Boston, MassachusettsPeaceful, Clean, and Beautiful!

We didn't know what to expect when we booked online and spoke with one of the owners who was very helpful in answering our questions. However, we were pleasantly suprised when we arrived. Our unit was very tastfully decorated, had all the modern amenities(internet, cable, flat screen tv), and the setting was amazing. The water was beautiful, and they have done a nice job of landscapping. We really enjoyed watching the sunsets which were spectacular from the sun deck! We even managed to catch a few fish of the dock. This place has a charm that is hard to find these days. We will be back next year.

We rented this unit without seeing any pictures due to the owner repeatedly telling us that he was doing updates and would send them after he was finished. He never sent any pictures and after ariving we could see why. Paridise Cove at Lemon Bay has I believe 9 units. We stayed in unit #9 which was across a small street from the bay and that was mentioned to us and was not a problem. We were told it was a 2 bedroom unit with aC and cable tv and wifi. When we stepped into the unit we looked at each other and said "do we want to stay here?" The place was small which was ok with us but it was a renovated garage and office which was moderately clean. The kitchen cabinets did not have any doors and there was plenty of dust everywhere. We noticed that the refrigerator door was flush with the wall and when we stepped into the master bedroom, we found the back of it. There was a wall around it but no top. Then we found the other "bedroom". It was nothing more that a very small den with a single bed in it and there was no door. Worse yet, you had to go through it to get to the only bathroom. The aC unit was noisy and was quieted to where it was bearable but was never fixed. With all this going on, it actually took us a week to realize that we did not have cable tv. After asking the manager about it, he said he had to order a box, which never arived. At least we did have a weak wifi signal which was very consistent. A big reason we were able to bear this was that the other renters were all very wonderful people. We then decided to chalk it up as an adventure and made the best of it, spending as little time as possible in the unit.
The location was good, and the other units, although small, were newly updated and very much more liveable than our unit. All the pictures you see on the website is of the 1 unit that faces the bay and is very nice looking.
The price was reasonable, and now we know why, and the place is pet friendly as a few of the other renters had dogs.
After this experience, we will now be more alert and will investigate much more closely before we rent for a month. -

We enjoyed our stay at Paradise Cove. It was relaxing and fun! We visited the beaches, drove down Canopy road, and visited the state park. From the dock, we saw a beautiful sunset. The next time we want to kayak and fish, and spend more time on Dearborn Street – where we found a shop that sells beautiful pictures done by local artists. Can’t wait to vacation at Paradise Cove again.

I had a very enjoyable vacation at Paradise Cove.I don't usually travel alone, but I felt safe and did not encounter any problems while staying there. Richard, the groundskeeper, was so helpful with directions and suggestions for dinner. He even cooked my dinner one night!! Great spot for families...even pets! Will definitely return soon!
