Description from the owner
Our spacious house is located in Baer Beach, just West of Presque Isle right on Lake Erie. The water is ~10 yards from our door surrounded by beach. We have 3 bedrooms, and 2 bunk rooms, and can accommodate up to 12 people. The house is 3 stories and mostly glass, offering the best views of any house on the beach. Our spacious wrap around deck also has glass to provide unobstructed views of the lake A private community beach on one side gives you more privacy than other beach houses. There is an outdoor fish cleaning sink/station and commercial size ice machine.

This home worked perfectly for our family to prepare 20 pies, entertain guests, craft favors and decorations for my daughter's wedding at Waldemeer and Presque Isle. Don't trust your GPS or iphone for directions, though. Finding the place was tricky, so trust the landlord instead and get clear instructions. Also, be aware that all the bedrooms had both bunk beds and double beds. That works great for families with children, but possibly not so well for 12 adults! Another caveat: cell phones cut out about halfway down the bluff, but the owners let you use their land line. Computers and TV were fine. We loved the house and will recommend it to our friends. Erie, pa, is an easy town to navigate and the local people are very friendly.

We have stayed at the Sandcastle several times and keep coming back for more. The house is beautiful and full of amenities. It comfortably sleeps a large group and the Stahls have been superb hosts. It truly feels like we are guests at a friend's house. The views of the lake are spectacular and nothing beats walking to the waterfront right outside your door. Whether you viewing a spectacular sunset or witnessing a sudden storm, the Sandcastle is the place to be.

I grew up in Erie and go back every summer to see family and friends! It's great as the kids swim and play on the beach and adults talk while watching them. Close to all amenities in Erie, such as grocery stores,restaraunts, movie theatres, Waldameer! The Stahl's are very generous with the house which can sleep 10 people easy.You feel like it is yours. Literally the favorite week of the year because the house is so wonderful for everyone.

My family and I have done a summer week at the Sandcastle for three years now and it is the highlight of our year. It's like being on an ocean. The view is incredible, the sunsets are perfect, and every year we've had a waterspout touch down just off shore. The house is perfect in every way, and I don't think I can expand on that. Now if I can just catch some fish...
