The Log Cabin features an outstanding, new custom interior including a fully furnished and equipped kitchen with built-in cabinetry, and bathroom with hairdryer. Amenities include a queen bed and sofa sleeper, a wood burning fireplace, heat, air conditioning, ceiling fan, cable TV with DVD/VCR/CD, WI FI, phone, coffee, and muffins. The cabin has a private deck with a view of the woods, gas grill, table and chairs. Daily maid service, towels and linens are provided.

The little cabin was cute - we enjoyed the great location in Ephraim and the log-cabin style, its little back deck, and access to the hot tub on the property. This might be my fault - perhaps I didn't read the description properly, but the cabin is essentially one room. I would describe it more as a studio - the living space and bedroom are all one room (with a fireplace, which was nice!) - and a doorway to a small kitchen and bath. This is not a big deal and had it been just my husband and I, we wouldn't have minded, but we were traveling with a 7 month old who goes to bed around 7pm, which made it difficult to do much of anything inside after that time. Also - I felt it could've been a little cleaner than it was - it is really nice that there is housekeeping and the bed is made every day, fresh towels, etc. But even after a cleaning there were lots of dead flies lying around. I would just want visitors to know that it's small and "rustic".

This guest has admitted that she was at fault for misinterpreting the Log Cabin accommodation. This couple reserved the Log Cabin for 4 nights for themselves and their child and their 2 dogs. We made an exception to allow their 2 dogs and they were happy we would accommodate them. When the Log Cabin guests check in, we tell them to keep their doors closed because we are in the woods and there are all kinds of things that can get into the Cabin. They left the deck doors open rather than closing the windows/screens and turning on the A/C. The guest never mentioned to me that there were dead flies in the Cabin; if she had, we would have taken care of it immediately. There is housekeeping every day and the housekeeper sweeps and cleans every day. This guest was unhappy because there was not a separate bedroom for her child. She knew that it was a one-room cabin because I told her that and it is also explained on our website as such. I also sent her additional pictures showing the inside of the Cabin; there are also pictures on our website. We have pet rules that we emailed to her when she made the reservation, but she called me the day before their arrival and said that she just read them and didn't especially like our rules. Of course, the reservation is non-refundable the day before arrival. She was not happy about this either. We are always willing to please our guests and fix a problem, if there really is one, of course. The Log Cabin is our most popular accommodation and we never have any issues with it.
