when tropical storm Nicole hit the island, we got 15 inches of rain in 36 hours. That resulted in some door and window leaks, that were promptly handled when reported to the realty. Although the storm created some inconveniences, the home was safe and provided the amenities to help us spend the time away from the beach. The furniture is designed for people who are of smaller stature, not for those of us who are taller/larger, but we made do. The beds were comfortable, and using the Island linen service was very helpful.

Emerald Isle Realty is by far the best realty on the island. The friendly people and extra services provided make it a pleasant and restful vacation. Anything we needed was immediately attended to. The cottage is open with a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. It is a quiet part of the island and very family friendly. To sleep 12 the kitchen is small but well stocked with supplies. The owners are reachable and very kind. (We were there during a hurricane evacuation.)

This is the 10th year that our family has met in Emerald Isle and stayed together at the Windward Mark. It is like our second home and we all look forward to spending a week together at this house every year. We are comfortable there and plan to return for as many more years as we can.

My family has been coming to Emerald Isle for the past 10 years and for the past 8 years we have been renting Windward Mark. It is not large but it is right on the beach! It has everything that we need to be perfectly comfortable and everyone in my family feels at home there. This year the air conditioner quit working on the one side of the house. I called the realty office and not only did they send a repairman to fix the problem they also sent large fans to cool off the rooms that were affected. We have always been treated as family when doing business with the staff of Emerald Isle Realty and plan to continue doing so.

We have been renting this house for several years.The service that Emerald Isle realty provides is Really great! We have rented from Emerald Isle realty for the last 20 years with out any complaints. we really like Windward Mark because of location and it has everything you need for a great stay. What we like best is that it ocean front. What we like least is price increases.

The fact our family has rented Windward Mark for 12 years running (and reserved again for 2 weeks next year) is a testament to how much we enjoy this house. We especially love the new paint job in the great room and kitchen, and look forward to more changes for next year. Our only complaint is that the baths are on the tiny side, but who spends much time in the bathroom while on vacation???!!!
We wouldn't mind a bit more cabinet storage space for our groceries, or larger vanity space in the baths, but overall, we've become rather attached to this little place.
