We absolutely loved staying at Iona. It was comfortable, very well equipped and had a really nice homely feel about it.
It was ideally placed for us to discover Ireland and it was a peaceful place to come home to at the end of the days adventures.
To cap it all you were a very welcoming host. Thanks for making our holiday special.

We are a family of five which includes three young children. The house was perfect in that it had plenty of space ( lots of bedrooms, large kitchen, large dining room and comfortable sitting room ) It was well catered for children with a high chair and cot and the added bonus was a very large enclosed garden and games room for the children to play in. The home made buns and bottle of wine in the fridge was a lovely touch! Location was great in that you could look out onto country fields but could easily travel into Dublin for days out. We had a fabulous time and will recommend to all our friends and will definitely be back!

Five of us stayed at Iona for four days. We were very pleased.
The house was clean and bright with plenty of room. The kitchen was functional and had all the equipment that you would need for a short stay. The grounds were beautiful.
The location was great. It was close enough to Dublin that you could be there within an hour but far enough away that it was quiet and restful. There were several pubs that served excellent food within ten minutes. There were lots of places to walk.
We would definitely recommend this place and would stay here if we were in this area again. -

So near but yet so far.Iona located in the heart of the countryside but still close enough to experience a lot of attractions. The house itself is roomy and has a homely feel about it. One of its unique selling points which our kids loved was a computer with internet access. Yes it rained a bit but we had a plan B. While there we visited Trim Castle, Tullynally Castle, Belevedere House,Pictures in Mullingar,Swimming in Trim and Mellowes adventure park. The large garden was great for the kids as too was the games room.We liked its location as I had two appointments in dublin during the week and had to drive back.Overall we had a great time and would return in the future.

I would like to thank Trudy for one of the most relaxing holidays ever. We Visited her home with our children 6, 4, and 1. We were able to open the front door and the children played in the wonderful gardens for hours. When we read the reviews it said that the house was well equipped, and that was an understatement, We could have arrived with our clothes and toothbrush and we would have had everything we needed there. The house is in a prime spot to go to alot of attractions, and has ample living space so cabin fever would never set in. Trudy keeps the house spotless. She is a very warm heart-ed person. Thanks for everything xx Would really recommend this property and would go back in a heartbeat xx

Myself and my family spent two weeks in the splendid Iona house. We were looking for somewhere to get away from things and relax and that is exactly what we got in this wonderful location. With it's large garden it's fantastic for a family break (especially when the sun appears) and the house itself has everything you need. We found the house extremely charming and were made to feel right at home on arrival. The owner Trudy is a as nice a person as we have met, she was so helpful with any query we had and made a great break even better for us. While we were looking for a break and to get away from things the location is also perfect for those looking to explore the many attractions in the boyne valley and 45minutes from Dublin city centre, also a short distance away you can access a motorway all the way to Galway which should get you there in under an hour and a half making day trips to the west practical. All in all we couldn't recommend Iona highly enough

The warm and friendly welcome we received on arrival and throughout our stay was second to none. The house itself was fantastic with plenty of room and spacious rooms and gardens for the kids to play in .The location was in a nice quiet area but within easy distance of local ammenties and local attractions. The warm and friendly reception we received on arrival right throughout our weeks visit until it came to our time to go was fantastic. Also the freshly baked scones with butter and jam that were waiting for us on our arrival were mouthwatering and delicious.

This was our second visit to Iona, and we returned because there is nowhere better for anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing week in a lovely house in lovely surroundings. Iona is warm and welcoming even when it is raining (the woodburning stove is a great addition!)and its situation means that while it is wonderfully quiet, it is close to a network of very good roads giving easy access to many nearby sites and towns.

Once again we stayed at the bungalow owned by Trudy, what a superb location for a holiday. If you want peace and quiet, this has it abundance. If you want to sight see, Irelands scenary and histoeical locations have it all. The bungalow is all that you would want for a holiday, well proportioned with good amenities.
Made to feel welcome from the first moment we arrived, wiil certainly be back again. -

Trudy McGuiness and family provided excellent and personalized service during our stay at Iona. We met almost every member of the family who were only a phone call away if we had a question. Every question was answered quickly and usually in person, which made us feel comfortable and at home. The McGuinesses really know the virtue of hospitality.
We loved the home. It is a spacious four bedroom home that provided our family, two adults and a toddler, with a tremendous amount of living space. Especially nice is a large fully equiped kitchen connected to a large dining room, both set off from the living room and the bedrooms. The living room is comfortable and cozy, and the bedrooms are warm and inviting. Another feature which added to the convenience of our stay were the three bathrooms that included two showers and a bath. The parking is also very covenient, with a large parking space in front of the house.
The location is ideal. Iona is in the country, but close enough to the university campus at Maynooth and to the city of Dublin to feel that you partake in the urban experience. Also, the town of Enfield has supermarkets, drug stores, and a number of good restaurants and take-outs to make daily living very convenient.
What we liked best about Iona was that we could walk outside some mornings and show our daughter a flock of sheep in the backyard! And again, the pesonal attention of Trudy McGuiness and her family made us feel right at home.
