Description

The Lake House is at Lake Hodges, just a stones throw away.......Guests from around the world tell us; from their first step into the lake house they feel they've finally found their home away from home!

Just close enough for convenience but hidden in a secluded valley for an inspiring stay. This is a craftsman style house with high quality textures. The ultra suede feeling of the faux walls capture you upon entering and as you pan the living room with large bay windows your eye catches unique artwork and decor......it just feels inviting and good. The rooms are open and the skylight and many windows allow plenty of light. Accents of the artistry are prevalent through out the house...The bathroom has a full tub and shower and is clean and unique. There are great views off the decks. A view to remember.........off the kitchen breakfast deck the early sunrise peaks between the distant mountains or relax in the early evening with you favorite beverage as the moon rises to shimmers off the lake.

There are two larger decks and a big bbq/smoker off the kitchen deck with steps to the lower yard areas. The yard is large, fenced and has many fruit trees, succulents, lush plants and old growth trees and palms. The old pepper tree has a treehouse (it's for aesthetics only no climbing) and an owls house built in the higher branches. Some pets may be allowed and the yard is perfect for them to play, sniff and roam. The house is well maintained and professionally cleaned.

You'll find the kitchen roomy, generously equipped and has plenty of storage for you needs. There's a four top stove/oven broiler, full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and other amenities. French doors open to the breakfast deck just off the kitchen. A washer and dryer are housed in a separate area off the kitchen. There are two bedrooms. Ceiling fans provide added comfort to each room the room. The beds are comfortable and firm the master bedroom is a queen bed and the guest room has a double bed, there is a double high self blow up double bed.... all the beds are high quality. Fresh towels, linens, sheets, blankets are supplied upon arrival. We incorporated new with a period look to the house. Slate, mosaic tiles, hardwood floors, faux wall, vintage and contemporary mixed give the house is a crisp yet novelty about it, even the exterior has an interesting appeal ..... We hope you thoroughly enjoy your vacation at our Lake House just as so many others have!

Getting around

A car is preferred for shopping and getting around the city and attractions. Shopping and restaurants are within minutes, most travel is less than half an hour. The coaster/sprinter is a few miles to the station and can quickly take you to the coast or other destinations. Major airport is Lindberg field and is a 30 min drive as is down town San Diego.

Interaction with guest

We love meeting guest but usually only interact when requested, need to maintain or show them how to use something. We will be in communication through out your stay and may visit the house but will notify (usually text or call)you first. Guests can contact us anytime.

Guests must be 21yrs+ to rent with verification and credit card. No large parties or excessive noise. Pets may be allowed(extra charge). Do not run AC/Heat with doors/windows open or while away. At check out, no need to strip bedding, pile used towels in bath area, wash dishes, take out trash. Generally clean surfaces,oven/stove ect. Separate recyclables (blue bin) other trashes (grey bin) place in appropriate bin for pick up. Turn off lights and systems, close windows/doors, please text us.
