Loved the cottage. Vey clean and well equipped. First time staying sound front after many trips to EI. It's is now our favorite location. Great, well kept yard for the dog to play. Highly recommend Sandy Toes.

what a beautiful cottage!!! Very comfortable and a great location! This part of the sound is truly beautiful - the area is shallow enough to wade in and the dogs loved it! Beautiful yard and lovely cottage!

We love to kayak, ride bikes, sit or walk with our dog on the beach, read on the deck while watching the birds and the boats, and be close to great seafood restaurants. We were successful on all counts! The cottage was nicely arranged and appointed. When we had problems w/ the dishwasher not draining, the owners promptly had a new one installed since it "had given them trouble before." Maybe our favorite experience was taking the Ghost Tour in Beaufort and then eating at aqua. We love staying on Emerald Isle b/c we have the beach and the sound both, but we are within easy driving distance of Swansboro, Beaufort, Morehead City, and even Harkers' Island. We will definitely want to return to Sandy Toes!

We loved Sandy Toes Cottage! It's right on the Sound and is close enough to walk to the beach. The location really can't be beat. It's a clean place with enough rooms and beds for our family of 5 and grandparents.

The stay was very nice. The house is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. There were a few maintanance problems and there should be a new/or repaired dishwasher. I liked the fact that the linens were provided. The yard and pier were great. We lioved the quiet of the setting.

A lovely reasonably priced cottage with relatively easy access to the ocean and a lovely porch and backyard that overlooks beautiful Bogue Sound. Especially enjoy sitting on the porch and attempting to converse with the local birds. Only drawback is the lack of internet access. While one's vacation should enable an escape from the insidious internet, some have to remain linked in due to professional responsibilities. Despite this, we hope to return to Sandy Toes sooner than later.

We loved the property, caught crabs in the sound, enjoyed the views. The only problem was that the aC would not properly cool the house. It would get no cooler than 80 during the day and around 75 in the evening--we were not pleased about that. Otherwise, it was a wonderful place to say.

The services provided by emerald isle realty were excellent. the home was clean, very comfortable and in a great location. We could fish off of our pier in the morning and walk to the beach on the ocean side in the afternoon. The kids had room to play in the yard and we close to the stores and amusement parks. Thank-you for a great vacation.

Gull Cottage and Sandy T:
Spendid week great fun was had by all! The beach was very nice and quite clean. We really enjoyed the Gull Cottage pool.
The services and accomodations were excellent. Especially pleased with the beds which were very comfortable. The kitchens were particularly well stocked with utensils, dishes and cooking ware. Since our visit was a family affair it was nice to have lots of parking.
The floor plan was excellent with every bedroom at least a small balcony and a bit of view. The covered porch and roofed cubicles on the board walks to the ocean allowed people to gather separately for private chats. This was especially nice when the members from Sandy Toes joined the main group. We did not feel crowded.
The addition of the gates on the porch limiting access to the boardwalk was appriciated as there was a toddler (18 mo) and a four you old in our group.
The coupons Provided in your welcome package expired in May, a month before our arrival. Better if none had been left than expired ones.
Sandy Toes:
'Twas good to have this additional place as a quiet retreat. Being on the Sound side, it allowed the older grand children (14-24 Yrs) to rent Kayaks for an addition beach experiance.
The stores and shops in the general locale were close and not too crowded. It was nice that the Food Lion grocery store was open 24 hrs a day.
Material Problems Noted: GCE: Dead bolt on front door was broken. Now fixed. Two light bulbs missing. We replaced them ourselves. MBR (2nd floor) outside door blinds inoperative. Dishwasher top portion did not clean. Suspect the filter is clogged. Downstairs BDRM outside door shade valence frame plastic clip broken. The A/C room in the garage was excessively damp, smelled mouldy. The A/C unit therein has a water leakage problem. GCW: MBR (2nd Flr) door lock inoperative and the door could not be fully closed. Several doors sticking badly in both sides.
All-in-all, we had a great time!
