My family and I stayed here to celebrate my graduation weekend and we could not have been more satisfied! the kitchen is stocked with every kitchen gadget you could need! the beds are unbelievably comfortable with foam mattress toppers. The storage is great! Towels and sheets galore. You won't want to leave the big patio. This home is clean and spacious. The location is ideal! Love this place and highly recommend!

My family and I stayed for a week, and we loved every minute of our stay. There were 3 couples and 1 baby. We all had our own space, and the house had everything we needed. The patio was a favorite hang out for everyone and we spent each night watching the sunset and the surfers. The floor to ceiling windows in the living room and dining room looking out to an unobstructed ocean view was amazing - the beautiful view made it hard to leave the house each day! The house was as advertised and more! Seems like Chris has thought of everything you could need. I would definitely like to come back and stay again - one week is not enough! Thank you Chris for an awesome vacation rental!!

We had a terrific time thanks to this well-equipped vacation home. The house was roomy and set up well for a couple of families to share.
We loved the view from the patio. Every morning and evening we watched the surfers conquer the waves. We also enjoyed seeing the dolphins and sea lions play. The sunsets were spectacular.
The neighborhood was nice, a great place to quietly walk in the morning and at night.
We would certainly return to this rental property. -

My husband, son (7 months) and I had a fantastic vacation at this wonderful home! The house is very well equipped, the beds are comfortable, and he home is clean and comfy. We pretty much just lounged around for 2 weeks, the house was so great we didn't want to leave. We'll definitely be coming back to this house. It's so great to be able to park in the garage. The back deck is very nice, we saw dolphins, orcas (I think, lol) and watched the surfers all day. We miss this place already!

Chris's beach home is very spacious and well appointed with a fantastic view from the large deck and yard. All the amenities and kitchen extras were great since we entertained local family on three different occasions during our week there. Chris attended to an issue with the hot tub quickly as she lives right behind the rental which I wasn't aware of. I would have liked to have known that beforehand. Overall, a wonderful vacation, beautiful memories made and I would definitely rent the home again.

My family stayed there for my birthday. We searched for something special and found it! We brought our 4 month old rescue German shepherd with us also (there is an enclosed area to keep dogs safe.) Oh my goodness, this place was so wonderful that we didn't leave to go to any of the many sites to visit, like the SD zoo, Disneyland, LegoLand, etc. We just spent time sitting out on the deck watching people and other creatures in the ocean. We also spent a lot of time on the beach. We bbq'd and found this place sooo relaxing, actually too relaxing. The house was so clean, comfortable and spacious. It had free movie channels but we didn't even watch tv. This house also has a spectacular view. We could even see the ocean from the master bedroom through the courtyard! And now I find out that it has upgraded to having a jacuzzi on the deck. I am now trying to get a reservation for 2 weeks so maybe we will actually take some time to visit some theme parks and other places, ha! Good luck to me, hope they have an opening. Oh, one more thing, the owner, Chris, was so nice and friendly and had fresh flowers in the house. She was an awesome hostess!

This house and its view are even better than in the photos, if you can believe that! Even though it rained a bit during our stay, we still had a great experience. We had 8 people (including one infant) staying here, so it turned out to be a great deal, compared to separate hotel rooms, especially since we could cook and grill ourselves. We spent many a morning and afternoon just sitting on the deck taking in the breathtaking view. The jacuzzi is a great addition, and the neighborhood is perfect for nice long walks, and it's within walking distance to shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this rental!

A group of Minnesota relatives flew to San Diego to help Aunt Carol (who lives not far from Encinitas) celebrate her 80th b-day. We had three generations staying in this lovely home. It's big, bright, clean, and comfortable, with a wonderful view out over the ocean. So fun watching the surfers and dolphins from the sweet garden/patio area.
The fully equipped kitchen made it easy for us to prepare a lovely meal for the whole family.
The winding path down to the beach is just three houses up the road, so daily walks on the beach were a given. And the town of Encinitas (just a half-hour walk down the beach) is charming.
Definitely recommend this house! -

Great Beach house right on the water. Views were awesome and the house was well equipped. Plenty of room for two families with a great living/dining combo. Great location in a local beach town, still close to all the SD attractions. Path to the beach is tough for younger children. We plan to stay again in 2011.
