We stayed in the east and west side, and each was wonderful. kitchen and living areas had plenty of seating to accomdate large group.

Bonita Springs, FLA Wonderful Memory-Making Time with Family

Since our family has been vacationing at Emerald Isle for over ten years, it has grown in numbers so that we now rent both Castaway East and West. We travel from Kailua (hi), Bonita Springs (FL), Atlanta (Ga), Charlotte, Wilson and Beaufort (NC). It is a wonderful memory-making time that we all look forward to each summer.

The beach was lovely and the house, also. We loved the view from the top floor! Unfortunately the house was not ready upon our arrival so I would say that we rushed the cleaners who perhaps did a less than perfect job. If only we had arrived late it would have been perfect. We enjoyed having all the bedrooms and the four baths for our two extended families who vacationed together. Well-equipped kitchen.

terrific house, we really enjoyed our stay. appreciated the quick response on
the fly problem (tho periodic exterminator service would probably help to
avoid the persistent cluster flies). one add'l suggestion: we hope more
screens will be added to windows of the house-- both to allow for airing out
(we were happy there were screens in the bathroom and kitchen windows),
and also, in the living area and bedrooms, for visitors' enjoyment of
oceanfront sounds and breezes. -

Overall, a wonderful location on the beach in a house which has a great design and layout for families or groups of good friends. Unfortunately, the house is in need to a bit of touch up to make it truly enjoyable.

Chapel Hill NCBeautifully Decorated and Well Kept

This house seems new and is decorated in a nice, casual "Pottery Barn" style. It is very roomy for a large number of people. We only had two couples so it was VERY comfortable with two masters. I loved the one up in the very top of the house. One of my favorite features is the carport door to the inside, especially when you arrive in a driving rain storm!
