had been informed prior to arrival only 1 roll toilet paper per bathroom and no extra trashbags...Also had to call maintenance 2x as backdoor on 2nd floor would not open- and was never fixed, and to get a shower curtain as the one in was dirty/moldy and torn in several places..(housecleaning did not supply them). My concern is there was an unconditional guarenteee of cleanliness written in the book supplied to us and 30 min response time supposedly for any voiced concerns and this was not the case (don't "guarantee" what you can fullfill) The house keeper who came was pleasant and did wipe things up. on the phone the maintenance people were also pleasant.

I do apologize for the misunderstanding, our housekeeping guarantee actually reads as follows, “We will correct any housekeeping problem reported to us on day of arrival within two hours if reported by 7:00 pm in the summer months, or 5:00 pm in the off-season. After hours concerns are taken care of the next morning.” Our records indicate a new shower curtain was provided by our housekeeping department. Finally, soap nor paper products are supplied at any of our properties. This is disclosed in the rental agreement which you received and we do try to verbally express this when making a new reservation. I am glad you arrived and found some toilet paper so you weren't without entirely.

This was our first visit to Emerald Isle, we totally loved it. The area is beautiful. Sea Villa's East was located great for beach acess, and the view of the ocean from the master bedroom, the living room and kithen was great. Another thing that we really enjoyed about it was any room you looked out of you could see water, on one side the sound and the other the ocean. It was extremely well equipped except for no broom and the vacumn would not move to floor so there was no way of cleaning the kitchen and bathroom floor. Also we came in the evening about 30 minutes in front of tornados. When checking in at the Police station we were immediately told to go to the grocery store if we wanted groceries before the strom hit. We did and arrived at Sea Villa right before the strom hit, we lost power and there were no candles, flashlight's or oil lamps. That was a little difficult getting around in the duplex with just arriving and not knowing it. The broom, the vacumn and no emergency way of light was the only thing I can say would be any in convience. We loved it so much that we check to see if Sea Villa East and West was available for the week of our Summer vacation, needed more space due to more family on that vacation. West was available not East, so we reserach and found another Emerald Isle Reality Home avialable just not with the excellance of beach access as the Sea Villas. We loved the Sea Villa East and the beauty of the Island. Recommend this to anyone who loves the beach, and a place that is not so commercial that all of the natural beauty has been replaced by commercially owned businesses.

We really loved the location and all the balconies of this home. However, there were mice & the kitchen cabinets had a very foul odor. We had to wash all dishes before use and could not place them back into the cabinets.
Emerald Isle Realty was great with us, and even though we will not stay in this particular home again, we will continue to use this realty company.

This was my 3rd stay at Sea Villas, twice on the west side and once on the east side, I did enjoy all stays, the location is great with views of sound and ocean the privacy could not be better, however, I do have some issues with both sides, in Janruary 2009 I spent three days on the east side and there was a dead mouse jamed in the glass sliding door dowm stairs, that had an odor, and this last stay on the west side the light over the stove did not work or the micro- wave. I have also stayed at two other location both oceanfront and was wonderful.

The house itself was nestled in a great area with beautiful views and could-not-be-easier access to the beach. (Walk out your door, down the stairs, and you're there!) Unfortunately, the house smelled very strongly of mildew/musky and the carpet was actually damp on the first floor when we arrived, which was rather disappointing. The screen doors were a pain to close if you wanted to open the glass doors and have some fresh air because they were old and would barely move. The upstairs bathroom smelled like trash and after much investigation we located the source of the smell coming from stagnant water that was sitting inside the back of the toilet. Also, and I'm sorry to be nit-picky here- but the cabinets in the kitchen smelled so musty as well that the plates, cups, and silverware all had an unusual smell and film covering them. I had to wash everything before I would use it. Lastly, I think the upkeep of the outside of the home could have been a little better. There was a large overhanging bush that needed a quick trim that was growing right next to the stairs that literally smacked and scratched my car every time we pulled in or out of the driveway.

the parking area was on a really bad slope.we have a large vehicle and
could not even pull up under the building.there was no lighting in the
parking area making coming and going quite difficult at night.there
was some kind of fill substance in the parking area that stuck to our
shoes and consequently got tracked into the house.the air
conditioning system seemed inordinately noisy.the kitchen was quite
well equipped and lighting was good.the bedrooms were well
appointed and everything was very clean.not much porch furniture and

Building a house on our ISland, with it's small lots, can lead to compromises in driveway space, and I'm sorry the parking wasn't as carefree as it seems the rest of your stay was. We are always happy to come out and clean anything off the driveway that is causing cleanliness issues in the house, and to make sure noisy appliances are working correctly. I'm sorry we didn't have the opportunity to correct these things at the start of your vacation, so you wouldn't have had to deal with them all week.
