The whole family spent the week and it was just like our own home. Plenty of room, kitchen was very well stocked, location was great: close to shops and attractions, the pool & hot tub were used every day. The staff at EI was helpful and anxious to please (my grandson really liked the free ice cream!). If we get a chance to do this again, this is where we'll go.

We rented what we thought was a 5 bed room home.From the moment we entered the house we could smell the mildew in the basement bed room, after lookinf around for the sorce of the smell we found mold on the ceiling,in the vanity and on a pillow in the closet. the couple who was suppose to take this bedroom ended up sleeping on the living room sofa and love seat all week.I spent most of my vacation trying to get some satisfaction. Shelly Bowden from guest services is suppose to get back to me about getting some compensation for the couple that ended up without a bedroom, but have not heard from her yet.We have been renting on this island for seven years now and this was the first bad experience.The staff at emerald isle realty were very nice and if they manage to get the owner to do the right thing we will use them again, we love the area

Great location and on a nice stretch of beach. However, the house was not as clean as it could have been and, in some respects was in disrepair. Faucets in some bathrooms barely dripped water, the dishwasher was difficult to open and close and there was no carpeting on the hardwood floors. Also, the 4 flights of stairs made this a difficult proposition for the grandparent. I would not rent this house again without some significant improvements. It seemed to be very expensive in light of the condition of the property.
