Was here with my friends n their kids(2 yrs old)...everyone enjoyed the stay.It was like our home away from home.the linens were fresh the kitchen was well stocked with utensils n flatware.the living room n deck had panoramic views of the beach...the beach was very family friendly n felt almost like a private beach no crowd like the myrtle beach...the house location was good,near to food lion n cvs pharmacy (must eat at Crab shack n big oak on salter path).Thanks to the Obama convention in Charlotte our men worked from the house n wifi was pretty good.(2012 Memorial day weekend-3 days n 2012 Labour Day-whole week).will sure recommend it to friends n family

Emerald isle is a very nice, relatively quiet beach town and Sunstruck, located 5 miles "up the beach from downtown" is in a beautiful location where the outer strand is only 2 blocks wide - one block on each side of the highway.
Sunstruck, with its' 4 br's and 4 baths offers great privacy and at the same time has a wonderful open "great room - kitchen" arrangement for group gathering.
The beach is beautiful, never crowded, beautiful dunes/sea oats/etc.
The outside deck facilities were good and best-of-all, there is a dune-level "lower deck" (in the pic on the right side) under the upper deck that offers escape from the sun while you feel you are sitting in the dunes with full ocean breeze.
Great Place - only caution is that the local Food Lion grocery store gets very very crowded on Saturday evening as all new arrivals are getting their supplies. Note that store is open all night and you can go there very late with no crowd to contend with.
Great fresh produce stand adjacent to the Realty Office and a great fresh seafood market "on the bay" a couple miles up the beach from Sunstruck at "Salters Path".Response from Emerald Isle Realty, Inc - 07/26/2012

comfortable place - kitchen was a bit cluttered and disorganized - we thought it was a hassle to get dished from the dining area instead of the kitchen - also no dish drainer if you wanted to wash a few things by hand - seems the owners are probably not cooks - other than that great layout - mattresses may need upgrading too
