Stayed here on a girls weekend (Fri-Sun) and overall had a good time, but not so sure we'd choose to stay again. Pros: the view is breathtaking and definitely the biggest draw. The beds were comfortable, plenty of room for everyone, kitchen well equipped and modern, very cute town, centrally located to some restaurants and certainly to the beach. Cons: The train runs right through Encinitas and the tracks are not too far from the condo. The trains kept us up till about 12:15am and woke us up around 6:30am. Made for some unhappy guests. The bedrooms that face the street had a lot of street noise...probably because it's next to a small parking lot that early morning surfers use. Even with the windows closed, the noise kept waking up my friends all night. One night, the people staying in the bottom unit woke us up at 4am when they kept yelling and pounding on our door to let them in (mistaking it for their door). I am on the shorter side and the counters, kitchen and bathrooms, are apparently made for very tall people. I didn't measure it, but it seemed at least 40" high. It made it very difficult to do simple things like brushing my teeth or cooking. There is no aC, which is probably normal for being coastal. But we had one hot day and it made the condo very uncomfortable (thankful they had fans). The other days were cool, so it wasn't a problem. The garage is so narrow, can barely open the car doors! My biggest complaint is that we couldn't check in till 4pm (and I think the unit was empty prior to us) and checkout is ridiculously early at 10am. We understand the reasoning behind it..."the cleaning crew needs time". But I believe no one was checking in right after us either and they wanted to charge us $200 to stay an extra 2 hours! Checking out at 10am basically kills the day and shortened the vacation for us. So...would I stay here again? Never say never, but not likely...would probably try a new place next time. Despite the great view.

Highlight of our trip. Better than Disneyland, Seaworld, Universal Studios, legoland etc. Space for all. View outstanding and position second to none. Thinking of another visit already.

952 was so relaxing and wonderful. There are decks and windows galore so no matter where you are in the house you've got breathtaking views especially on the rooftop. Enjoyed a relaxing evening in the hot tub on the roof looking at the stars. There are always surfers and dolphins to watch. Our french bulldog absolutely loved laying on the sun warmed decks watching the sea birds. We'll definitely come stay again. The area was so quite and friendly, and Encinitas is so quaint, we'd love to live here. See you again next year.

This is a beautiful property. What you see on the website is what you get - it's even bigger than it looked on the web. The location was perfect. The garage is a bit narrow but we managed to fit a large and a small vehicle inside. Just loved it and will definitely work with BeachFront Only again when we get a chance.

I was very satisfied with the location and would recommend this house to large groups. The kitchen was fully stocked and cooking in it was great especially with the ocean view.
My only complaint was the lack of sun, but that is always a gamble on the So. CA coast and we knew that going in.
This would be a great place for families with teenagers or a group of adults. -

The house beat all of our expectations. It was clean, organized and stocked with all the supplies we needed. We spent most of the weekend on the roof deck and soaked in the early summer rays. The house was in a perfect location, walking distance to the beach (obviously) and shops along 101 in Encinitas.

We sure enjoyed this place. Gorgeous view and well taken care of! It was spacious and comfortable. They worked on a fireplace problem while we were there and there are a few issues with blinds and curtain rods but as quickly as they jumped on problems to fix them, I'm sure they are already fixed too.

Several of the screen doors basically were not on at all and were not fixable without likely new doors all together. The 950 unit ice maker does not work. The ice maker in the 952 unit is stuck on crushed ice only, have to pull out everytime if you dont want crushed ice. Definitly some bugs/insects in both units (this may be normal for the area) Only minor points, certainly did not overly affect our enjoyment of the location.

Excellent property! Excellent family time! We live in San Diego, so are local, so the 3 teenage kids could have friends over. They said this was a great vacation; like being in Hawaii but with all of their friends! We will definiely stay again; and, again because we're locals and our friends came by, we help to market to the local community.

We had a great time at this rental unit. We found the unit to be perfect along with the extra tv I requested. We did have an issue with the telephone working but reported same and I am sure it was taken care of. My only negative would have to be with the agent who told me it was a "gentle sloping path" to the actually beach. My question was "how difficult is it to get to the beach as my 80 yr old mother with a knee replacement and my ill spouse would be there. Her answer was "it's a gentle sloping path down to the beach" It was steep and a very tiny railing that was not secure in some areas. It would not be an easy path for anyone taking children/equipment. Other than that we found the house to be delightful and equipped very well.

I had a wonderful stay over Christmas with my family at 952 Neptune Ave. I was amazed at the pristine condition of the property and all of the little things that Beachfrontonly thought of from all of the amenities in the kitchen to the extra fans and heaters in all the closets. I enjoyed being able to walk out on the balcony every morning and not only watch the surfers, but also watch dozens of whales swim by! I felt spoiled in this home and my family and I WILL return. Thanks beachfrontonly for an amazing stay and wonderful memories.

We have enjoyed this property for the past 5-6 years on a yearly basis during the end of summer. The property has always been exceptionally clean when we arrive. We notice regular upgrading of the property from year to year. This year we noticed the undivided back deck that gives us a full ocean view and sounds the minute we go out the sliding door. The bluff overlook and third floor hot tub gives an unsurpassed view of the coast of Southern California.
The Beacon Beach is the best in the area for our 20+ grandchildren, because of the milder currents. I can't say thank you enough to Beachfrontonly for doing such a good job keeping this property pristine year after year. -

The location just can't be beat if you like hanging out at the beach and staying at a fantastic house. The views were insane and it was so easy to walk to PCH which had many food and drink options, we didn't need to use our car at all once we got there.

The properties have been rented by us multiple times. The management has done an admirable job of upgrading the grounds as well as inside amenities. We had an amazing vacation at this property and would definately recommend this house to friends as well as return ourselves. The management company was very helpful with issues that arose and responded quickly when needed for additional ammenities and fans. The only additional useful information I wish we had prior to arriving was a view of the actual trail used to get down to the beach. We were not aware of the trail length/steepness, and would not have brought a wagon along to help with carrying items to the beach. The trail would not have detoured us from the property but would have been useful to help in preparing for our treck to the beach since we had several toddler aged children and lots of stuff......

The walk down to the beach was farther than we had anticipated. Additionally, because there is no air conditioning we needed to keep the windows open. The temperature was fine but the street noise in the downstairs bedrooms was terrible, e.g. people walking there dogs at 5:00 am, the train whistle going off throughout the night, the street cleaning truck etc.

The unit/house was well equipped. I wanted to fly in our house keeper to clean it for us. The bathroom off of the kitchen area where the laundry room was had a horrible order My son cleaned it for me and what he got up would make one ill. Then one must worry are the beds clean etc. My 15month old granddaughter socks were filthy from running around on the floors an hour after we arrived. I realize that slate can be difficult to clean but someone needs to check on the cleaning crew. The people that manage the rental were very professional and extremely helpful. I should have brought this to their attention but as I said, my son cleaned that bathroom and we got on with our vacation. You have a lovely place and I would hate for it not to be taken care of properly. Regards, Vivian
P.S. you need another set of pans in there for cooking. You only have 2 sauce pans and for preparing a dinner you need more than that. -

Amazing Property!!! Loved our time at this beautiful home, very
spacious and comfortable. It is right above Beacon's, a popular surf
spot in North County, and my favorite part was sitting on the roof top
watching the surf and the sunset, while the rest of the family was in
the jaccuzi next to me. It was so peaceful, great location. Even
though we live in Encinitas, who needs to travel to be on vacation!!
Great outdoor shower, views are from La Jolla to Oceanside, well
stocked kitchen and all conveniences, even a fireplace. Would highly
recommend. In a quiet neighborhood which was nice, so would not
recommend if you want guests coming and going and are planning on
loud partying at night. We had a fabulous time!! -

One of the bedrooms was locked at check-in time. We were unable to use the room to get ready for a wedding rehersal dinner -- a great inconvenience to all concerned. Upon return from the rehersal dinner at 9:30 pm we were unable to access the condo. 10 people were locked out unable to get inside! Building maintenance were helpful in resolving the problem but it took !30 minutes with 10 very unhappy people waiting to get inside. After traveling most of the day they were ready for sleep and had to wait!

Next time I would choose one of the rentals on the sand because I have a fear of heights which was evident on my walk down the steep incline to the beach. Also I would recommend that the maid does not show up at 9:30 for a 10am check out. We were out as planned at 9:50am.

my name is darin moran i have stayed @ 952 neptune for the last two years during the first full week in June. The price went up a little the 2nd year, when you would think a repeat custmer would get a break. This last stay was met with a phone call basically doubling the price. Sorry as much as i love staying there i can not afford it anymore with the double price increase.

Our stay at 952 Neptune was my 60th birthday present
from my husband. My children and grandchildren joined us
for the best vacation ever! The condo was luxurious and
completely stocked (no need to pack alot} and I was able to
take spectacular pictures of everyone on the beach from our
balcony. Walking the beach is the best show of all, with
surfers,shells,cliffs,bikinis,ships.dolphins and spectacular
sunsets.
The restaurants in the area served high quality food and
some were in walking distance. We drove to La Jolla to watch
the seals but the train is a must as is the Carlsbad outlet and
Legoland . We loved the bike cart rides in San Diego when we
got off the train. My husband and sons planned to go to the
local gym (day rates apply) but we kept them too busy! Next
time guys. We all will definitely go back to Neptune and
"thanks for the memories"!

Ahhhh, what a lovely view and so roomy. Plenty of room for 11 to socialize or get away to a quiet spot to relax. Great local eateries withing walking distance.
Note: It does get really hot in the great room and on the decks in the afternoon. Wish they would extend the main deck around the building to the shady area. Also wish they had an awning along the main deck and some kind of shade on the roof deck.
Aside from that, it's an amazing place and well worth the rental fee.
We'll be heading back next year. -

Overall we were very pleased however; just a couple of comments. It would have been nice to have the fireplace key readily available without having to call someone to bring it over. Also, we were unable to get internet access in the house, yet was told and it was specifically listed in the property description that we would have access. So we had to drive to the internet cafe which was somewhat inconvenient. Finally, the remote to the garage did not work and was not fixed until the day before we left. Otherwise the house was beautiful and a great vacation rental.

we had a great time at your property. really impressed with the degree to which it was stocked with everything we needed. i'd suggest you add one or two luggage racks per bedroom as it's tough on us old folks to be bending over to access our suitcases!! also, the office is nice but with no phone jack, use of a computer is limited to the wireless access which, unfortunately i couldn't get. the latter was probably a function of a failing hard drive in my laptop as it crashed the day after your handyman and i tried to access the network. all in all my family had a blast and we'd return in a heartbeat!!!! rich powers

Our Family gathered to celebrate our Grandma / Mom's 75th Bday and had another great stay at 952 Neptune. My 12 year old daughter got up surfing and my oldest daughter got engaged after a sunset proposal on the beach. We had great meals at the local restaurants and even saw a couple great bands at the Belly Up. Amother great time in thanks to Beachfront Only Vacation Rentals
