Description from the owner
A private beach in an eco-marine reserve, a mexican style roundhouse surrounded by tropical garden and forest, and the comfort of a restaurant with organic food at 5 minutes walking distance. This is our beach paradise!
The house has a ground floor with an open plan kitchen/ living/ dining area and the master bedroom with double bed and lots of storage room in built-in cupboards.
On a gallery level *half the size of the ground floor) there is a sleeping area for kids or a second family, with a king size bed, a double bed and shelf space. All beds have big, built-in mosquito nets and night lamps.

Away from it all. A 5 hour drive from Quito or short flight to Esmeraldas. The well visited beach locations of Atacames, Same and Sua are a short drive away, but Playa Escondida is indeed a hidden location. You have your private little beach with perfect waves, great sunsets and nature all around.

I loved this beach house, the concept of beeing so close to Nature was what impressed me the most. The distribution of the house, as a family we had little kids and teenagers and during the day they where all over the property. The beach is beautifull and very safe. I loved hearing the birds in the morning ! I love birds and nature. The food at the hotel near by is great!
I will certainly recommend this house! -

We just spend 3 nights at the Wantara Beach Camp, and it was amazing! The structure of the Mexican round house gives you the impression that you are constantly living outside, surrounded by the beautiful garden. There is a well-equipped kitchen with fridge and oven, which allows you to bring food and prepare things yourself. Downstairs there is a bedroom for 2, and upstairs there are some extra beds (2 + 1,5). In the garden, in a separate small house, is the shower and compost toilet. A short pathway gives access to the private cliff beach. At low tide there is some interesting rock pooling to do. At walking distance there is a very good restaurant with ocean view. When you are looking for complete tranquility and relaxation, this is the place!

We stayed for 2weeks over Xmas this year. It was very relaxed, a lovely group of staff and guests in a beautifully designed and well resourced house. Really private, with great local and international staff at hand to help out without ever being intrusive. We cooked a lot, buying fresh seafood and any supplies from Tonchigue(20min drive) and occasionally octopus from the beach. A great restaurant at the bottom of the hill too, with a nice place to swim, and fun rock-pooling below the house at low tide.
