Ideal house in perfect location for the real Morocco

Left on 05/20/2013 for a stay in April 2013

This house is equipped with everything you'll need. It is beautifully designed to provide a bright and airy living space. The small local 'shops' provide everything you'll need for breakfast on the sun terrace - don't forget the oranges for your fresh juice each morning! Allison was so helpful, advising us on everything from great places to eat to the best way of getting to the Sunday market at Had Dra (excuse my spelling!), and confirming that the trip to the "shack" on the beach at Sidi Kaouki is definitely worth the seafood that's served up there.
Best recommendation is that we'll definitely be back as long as it's available!

      Lovely place in the medina

Left on 05/19/2013 for a stay in May 2013

We stayed at Tigmi Mzine with 5 people and the place was exactly as the owner, Allison, promised. Spacious, clean, nicely decorated and with all the facilities you need. We especially loved the terrace on the roof, which we shared with a seagull family. Perfect for breakfast and cooling down at night. The house is right in the middle of the great medina of Essaouira, with lost of interesting places to visit, eat and shop.

      Cute and cozy

Left on 04/14/2013 for a stay in February 2013

Tigmi mzine is a modern house with a thoroughly Moroccan feel.
Our ensuite bedroom was on the ground floor while the kids were on the first. This worked out really well - having our own, if small, floors! Also loved having a real fire most evenings, with drift wood collected from the beach. Great fun!
Afternoons were spent relaxing on the 'sun-trap' terrace - what bliss!
Continual hot water; good beds with lovely feather duvets and crisp white cotton sheets.
Loved all the shops, restaurants and fresh fish on sale. Oh, yes and the horse riding on the beach - wow! The kids preferred the camel riding and quad biking over the dunes.
Cool house, great town and amazing weather! Couldn't have asked for more!

Amazing riad, lovely beach, lovely restaurants

Left on 09/24/2012 for a stay in September 2012

If you want to stay right in the medina then this is the place for you. It took us a bit of time to get used to living amongst the locals but after a few days we settled in. The riad is really lovely and decorated to perfection. Yo can get breakfast from the little shops just down the road and have it in the lovely kitchen in the riad. We had spent 4 days in the mountains and marrakesch before hand so it was nice to have a relaxing time. We spent most of the time on the beach which is lovely, haggle for the beach umbrellas, if you walk down to the umbrellas that are outside fanatic, restaurant you can use their loos. We also did a fab cooking course and we did a hammen at azur which is just off the main square, the right after taros. Lovely restaurants would recommend triscala, la decouvert, taros and caravan cafe. All you have to watch out for is alot of morroccon men offering camels for daughters, young people etc, but try and laugh it off! all in all a good experience.

      Perfect Stay!

Left on 06/01/2012 for a stay in March 2012

My family and I (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed at Tigmi Mazine in March and had a really fantastic week. The house was perfect for us - comfortable, spacious, clean, fully equipped and very nicely decorated. It has been designed and furnitured with a lot of thought and care. The beds were very good and the showers nice and hot. The living -dining- kitchen room was great for all the family to sit, talk and eat together . And the terrace was lovely with a great covered seating area and lots of south-facing sun. The house is well situated too - close to the centre of the medina - the shops. cafes and restaurants while still being close to the outside walls. We came with a hired car, which we were able to park just outside the walls, only a 5 mins walk away. The beach was easy to get to too. The only downside was forgetting to bring something that was in your room on the ground floor 3 flights down when you were up on the terrace!!!
The owner was very helpful too, and gave us lots of advice and tips which helped to make our holiday prefect.
I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a bright, clean, comfortable, well decorated place to stay in the medina of Essaouira.

A stunning and memorable Riad to spend the holiday

Left on 05/24/2012 for a stay in April 2011

Upon arrive at Tigmi Riad we were pleasantly shocked by the beauty of the entire house. You are greeted by an elegant spiral staircase leading to second & third floor as well as the roof terrace. Each of the ground and first floors are host to three traditionally decorated bedrooms, one of which has a well equipped en-suite. The Raid is beautifully decorated with authentic aspects wherever you look. A particularly nice feature is the roof terrace - A perfect place to have breakfast or spend a quiet afternoon admiring the view of the Medina.
The location of the Riad is perfect - A mere five minute walk from the bus stop. Immediately after stepping outside the house you are submerged by beautiful alleyways leading to the beach, markets and restaurants. All just minutes away.

Thanks Laurence for your review - so glad you enjoyed your stay. However, I think you made a slight mistake with the dates (slip of the finger on the keyboard I think) as you came this year (2012) and not in 2011.
Just thought I would just let readers know.
      Thanks again.
