Beautiful Oceanside Home w/ Pool and Great Views!

Beautiful ocean and sound views abound from our third row, three-story gorgeous beach home. A landscaped yard, outdoor sports, and 14'x24' pool make our house a dream for families and couples alike. With the beach only a minute walk away, you will enjoy uncrowded swimming, shelling, walking, and relaxing on the gorgeous sand beaches. This beautifully-appointed five bedroom, 3 1/2 bath home was renovated in 2011 and offers a top level with an open floor plan with a chef's kitchen, granite countertops, beautiful furnishings, and panoramic ocean and sound views! The living room provides generous seating and a HDTV/DVR/DVD player, Bose Ipod pl...ayer, and new carpeting. You will be awed by the wonderful sunset views in the dining room (separate seating is available at the island bar), and the gourmet kitchen is stocked with a wide array of cooking utensils, appliances, spices, and cookware. There is also a half bath on the top level with new tile and granite. Enjoy the scenery from the outdoor decks on the second and third levels, relaxing on rocking chairs, dining at the outside table, or soaking up the sun on the cushioned lounge chairs. Four brightly decorated bedrooms are on the second level and two full baths with granite countertops (one with a shower/bathtub and the other with a walk-in shower with seat.) The first bedroom has a queen bed, cable TV, and a sliding door out to the porch deck. The second bedroom has a queen bed, HDTV, VCR, a separate entrance to a shared bathroom, and a sliding door to the porch deck. The third bedroom has a double bed and a twin bed with a cable TV and gaming system (games provided). The fourth bedroom has a double bed and cable TV. The lower level has a private (separate) entrance queen bedroom with an attached full bath with walk-in shower, cable TV, and ceiling fan. A laundry room stocked with beach chairs and umbrellas and a fully-enclosed hot/cold outside shower with dressing area are also on the bottom level. There is plenty of covered and open parking. An outdoor ping pong table provides an opportunity for fun and games. The landscaped outdoor pool area is completely fenced in with a gate lock to ensure child safety and offers a dining table with swivel rockers and two lounge chairs. The pool has steps, a seating area in the deeper end, and a pool basketball hoop. A public sound access is two blocks down from our home, offering great opportunities to kayak, clam, crab, and explore the sound ecosystem. Loaded with amenities to ensure that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable (books, games, wireless internet, cd players, regulation outdoor basketball hoop, outdoor ping pong table, horseshoes, and pool toys), this vacation home will surely make your beach vacation memorable!

Our oceanside home is on the third row , just a minute walk from the beach! Beautiful panoramic views in a tropical setting make for a wonderful beach getaway! Biking to town on the extensive bike paths, shopping, tennis, restaurants, fishing, clamming, crabbing, kayaking, water slides, sailing, boating, and miniature and 18-hole golf are just a few of the activities within minutes of the home! Visit Fort Macon, the plantations in New Bern, historic Beaufort, the Aquarium, or take a charter to Shackleford Island to see the wild horses. The beaches are wide and uncrowded in this beautiful town.

  For us, the only downside to renting a beach home is all the stuff you have to bring from home. This is not the case with Bogue's Retreat. You're not renting a house...it's more like staying at a friend's home. Beach chairs, pool toys, a great kitchen, Dvds, CDs and even a gaming system (and more) all make the experience much more enjoyable. There are also things for the kids to do in the yard (basketball, soccer, ping pong). All that and a short walk to the beach what more can one ask for!

  Terrific fun-filled week at the beach!

  Our entire family spent a fantastic week at this lovely home on Emerald Isle. Hats off to the owners, who seemed to anticipate our needs and provided a wide variety of items designed to make our stay more enjoyable. The house was clean and bright, with an upscale look to the furnishings, comfortable seating in the living areas, and two spacious decks for chilling out. The kitchen was nicely equipped (even had a wide assortment of spices!). There were books and cd's for all members of our family, chairs and an umbrella for the beach, toys for the younger set, and board games for all. As the "elder statesman," I especially enjoyed the isolation of the ground floor bedroom and bath, which provided an occasional respite from the hustle and bustle. And of course hours on the beach, in the ocean, and at the pool were pure heaven! It was terrific! We'd love to go back again!!!
