What Past Guests Are Saying
Look no further, this area and ranch is ideal for exploring the
We rented a cabin for Labor Day weekend here and had a wonderful time. The Smith family is really genuine and generous with their time and efforts, and the entire area this ranch is located is filled with great wildlife, nice sprawling ranches and beautiful landscapes. Vern is a super cool guy that is really passionate about his life and work there, and is a plethora of info and advice. This place is very charming, romantic, authentic and rustic all rolled into one nice vacation spot, on the doorstep of Ysnp for day trips, and away from the crowds, though for Labor Day weekend, its was not bad as I imagined, and there was little traffic/issues to speak of, besides the main attraction at Old Faithful a cool old lodge anyway.

Outstanding - comfortable, great location, great value
This is the second time I have stayed at this property. I am a wildlife photographer and it is simply an outstanding place to stay when looking for a nature experience. It is just outside the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park, and that all by itself is enough to keep you busy. However, the area just around the cabin is great as well.
The cabin itself has all the comforts of home, yet you get privacy that you cannot get in a hotel. There is a full kitchen with all the tools so you can cook if you desire. While I usually travel solo, there is plenty of room to have family along. I do travel with my dog, and pets are welcome at the Smith family ranch.
I highly recommend staying at the Smith cabin. The cabin is inviting, comfortable, and spacious, and the Smith family is as friendly as they come. For a simliar cost to staying in a hotel, you can stay in a place with all the comfort and privacy of your own home. A great place to stay.
