We stayed at Shannon Cottage for the month of September. It was everything we could have hoped for. The weather was great all month, the house was in a great location, the fishing was awesome, and the area was great for our grankids and our little dog. The queen beds were really comfortable, as were the sofas. There was plenty of room for everyone. The only minor problems we had were that the wooden furniture on the front deck was deteriorating somewhat, and the garbage cans smelled awful when we got there, and had to be cleaned out. Of course, the view was the best! Also, enjoyed the roomy outdoor shower. It was a great month! It was the first time we have used Emerald Isle Realty, and we will be using them again. The house location is fantastic with awesome ocean views but from the missing blinds in the bedroom to the uncomfortable mattresses to the rusty refrigerator with broken shelves and no light to the ants, cockroaches and spiders, this house needs a little maintenance. The overall experience left us with an impression that the owner is trying to maximize revenue by cutting back on maintenance expenses. Although numerous, most everything that needs updating is inexpensive.

We enjoyed the Shannon cottage. Outstanding location with a great view for 2nd row. Only complaint would be the old refrigerator. Everything else was very satisfactory and would return to this place.

Cottage is located with veiw of ocean, it's clean and well arrranged for family. The blinds upstairs bedroom and dining area do need repairs. That' the only fault I found. Service from EI Reality was great, both times I had to call. Thank you.

overall, we really enjoyed our stay at shannon cottage. the house was clean and had plenty of space for our family.
we loved the rooftop deck...gorgeous view!
my only complaint would be that the beds aren't very comfortable. also, we killed at least 20 spiders during our stay...needs to be exterminated.
i would probably rent it again...the price was good, as well as beach access.

Loved our vacation rental! House was darling, but a little sparse in the kitchen areas - no brownie pans, one sharp knife, etc. Fantastic view and very nice location. Would rent again in a heartbeat. (Might want a bigger TV though).

the service was great. please see that the comforters and mattress pads are as clean as the linens. as far as we were concerned this was just as great as being right on the beach. however, we had four small children and felt the home would be better suited for young and older adults. with children, at the end of the day, you would like to separate them in another area to watch tv, but in this home there is only one tv and it is located in the main living area. also, one really comfortable bed would have been nice. we ended up on thecouches themselves not the beds or sofa beds. so if i had brought along an a small tv/dvd combo and my areobed, i would have given this home a 9 out of 10(the only exception being cleanliness of aforementioned bed linens) thank-you, nadine
