Description from the manager
This villa was built in the XVIIth on a former settlement dating from the early middle ages.
Located near the entrance of Port Mahon, its architecture reflects the history of successive occupations, Moorish, English, French and finally Spanish.
It has been restored with style and offers upscale comfort.
The house is surrounded by gardens and has a pool.
Perched on the border of a nature reserve, the villa benefits from a unspoiled view. The sea is accessible by a 15 minute walk or bike ride across a natural Menorcan landscape. We have a private cabin on the coast equipped with beach furniture, BBQ etc. The access to t...Read more

Additional Location Information
The history of Menorca is very rich; you will find plenty of information on the internet, at tourist information desks or in travel guides. Here are our personal suggestions:
Visit of the Mola fortress
This military complex was built as a defence system for the Port of Mahon, the largest natural harbour in the Mediterranean, see: www.fortalesalamola.com
Museum of Menorca, Avenida Doctor Guardia, s/n 07701 Maó Tel. +34 971350955
April to end of Oct.: Tuesday-Saturday: 10:00 – 14:00 and 18:00- 20:30, Sundays: 10:00 – 14:00
S'Hostal quarries (Líthica)
On the island, most of the traditional buildings are made of limestone (mares). The quarries are located near the town of Ciutadella and are very impressive: www.disfrutamenorca.com/canteras-shostal
This visit should be combined with a tour of Ciutadella itself (old town and harbour).
You can access the sea from the house; there is no defined path. Follow our road until it ends and then walk through the wild landscape you will discover a unique wild natural coast.
The island has many beaches and coves (calas). Most are unspoiled as the island has been well protected from the abuses of tourism developments. By car, we suggest to drive to: Cala Alcaufar (SE), village of Binibecca, Es Grau (E), Cap de Cavalleria, Cala Morell (NW), Cala Macarella (SW).
If you are ready to walk, you can’t miss:
Cala Presili: take direction of Cap de Favaritx (NE corner of the island), 1 km before the lighthouse, there is a wooden gate. Park your car there and take the trail, after about 800 m take the path to your left which leads to the beaches.
Cala Pregonda: Go to the north of the island, to Binimel-la beach which is accessible by car from the village of Es Mercadal. From Binimel-la, you will be able to walk westward along the coast to Cala pregonda (20 min).
NOTE: when you pass by Es Mercadal, we suggest you to stop in the city center, at a bakery called Villalonga-Ca’s Sucrer, and buy some amargos which are traditional almond based delicacies.
There are many good restaurants in Menorca. The most proximate areas are the Port of Mahon and Torret-S’uestra (exiting Sant Lluis southward).
If you just want to have tapas and traditional dishes, we strongly recommend this neighbourhood, inexpensive restaurant located in the center of Sant Lluis, La Rueda, Tel. +34 (971) 15 03 49 or 971 15 11 84, email@example.com closed on Tuesdays.
