Great time again at DD West for our 9th year.

My two sons and their families and other friends and relatives have enjoyed our DD West and Emerald Isle visits since 2004(9 years in a row). The DD West is in the perfect location and its 5 bedrooms and everything else make it perfect for us. We usually have 6 adults and 4 to 6 children(this year 11 to 16 years in age). We have reserved the same time next year already.

Double Dophin West was great, clean, roomy and had everything our family needed. A TV in every bedroom was great, that keeps the kids and all the men happy during down time. The location was a plus for our family, all the men fish so being right at the pier was a plus. The house was very well decorated and clean we loved the tile and hardwood floors. The large dining table and plenty of bar stools really supplied the room needed for our family meals. We hope to rent this house again in the future we got a great deal this summer and really appreciated that.
What a great place. Oh yes my two young girls really enjoyed watching the island cats. Thanks again for a great vacation.
Our large group, with three small children, spread out in this big house using all five bedrooms on three levels so we had privacy for sleeping children. We loved the house and it's location right on the beach. The house has big decks overlooking the beach where the children could play with all their sand toys. The whole main level has tile floors so cleaning up after the kids was a breeze. The kitchen had everything, including 3 coffee pots! The dining room table for 8 is surrounded by huge windows so we all enjoyed the ocean views and beach activities (people, birds, dogs) at every meal. The master suite, with a large private deck and full bath and jacuzzi, had a great king bed and a huge flatscreen tv just for me!
This house stands out because it is uncluttered; there are no moldy curtains or junky wall stuff. It's clean and fresh with modern johns, updated baths, and systems (a/c and hot water) that work. No problems with parking our many cars in a double carport and huge driveway.
Our boys loved the pier, Golfing Dolphin, Rucker Johns and the ice cream stores. Next year, our group will celebrate our return to this big house with two more kids for another week filled with beach fun.

Property was very well furnished, current, clean, modern roomy. The only concern was July 4th weekend beach was more crowded than our experience elsewhere on Emerald Isle in our decades of experience. The noise from music was loud until 11:00 PM for two days. Otherwise one of the best weeks we have had.
After vacationing at Emerald Isle for over
40 yrs. this is the best home we have ever stayed in! There are plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and TV's for large families. This home is beautifully decorated and has a well-equipped kitchen. It is in the perfect location being oceanfront, less than 1/2 mile from a fishing pier, and in walking distance to gift shops. We look forward to staying at The Double Dolphin again!
We (2 families each with 2 young adult sons)have stayed together in one house for the past 6 years on Emerald Isle and this is the first house we would rent again.
The bedrooms were nice sized, and each had a T.V. (important for teenagers), the bathrooms were also adequate, although we would like to see a bathroom on the ground floor.
The kitchen was awesome, well-stocked with pots, pans and amenities. The house is convenient to shopping and restaurants, and the beach view is wonderful.
As cat lovers, we were thrilled to have feline company outside, but it might not be for everyone.
We would not hesitate to recommend Double Dolphin.
