You are welcomed into our home as a friend would be. As the expat owners we share our home and our knowledge of real life in Costa Rica. We are located near beaches and those water-oriented attractions that may be on your agenda. Yet, we are off the touristy beaten path. North American bilingual hosts, GLBT friendly, Pet friendly, Air-conditioned bedroom with double/full size orthopedic bed with adjoining private bathroom w/ hot water shower.   My visit to Deb and Rob Klipper's Oasis by the Sea near Esparza, Costa Rica, was transformational. I relaxed deeply, slept soundly and felt myself enveloped in serenity and peace. The physical environment was welcoming, colorful, warm and charming. The B&B hosts were friendly, informative, fun-loving and kind. There was the perfect balance of activity and relaxation. The B&B itself was filled with all kinds of unexpected amenities including a pool, an outdoor grill, musical treats, a private shower and bath, accessibility to a washer/drier, lovely decor and good energy. The view from the front porch and patio was spectacular. The plants and flowers the surrounded the house were exotic and plentiful. You could tell that a lot of attention went into the details of creating a sanctuary for all to enjoy. This was definitely a five-star experience without all the pomp and circumstance of a plastic chain hotel in the city! I highly recommend Oasis by the Sea and look forward to returning regularly.

  This B&B; is a perfect location to relax and get your bearings before you start your travels in Costa Rica especially if you're heading to the Northern regions and the Nicoya Peninsula. Rob and Deb Klipper ,the owners ,are wonderful easy going hosts. Whether you are newcomers or thinking about moving to Costa Rica they are a wealth of information and are very helpful in answering all your questions as you set out on your adventures of this beautiful Country. The food and service is awesome ..(for dinner be sure and ask for the homemade Pizza or fresh grilled Tuna.) I've stayed with them on 2 of my last 3 visits and even though I've seen most of the country by now I still just enjoy relaxing and hanging out with them whenever I can. I highly recommend this B&B...I; know you won't be disappointed...but whatever you decide to do may your travels be safe and as far as Rob and Deb... as always...they'll leave the light on.

  A Delicious Oasis by the Sea

  My husband and I have visited Rob & Deb's wonderful B&B; in Esparza, Costa Rica, numerous times already when looking for a weekend away. And immediately from our first visit we were hooked. The B&B; is close to one of the best left hand surf breaks in Costa Rica, a wonderful protected beach with monkeys, Puntarenas city as well as the quaint little town of Esparza.
  
  But I guess what really got us hooked was the company. Rob & Deb are the most wonderful people, entertaining, caring and friendly. They have always made the most to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, not to mention as delicious as possible. During one of our stays I had managed to hurt my neck and they called their massage therapist to pop over and have a look. During another of our stays we brought with us a friend with multiple food allergies, with gluten intolerance being just one of them, and Deb threw together a gourmet feast even though she was somewhat constrained in what could be offered.
  
  In January during our last visit we brought with us our little 4 month old baby who had a wonderful time lying naked on a towel in the rancho, looking out over the pacific and enjoying the lovely breeze.
  
  I would very much recommend this B&B; to anyone who is in need of some delicious treats in good company in a wonderful location up on a hill in Esparza. Personally I think its great if you have a car at your disposal since this will mean you can venture out very easily, but I know that Rob & Deb do offer some additional services such as getting you out and about in case you dont have one.
  
  Another wonderful thing about this B&B; is that it has a gorgeous breeze that makes it so much nicer than down by the hot and stuffy beach. Wonderful to get back to after a day of adventures.
  
  And be sure to ask to try Rob's fantastic pizza made in his own pizza oven as well as Deb's delicious and oh so moist carrot cake!

  It is so easy to do what we do when we have guests as wonderful as Joel, Linda, Emmie and their little doggies.
