This single family home features hardwood floors, a kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances, a wok (just in case you are in the mood for stir-fry), and a nice living room that is open to the kitchen and dining area, so that everyone can be together. Fantastic beachfront location, but the place was extremely tired. In fact, a week before we left they put a for sale board out the front.
Backup from the rental company was first class, but they need to keep an eye on what they are actually renting out.

Not one complaint. It was by far the most completely stocked rental house that we have ever stayed at. Very relaxing and oh so peaceful. My husband's father had just passed away, we need some quiet time, couldn't have picked a better place for it. Fell in love with the wok in the kitchen!

Various members of small family met to kick off summer 2010. Views from this cozy cottage were delightful. Grown up kids went down to the beach to surf, rest of us could cheer them on from the fantastic patio.
Layout of the house is a little unique with 2nd and 3rd bedroom being connected, but it worked out.
Kids and adults loved the putting green in front too.
Parking abundant for both cars - glad we had separate parking... it can get very congested in this area.
We'll be back! -

We generally vacation in California three or more times a year. We found out years ago that it makes more sense to us to rent a home vs staying in a hotel. Although we have enjoyed our stay each and every time, there was something always missing. Not this time! Our view was spectacular, the home was well kept, and as an added bonus, there was an ample driveway to park the car!

The place was fantastic for our family get together - well stocked, clean and very comfortable. Being able to walk into Leucadia easily for just about anything was fabublous too. Overall though, the reason why tis place is simplay awesome - the view....can't beat it!

The beach house could use some updating along with some maitenance. Such as the deck stained or painted. The plastic flowers in the flower planters need to be replaced with real plants would look so much better. Also the linens in the masterbedroom were stained and the quality of the towels were very poor. The location was excellent close to everything!! No flexability with the check in or check out times, so be careful when planning your trip if your flying in.

We had a lovely stay and we would definitely do it again. We loved the home, the view was incredible and the beach access was just a few homes away. We also had some excellent meals in restaurants in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay by the sea. We were high on a bluff and able
to watch the surfers try their skills. The house accommodated the four of us
very well, and the ease of getting into the house was just great. We liked the
wide open view of the ocean; the access to the beach was not too easy. -

We had a fabulous time. The home was beautiful and comfortable, providing essential amenities. The views were incredible! We had a great time. The house was very nice. The weather was perfect, not too hot! The beach was great because it was not crowded.
We enjoyed being close to the shops in town. But, the house was far enough for peace and quite.

We really enjoyed our stay at "Bluff House." Perfect house for gathering together as you have the Great Room (kitchen, living, dining rooms) with a wall of glass doors overlooking the huge deck and endless views of the ocean. Sunsets were AMAZING and had a ball watching the surfers catching waves. All from your own private bungalow.
Other huge benefits include being able to walk a few doors down to the beach access path. The nice gradual slope of the path was no problem at all for Mom.
And then there is the easy walk down a sloped street to Main Street where there was the coolest coffee shop and a selection of restaurants. Live music and great service at Robbie's.
And it's a beautiful, relaxing drive down the coast on Old 101 to San Diego and then a quick drive back up on the Interstate.
This house was a really nice spot to just hang and enjoy the beach or as a jump-off point for some exploring. -

It was a perfect time for us. One of the days was a bad weather day, but because the house is floor to ceiling windows-wall-to-wall, you didn't miss the effect of the ocean all day. We spent a lot of time on the deck reading, seeing whales, dolphins, seals. The beach and the neighborhood were quiet. It felt like home. There were so many restaurants and marklets nearby. Some days we went out, some days we just stayed and enjoyed the view. It truely was the most relaxing vacation we have ever experienced. The rental was clean and well decorated, so it felt very homey, and felt like we had a lot of privacy and security. It was very hard to leave! We still can't get over the view we had and being able to hear the surf all day and night.
It was also nice to know the service staff was available for any need, but never around or intruding.
We will return, and have already reccomended it to several people. -

We could not have picked a better location to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary! Despite being mid January, it was 80 degrees and beautiful in Encinitas throughout our entire stay. Cloudless skys during the day and full moon reflecting off the ocean at night really enhanced our stay at this quaint beachcliff home.

This was the PERFECT beach house to rent as a Christmas gift to my children and thier spouses! We had such fun in the town of Encinitas, great restraunts and shops. The house itself was wonderful, who could ever have a bad day with all the California sun pouring in the huge windows overlooking the beautiful Pacific! We would DEFINATELY rent this house again, and thankyou to Beachfront Only for excellent service and professionalism!

We were delighted with the property and would definitely consider returning.
One thing we noticed was that when the washer was running, the outside shower drain flowed over; I believe it is the same drain that the washer uses, but we were wondering if it has become blocked (by sand?) because it appeared that the entire washer full drained out onto the front walk and the lawn area. -

This was a nice retreat location. The property was clean and accessible. Some of the furniture was a bit "used" but functional. We did have a problem with the TV and DVD player (definitely needed with 2 small children), but the property manager and maintenance tech responded quickly and efficiently. It doesn't have direct beach access, but the 5 minute walk to the acess wasn't a problem. All in all would definitely recommend this unit. Thanks.

We usually stay in Oceanside and preferred it to Encinitas. We always had a house on the beach and we had to drive and then walk for beach axcess. It seems like the houses have become unaffordable for the average person.
