Easy walk to restaurants, boutiques, and down town Encinitas, California. Central to all that San Diego has to offer! Legoland only 10 minutes north, Del Mar on ly 10 minutes south, and easy drive to San Diego downtown, Sea World, Zoo, Wild Animal Park, head north to Disneyland. Walk to the Coaster Train Station.

Stepping into this home is like stepping back to a time when houses were built with integrity and the promise of all the good that life has to offer. Completely finished in knotty pine, with it's open beam ceilings and gorgeous wood floors, the warm embrace of this home allows you to feel less like you are on vacation, and more like you've "come home".
The living spaces are filled with beautiful antiques, tastefully arranged around more modern, high quality and comfortable leather sofas. The large guest bedroom, decorated with antiques and quilts, has that comfy cottage feel to it. But, you will really know you've arrived when you enter the master bedroom. Massive in size, accentuated by an open beam ceiling, the master bedroom is truly a relaxing retreat at the end of a long day at the beach. The king sized bed is firm and comfortable, dressed in high quality bedding. There is also a children's nook in the master, furnished with bunk beds to accommodate the grandchildren. Both bathrooms are appointed with high quality fixtures and tiling.
From the cabinets to the flooring, the warm woods continue throughout the kitchen and laundry area. The cabinets are well stocked with everything you need for preparing and serving home meals. And, although quite dated, the appliances are all functioning, making this kitchen totally accommodating. The kitchen is flanked by a lovely dining room, overlooking the deck and the ocean view through the picture window.
And what about the ocean view from the deck? Simply breathtaking. In fact, you can take in this view from nearly half the house, as it was designed with wall to wall windows. Located just a few steps from Stone Steps, access to the beach could not be more convenient. An easy walk down the block or down the shoreline takes you right to Moonlight beach, while an easy walk east, leads you to Coast Highway and all the shopping and dining Encinitas has to offer.

If you want a vacation where you literally feel as if you are living over the ocean then this is the house for you. The house is positioned for great privacy and the outside space is great for entertaining with a dining table for 6 and lots of extra seating with built in benches and a hot tub all overlooking the Pacific. The master bedroom is huge and there are two living rooms, one with a terrific flat screen TV and the other overlooking the ocean. The kitchen isn't new but has all you will need to make dinners or entertain friends. We loved our stay and are making plans to come back next year.
