The Villapartments are in Villa Tranquilla on Calle de la Luz in Urbanisation Don Pedro which comprises low built detached villas - no apartment blocks !!!
We are at the end of a very quiet cul-de-sac with ample free parking. 3 restaurants; the beach; 2 supermarkets and a 5* GL hotel are all within a 15 minute walk. 3 golf courses are within a 10 minute drive. Floodlit tennis courts are also not far away.
The best beach in the area is only a 5 minute drive and the Port of Estepona a further 2 minutes. A car is recommended, but not essential as there is a good taxi service and buses from the bus-station go to a number of destinations,
There is so much to explore including Estepona Old Town; white villages like Casares, Gaucin & Manilva. Puerto Banus & Marbella are only 20-30 mins and Gibraltar 45 mins.
Further afield, but less than 2 hours is Ronda, Malaga, Granada & Jerez. Cordoba & Seville are slightly further.

We had a good stay, while hiking trough the remote area's only 1/2 an hr away from the nice villa. The appartment was nice and clean, and had all you need, including items like a toaster, an oven, a BBQ, etc., and a nice and quit garden, well maintained too. Visit the old Estepona if you plan to stay here, and drink a cafe solo or a nice wine on the plaze del flores.

We stayed at Villa Tranquilla for 28 days. We enjoyed. Living away from home at home. It is one vast beautiful villa on the slope of a hill overlooking the sea. Quiet - tranquil - surroundings. No traffic. And yet beach and supermarkets within walking distance. Old Estepona - one of the least crowded villages on the costa del sol - a 5 minutes drive by car. The owners - Neville and Lynne - live in the upper part. Three other independent apartments in the building are for rent. We stayed in the pool apartment. Clean light and tasteful. Large covered terrace with perfect views over pool and garden. Big ships in the distance. Birds in the sky. Waving palm trees in the wind. A marvellous garden, separated from street and neighbourhood by green hedges, trees and bushes. The jasmine was smelling very pleasantly. The apartment consisted of two very spacious rooms. One big bedroom with plenty of cupboard space. One with kitchen and living area. All very well equipped. Everything you could possibly need was there in fine condition. Very comfortable. Gas-barbecue and Wi-fi too. Communal facilities: pool, washing machine, ping-pong table. Easy to park your car, out on the street. Good starting point for all kind of trips.
Neville and Lynne - very friendly and outgoing hosts, not in any way pushy or obtrusive - were like the neighbours you allways would have wanted. They are able and willing to tell you a lot about everything you would want to know f.i. places to visit, where to eat, what to .. and how to... Or even show you the way to the dentist or whatever facility or service you could need. We saw Neville most and had many a good laugh. He has become a friend to us.

Our stay in Estepona at Neville and Lynne's place was absolutely lovely. The only thing that could have been better was the weather, and if Neville could have arranged for perfect weather he would have. He and Lynn are perfect host going out of their way to make your stay a good one. The place was very clean with comfortable beds, fantastic views of the Sea, and beautiful gardens. They really have tried to think of all of your needs while staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, very tranquil indeed.Situated in a well kept residential area away from the rest of the holiday makers.Only a short drive, or taxi,or Neville to the port and town center. There is a beach within walking distance ( as long as you are not carrying too much). Estapona is a beautiful town with much of it unspoilt.It has a wide variety of restaurants many of which are very reasonable (tapas)and tasty. we were a little unfortunate with the weather when we went but Neville provided us with some Dvds to watch on wet days, also there is a TV,radio and Cd player. It doesn't normally rain that much, so tell Neville what your interests are,and he will give you options on how to spend your day. Don't be afraid to ask, because i'm sure he realy enjoys chatting and being helpful. If we return to Estapona, we will certainly think about staying here again. our hopes in catching a lot of sun were fulfilled as well as the conditions we found at the pool app. in villa tranquilla.There was a maximum of conformaton to the announced items whichis not normal. (as a 73 yaers old person ,with a many years of experiance in holdays, ,i am able to valuate this.Also Nevill was always readY to help if necessary.
The Garden area arond the apartments is very proper and due to the large ground , we always found a place in the sun even at end of Nov./beg. Dec.

Es hat uns super gefallen!!! Die anlage ist wunderschön und man hat alles, was man benötigt. Neville und Lynne sind sehr nett und man bekommt sehr wertvolle Tipps von ihnen. Zudem erhält man noch Pooltücher und sogar Wachmittel und Spülmaschinenmittel, so dass man nichts selbst kaufen muss. Estepona ist ein sehr netter Ort und der Strand auch für kleine Kinder geeignet. Insgesamt ein toller aufenthalt!

We had a great stay at Villa Tranquilla!!! The apartment and garden are wonderful and you get great suggestions and advices for the area from Neville and Lynne. They are really nice people. We enjoyed our stay there so much. You have everything you need there, even towels for the pool, washing powder and dishwashing liquid. Estepona is a really nice place and the beach is also great for smaller kids. We had a wonderful stay and can really recommend it! Our son Jonas (5) just loved the pool! It is a very quiet place to relax and you have so many great places to go.

Our Pool apartment was fully equipped, very clean and tastefully decorated.
Cold drinks (water, vine, beer and milk) that you thoughtfully prepared on the day of our arrival was a definitely going an extra mile on your part and was very mush appreciated by us.
Thanks for all your recommendations where to go, what places to see, for your hand written maps that were very helpful especially on the the way to the airport at 5:00 in the morning in complete darkness.
We enjoyed every moment we spent on villa and even not heated pool was pleasantly refreshing.
We would definitely recommend to all our friends as well as might be back again.

Das ist unser 4. Besuch und es wird jedes Mal besser. Lynne und Neville sind perfekte Gastgeber und geben gerne Tipps und Hinweise über die Stadt und das Region. Die aussicht, besonders vom Palm Terrace apartment, sind wunderschön. Garten und Schwimmbad sind auch sehr schön und die Wohnungen sind sehr gut ausgerüstet, sogar mit Grill, Badetücher usw. Alles in allem höchst empfehlenwert!

What more could we say about our stay in Villa Tranquila ?
We spent already 3 years coming to your place, and we are so well there than before leaving we rented for summer 2013.
We found our appartement as clean as always, nothing was missing,and everything is top.
We really appreciate being there, because the comfort is extra, the services are luxuous.
The villa is nearby all important and interesting places to visit and to go, which is really great for us.
The great thing is also that as soon we see something going wrong in the appartement, you come straight to repear. We do appreciate because like that we go on without being annoyed by material problems.
Another great thing is to meet people. During these 3 years we really appreciated all relations we got with the others families being there.
All that wouldn't be posible if you, Lynne and Neville, were not so kind and open to people. We can feel you want us to rest for holiday, not to thing but for fun.

D'abord j'aimerai vous dire le positif.
Vous êtes quelqu'un de très gentille et serviable.
La villa se trouve tout prêt de tout, c.à.d : des magasins, de la ville de Estepona, cela est très facile. Et nous avions toujours eu de la place pour stationer la voiture. Nous avons toujours eu les renseignements qu'il fallait.
Charly le chien est adorable.
Le lit est très bon et les coussins super.
Mais, l'intérieur de la villa nous a pas totalement satisfait.
Au premier aspect l'appartement nous semblait propre mais
quand je marchais avec mes pieds nues sur le sol ils étaient tout noir et sal et cela le premier jour de notre arrivage. J'ai dû nettoyer le sol moi même à l'eau le jour de notre arrivage. L'aire conditioning, les volets, les douches, la finition de l'appartement "La fontaine" était dèjà très usées et n'étaient pas luxueux (pour le prix que nous avons payé on attendait plus). Aussi dans la sal de bain, il fallait une petit table ou armoire en plus pour pouvoir mettre les produits de soins, les brosses etc...
Une télévision moderne dans chaque chambre serait plus facile.
On trouvais les essuis pas très agréables.
Aussi la table à l'extérieur est trop petit pour 4 personnes.
Yl y avait des dalles à l'extérieur qui bougeaient et cela etaient dangereux.
Mais les voisins Luc en anna étaient des gens super sympha et vraiment des gens très bien (d'alleur en prends contact avec eux).
Nous avons bien visiter le Costa del Sol et nous avons bien apris des choses sur l'histoire et le pays du sud de l'Espagne. C'était très intérressant.

I do not understand one thing.........................
In the 10 days that you stayed here, I saw you and spoke with you at least 8 - 10 times. I often asked you if you were enjoying yourselves and if everything was O.K. You never once mentioned any problems at all.
I assumed by this that you were telling the truth. Now, when it is too late to do anything about it, you tell the World of the negatives. Many of your complaints need pointing out so that I can repair things, but you are not here to show me which is unfair on us as well as the next clients. I have asked them to read your review and tell me what criticisms they agree with.
It is like you going to a good restaurant and not eating the food because it was not done to your liking. You would tell anyone who listened what a terrible place it was. Instead, if you had told the owner, he would have had the opportunity to make the food the way you wanted it.
We do have a larger table, but you didn't ever say it was too small. There are around 2,000 exterior tiles. At least give me a clue where the loose one(s) are? How are you such an expert that you know they are "Dangerous" not just that they wobble a bit.
My wife was very upset as your apartment was cleaned 24 hours before you came & was checked by her only a few hours before you arrived.
All towels are in good condition and are tumble dried to prevent hardness.
I could go through each complaint (possibly some of which are justified) but to say the shutters are worn is not enough. I need to be shown.
It would be like complaining about your car rental that "I didn't like the way it drove" This helps no-one!!!

The villa was spotless, and had everything you could think of, a real home from home. The grounds are stunning, so relaxing and peaceful.
The hosts Neville & Lynne were so friendly and helpful,,...and their dog Charlie was a real character who my baby daughter loved!! Whilst staying there, I celebrated my 30th birthday and not only did they help my partner arrange a surprise cake and flowers,...they even bought me a card and lovely present, I was very touched. They went out of their way to please us the entire stay.
I seriously can not fault the place,...highly recommended!!!

As always it is quite stressful arriving in a new unknown place when it's over 40.C but we arrived to find the apartment very well equipped, iced drinks in the fridge, and help on hand when needed, including drawings of personalised maps to get us where we wanted to go! The master bedroom and bathroom in the palm terrace apartment were huge and very comfortable with a fabulous outlook, a desk and wi-fi which we needed. The gas barbecue was great and the outdoor furniture was comfortable and in excellent condition. There were magnificent palm trees in the unusually pretty garden (and orange - delicious, lemon and olive trees), which meant there was shade or sun as required. Normally we eat out at restaurants on holiday but the views of the garden and sea were so lovely and the supermarkets packed with such fantastic fish that we barbecued supper at the villa more often than we went out, and we enjoyed using the good sized pool and provided inflatables far more than we might normally do.
There was a large supermarket (with great gambas) in walking distance which was also very useful if you don't want to get in the car.
The owners were always helpful and responded immediately to requests, which made everything much easier. The apartment was very well equipped, meaning there was nothing extra we had to pack even down to washing detergent and ample clothes pegs.
It was an easy place to stay. We took my 89 year old father and he was able to walk to the beach from the apartment. I would thoroughly recommend this for any one wanting to find a quiet and comfortable place to stay to explore this part of Spain and Gibraltar. I would recommend buying a good road map of the area before you go. -

A truely wonderful holiday in an apartment that ticked all the boxes. We really couldn't have asked for more. Pre holiday we were provided with every bit of information necessary and included the booking of our rental vehicle . Our party included our two children (8 yrs and 11 yrs) and the villa and location suited our holiday requirement 100 % The villa was furnished to a high standard and the cleanliness was outstanding ( the best we have ever experienced in any holiday accomodation) This was really home from home and even when the children missed our dogs Chesture the resident owners dog provided cuddles when required. The location was perfect for days out and lazy days at the beach but best of all the villa was set in wonderful gardens and with a lovely pool and sun terrace so on some days we didn't move at all !!
We are planning our next years holiday here and can't recommend enough to both families and couples as it really does have it all ! -

We have recently returned home to Canada after a wonderful weeks stay at Estepona, Villa Tranquilla. It was one of our best holidays ever. Villa Tranquilla was everything that the website promised and more. We have stayed at many villas and apartments throughout Europe, but the best thus far has been Villa Tranquilla, for quality, price, and location combined.
The villa itself was a great size to suit our family (boys ages 15 and 12), it was very clean, the property was gorgeous and the views absolutely breathtaking. The hosts greet you with a welcome bottle of Cava as well as a few immediate grocery items that you will need: milk, OJ, water, salt, pepper, a bit of sugar, some coffee and some tea! Wow, we were all set from there. Unlike other facilities that are bare, this was a pleasant and welcome treat. The rest of the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need to create a breakfast lunch or dinner at home, including a BBQ. Having the boys swim in the pool while we Bbq'd some dinner was great after a long day at the beach or touring.
The best beaches are a short drive away. Neville was very helpful in giving us directions, a hand drawn map and advice on parking if needed. It was so quiet on the property that we were often unsure if he and Lynn were home, but they were always around if we went looking for advice or a recommendation. They also had some great restaurant advice for the area, and can get you a little discount as well, if booked through them! They also have a large library of movies to borrow. This was very handy for the kids! All in all, this was a most wonderful holiday for our family.
Our only difficulty was finding the villa as we needed a more accurate address for the GPS. However, we called and emailed Lynn and Neville while on the road, and they were able to guide us from the port of Estepona.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an oasis on the Costa Del Sol.

Hosts Neville & Lynne Stock provided a warm, hospitable venue for a week-long stay in Estepona. The site facilities for our unit were superb, featuring a fully furnished apartment overlooking a scrupulously maintained pool. Laundry facilities are available in the adjacent garage.
The kitchen comes supplied with a welcoming bottle of sparkling wine, condiments, and a full set of dishes, glassware and cooking utensils. Amenities include TV, VCR and DVD. All rooms have Casablanca-style fans.
Neville is personally attentive to visitor needs and provides abundant help, including a sketch map of main landmarks to orient the visitor. Cleverly, he refers to the villa as the "Extra Mile" place, and it is an apt description. He has compiled a personalized binder of suggested activities, including walking tours of Estepona and car trips to nearby villages. We followed his local suggestions and were well rewarded for the effort. A visit to the "white towns” of the region is a must, especially Casares, Ronda and Castellar de la Frontera. The mostly public beaches are easily accessible by car, with surface free and underground paid parking.
Views from the villa patios and yard are breathtaking, and the balmy weather, coupled with a high-latitude sun, encourages a good deal of outdoor relaxation until very late in the evening. We encountered only two minor issues. We found the outdoor sconce lighting too weak for reading, which we addressed by using an extension cord to move a floor lamp outside. We assumed there would be a dependable WiFi connection. The network exists, but our 5 devices (Nooks, BlackBerries & Apple phones and tablets) could not connect..
The pleasure of our first visit to Spain was materially enhanced by our stay at the villa, and has given us a new perspective on the possibility - and desirability - of returning to Spain permanently.

We stayed in the Palm Terrace apartment for one week in May. It was an absolutely great experience.
We usually choose self-catering apartments for our vacation. Even though we always carefully select the place to stay, checking other guests' reviews before, quite often the reality is different from what the owners advertise. Villa Tranquilla is a not like that. We have never seen a vacation apartment that would be so well-equipped (as an example: you open a cupboard and find 5 different sets of just glasses, 6 pieces each :-) and so clean (we needed to move sofas in the bedroom to secure our daughter's bed and guess what - there was no single spot even _behind_ the sofas :-). The whole property (the villa and the garden around) is very spacious, nicely decorated and well maintained.
Now about the hosts, Neville and Lynne. They respect you privacy in the apartment, sometimes you even wonder if they are in the house or not. At the same time, whenever you need a piece of advice or just want to talk, they welcome you with a smile and always have time for you. And it's really nice to talk to you, Neville and Lynne!
Also, Estepona is a good choice for your vacation, unless you need lots of entertainment and night life. Even though Estepona is not really a small village and is a popular holiday destination, they somehow managed to keep it quiet and nice, without overwhelming blocks of apartments. The location makes it a good base for trips to many beautiful places around.
We highly recommend the villa. In fact, they will be perhaps the first place to break our rule to not go for vacation to the same place again... -

Lynne and Neville fulfilled a dream in buying and developing Villa Tranquilla which, these days is very rare. Very well done indeed you two. When we arrived our Fountain Villa was spotlessly clean and they had provided us with the basics in food and wine to get us started. The lawns and gardens are beautiful, the view overlooking the Med is spectacular, and it is quiet - muy tranquil! Best of all were the owners who were very attentive to our needs and provided us with all sorts of good information to make our stay with them memorable. By far one our best vacations.

Everything about this villa was outstanding.
Neville and Lynne will go out of their way to help you to enjoy your trip and simplify things for you. Don't be afraid to ask for help; they enjoy making their guest's vacation the best.
The view is spectacular from every direction. They have patios with outdoor private tables and chairs, barbeques, heated pool, and a small hilltop with a seating area that is unlike any. Their gardens are just as manicured as each Villa apartment. Everything you will need in the apartment is there for you in perfect order. There is even a 3" binder "typed" filled with tourist suggestions and videos available.
We were delighted to have a "starter" supply waiting for us with coffee, filters, milk, and juice.
These owners really go the extra mile to make your stay in Estepona wonderful. As for Estepona, I would go back in a heartbeat with fine restaurants, craft markets, winding streets, beaches, and a fishing village filled with boats. Neville's recommendations for restaurants were outstanding.

We have just returned from a fantastic week in this wonderful villa We were very impressed with the standard of accommodation - spacious and attractively decorated. The gardens are beautiful, with a great view of the sea. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We had a warm welcome from Neville and Lynne, there were even some drinks in the fridge. The home has everything you need, you really feel like home. Our sunbeds were standing ready on the terrace and we used them a lot. It's a pleasure to stay in the beautiful garden where you can hear the birds singing (and sometimes a barking dog!).

This was our first trip to Costa del Sol and we chose Villa Tranquilla due to the description and photos and because of its central location. The Pool apt. exceeded our expectations for size, comfort, and, yes, location. The Villa is aptly named; it's quiet, secluded, and beautiful. The property is a showpiece for Mediterrean gardens. We could have stayed there all week and had an amazingly wonderful relaxing time. However, during our week, we visited several white villages, spent a day in Gibraltar and another in Tangier, and one leisurely day in Estepona's port and old town. After a long day of driving and sightseeing, it was a treat to come "home" to our spacious Pool apt., a terrific bed, and a well-stocked frig.
I can't say enough about the gracious, knowledgeable, and always helpful Neville. He provided detailed, accurate directions when we needed them, and supplied us with a plethora of information about everything from a hike from village to village in the mountains to an impressive list of Dvds for our use on a rainy day (which we never encountered). Everything about the villa is excellent with the quality and amount of cutlery,pots,glasses all of good quality. Everything you would need down to selection of cottons for emergency repairs to a large umbrella in rare case of rain which incidentally we never had ,weather was glorious deep blue skies and warm sun during the day. It was cold at night but we had heaters so it was a case of shut the door switch on the heater, dine in and wine! We ate out several times during the day one place was especially good it was in Puerto Duchesa it is called Ciao in one of the little plazas Plaze fuerte I think . We also visited Castillo of Castellar and a lot of the small mountain villages which were very pretty ,clean full of character, we never made it to Gibraltar but that was because we kept forgetting to take passports out with us .
We also had the pool heated for us which was well worth it really enjoyed
swimming in there and the gardens even in February were beautifully kept and
very relaxing, stunning views of the sea , the outdoor furniture was of good
quality too no cheap plastic chairs etc.
Last but definitely not least our hosts Neville and Lynne were great, helpful ,friendly and all the information about the area, places to eat and directions
From Malaga airport were spot on. It's the very best self catering place we have stayed in and we usually go self catering for our holidays . Would stay thre again for sure. -

We had a great time in villa Tranquilla. The owners, Neville and Lynne are extremely helpful and very friendly.(Neville has a great sense of humour too).
We were welcomed with beautiful flowers and a bottle of Cava. We got terribly lost at our way from the airport, so Neville had to come and rescue us. Although we planned to do a lot of sightseeing, we enjoyed the appartment (and the weather ) so much that we finally spent most of our time at home and in the wonderful garden.
It was only a 5 minutes drive to the pretty port of Estepona, the boulevard along the beach is about 3 km long, we loved to walk all the way and back and then have tapa's.
What an experience to open the french doors in the morning and to step outside into that gorgeous garden and enjoy breakfast while looking at the blue mediterraneum.

We had a lovely ( trouble-free ) vacation in Estepona. Arrangements made by Neville were perfect. And information received before our arrival was accurate and very helpful.
Villa Tranquilla is a lovely place with an amazing view and landscape, it is also like its name tells you, very quiet. Lynne and Neville are wonderful people, very discret but always there if you need anything. Neville is particularly gifted and very efficient in drawing maps and giving directions.
The location of the villa in the town of Estepona is perfect. Estepona is a nice town and its location is also perfect if you want to visit. We visited many places ( Gibraltar, Ronda, Marbella, etc) while we were there and Estepona was the perfect "base" to travel from.
We have been recommending the location to many of our friends, family members and colleagues.
Like previously mentioned we had, at the Villa Tranquilla, the best vacation in many years. Thanks to our wonderful hosts Lynne and Neville. Like they keep mentioning, you come to the villa as guests but you leave as friends...totally accurate statement.

We are a young family of three (one baby a year old) and stayed at this very pleasant place for 10 days. The weather was perfect, the owners very kind and the area has lots to offer. The appartment proved to be suited well for babies as well as we thought. We were also able to make some lovely day trips to a few of the many places around worth a visit.
All in all, an excellent holiday for us as a family and a perfect way to extend the days of summer! -

This apartment is away from the crowded part of the Costa del Sol. It is always exciting to get a warm welcome when you arrive at a place and the opportunity to ask a few questions so that you can make the most of your holiday time. Things were in good working order in the apartment and the bed was really comfortable. The well maintained garden and pool were also big pluses.
Neville was a big help providing directions a couple of times. One of the highlights of our trip was visiting a restaurant suggested by Neville. It is mostly frequented by Spanish locals. Neville pre-ordered the most delicious big dish of paella for us, saving us the phone call.
We had a really good time in and around Estepona. We found some good buys in the local market. -

Neville picked us up from the airport, big smile, very welcoming and on the way to the villa,he chatted about where we could go for days out, advised us of great places to eat. Upon arrival to villa Tranquilla it was such a pleasant Suprise to walk into our accomodation and find it,... Well, perfect!!! It was immaculate, we had a welcome pack of goodies and Neville had also given us the opportunity getting some extra grocery's ETC in, which I took advantage of! Fabulous!! so when we woke the first morning we had everything we needed, we could just relax totally, enjoy the beautiful gardens/sunshine/and warm pool. We did venture out on the first evening, into old Estepona, which Neville kindly dropped us in, in his car. We wandered around this beautiful old town,( felt very safe,) and went to the argentinian restaurant that Neville and Lynne recommended, it was a lovely meal, and the family run restaurant they were very friendly. The next day we took the bus (2.77euros Each- which is so cheap) to Puerto Banus, we went with a lovely american couple that were in the villa next to us, we had a great day, and took the boat over to Marbella. We again took Neville and Lynne's advice and found yet another great place to eat in the Centre surrounded by orange trees, pretty setting and lots of places to choose from to eat and shop. The locals were very friendly. We didn't go to that many places this trip, as we went to totally unwind, sit by the pool and relax, we will venture out further next time, but this holiday we got what we both needed!!! Batteries re charged, thanks to Neville & Lynnes "little bit of paradise" . We cant wait to get back and we will be Re-booking very soon.

Villa Tranquilla was an amazing place to stay. We absolutely loved everything about it and it well exceeded our expectations. The Pool apartment was spacious and had everything we needed - even pool towels and the pool was fantastic.
Neville and Lynne really made our stay special - they were so helpful with places to visit and eat and how to get around - it was a truly wonderful experience. They made us feel very welcome and at home.
The area around the villa is fantastic as well. There are lots of places to see that are within an hour or two away and of course there is Estepona itself. We had a lot of fun checking out the surrounding area.

We had a fantastic holiday thanks to a superb residence Villa Tranquilla. Excellent care both within and outside the house with a very friendly and helpful hosts, Lynn and Neville.
The apartment is fully equipped and offers all possibilities to feel yourself right at home. The swimmingpool is large enough for a nice swim and it's been every day well maintained.
Then when the region still have much to offer with a central location of Estepona this was for us a vacation we will not soon forget. If it is up to us then we also like to go back.

The service received by Neville & Lynne (the owners) at Villa Tranquilla was second to none. I was a bit concerned at first about the owners living on site, but after meeting them was so glad that they did. We stayed in the Palm Terrace apartment which was excellent and the fact that I was given the option of single or double bed for my young son was amazing, especially as one of my concerns was him falling out onto a solid floor. Everything we needed was there, even hairdryers in the bathroom & Tea & Coffee in the kitchen, so you could have a cuppa before going to the supermarket. The location was great. far enough out that it was peaceful, yet close enough that if you didnt have a car (we did) you could walk to shop for essentials, walk to 2 very good restaurants or taxi into town without breaking the bank.
The grounds and the pool were lovely and it was great knowing that my 6year old could run around safely.
I would definately recommend V.T and have already pencilled in my dates for next year.
A huge thank you to Nev & Lynne and we will see you very soon.

This was our first holiday booked directly with a villa owner and we were a little nervous. We had no need to be!
Throughout the booking Neville and Lynne provided a lot of helpful information including brilliant directions to the villa.
The Fountain apartment at Villa Tranquilla was lovely exactly as described on the web site and the gardens, pool area and views over the coast were beautiful.
Neville and Lynne go to a lot of trouble to ensure that the apartments are well prepared and a welcome pack including a bottle of bubbly is most welcome after your journey.
We chose this apartment as we were looking for somewhere in mid august that would allow us the opportunity to have a holiday in relaxing surroundings. Villa Tranquilla was perfect. We spent a lot of time enjoying the lovely pool and gardens. The pool and sunshades were especially welcome as the weather was so hot and sunny.
We hired a car to drive to the villa and we did find this really useful during our stay to enable us to get into Estepona port and town area and to visit Gibraltar and really make the most of the holiday. We would really recommend the boat trips to see the dolphins in the Bay of Gibraltar as this was one of the highlights of our holiday.
As hosts Neville and Lynne were great. They provided a file with a wealth of information on everything you could think of. They were on hand if you needed them and were always willing to offer advice on anything to enable us to get the most out of your holiday.

If you are looking for somewhere to escape and relax this is the place! Breathtaking views to wake to, good location and the pool to ourselves most days. Neville and Lynn are the perfect hosts and provided us with all the information we needed. We spent many a night in Estepona old town soaking up the surroundings and the tapas! It only took an hour by car to visit Rhonda and just a 5 minute drive to the beach. The only negative - one week was not long enough!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Tranquilla. We stayed together with an other family and together we had the two ground floor apartments by the pool. That was an excellent set-up as we could easily have joint meals etc, and the garden and pool worked well with the children. The icing on the cake is the personal service from the hosts Lynn and Neville. They really do whatever they can for you to have the best possible time. From an otherwise perfect score, I have deducted a point for lack of air condition (we had normal temperatures and it was not a problem for us though) and distance from Estepona centre (car required, but two very nice restaurants nearby and very quiet). All in all, we had a great stay, and I can very much recommend the place.

We were very happy with Villa Tranquilla. We had one bedroom apartment just next to the pool. Perfect for both parents and kids. Our stay was not too hot, and we had breeze (which was typical for Estepona) the whole week. Neville, the landlord was very friendly and helpful. Should ask him for advice whatever you do in this area. Do not forget your passport when visiting Gibraltar.

We stayed at Villa Tranquilla from June 20 to July 4 2011. Perfect timing before the European vacations and perfect location to explore Ronda, Gibraltar, Tarifa, Malaga and even Granada. We truly enjoyed the pool (we only went to the beach once!) and the quiet gardens. Neville and Lynne, the owners were very useful in providing information on restaurants, tips on attractions, park and walk to Gibraltar, etc. while always respecting our privacy. Awesome stay.

Our accommodation was excellent(home from home/5 star)and we liked the little touches such as basic foods being laid on for us when we arrived.
Neville and Lynn were brilliant hosts and could not do enough for us.
A small bit noisy at times but this I think was just bad timing on our part as the site next door was being cleaned and this was probably a one off.
You definitely need a car as all facilities are not within walking distance. Could have had air-con especially for the hotter periods and I was disappointed we had to leave by 10 on our departure day as we had a late flight.
The resort of Estopna was nice and it is a great base to visit Gibraltar, Marbella, etc
We look forward to returning sometime as it was very relaxing and ejoyable. -

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Pool apartment at Villa Tranquilla for one week in april. We managed to pick a very rainy week to stay in Estepona but the apartment saved the holiday! The undercover BBQ, heated pool and tv kept us entertained in the rain. Neville and Lynn were fabulous; they were unbelievably helpful and were always there for any queries. The apartment was spotless when we arrived and there was some essential supplies ready for our arrival (tea, coffee, milk & bubbly!) We couldn't have asked for a better apartment. Opvarmet pool, park-have og udsigt over middelhavet og en lejlighed, der er luksus og totalt stilfuld og med atmosfære.
Kan man ønske sig mere? Vi kunne i hvert tilfælde ikke, og den fantastiske service, som man får fra engelske Neville og Lynn er helt utrolig. Altid tid til en snak om seværdigheder og altid hjælpsomme - og så trænger de sig aldrig på.
Selv en flaske champagne og andre lækkerier står på køl, når man ankommer, så man virkelig føler sig velkommen.
Man kan lynhurtigt gå til den nærmeste strand (10 minutter max) og nærmeste supermarked ligger i samme afstand.
Vi brugte mest turen som udgangspunkt for at udforske Costa Del Sol, men grundlæggende endte vi med at blive i haven og hygge, grille og bade halvdelen af tiden. Hvorfor ikke udnytte det, når man bor så fantastisk et sted?
Jeg har egentlig svært ved at forestille mig, at man kan få det meget bedre. Uanset dit ønske vil de hjælpe dig på vej uden at bede om penge for ulejligheden, fordi de er typer, der elsker at give service med et smil. -

Having read rave reviews from other travellers concerning the Villa Tranquilla before our departure from Canada, our expectations were high and Neville and Lynne fully lived up to their reputation as gracious hosts. During our stay we were treated as friends rather than clients. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of champagne and Neville even picked up our take-away fish and chips from a nearby restaurant.
The apartment is spacious, clean, airy and fully equipped. Set on a hill in a garden setting, it provides views of the Mediterranean. It is a great location for day trips to Gibraltar, Ronda, Marbella, etc, or simply to relax and enjoy.
Neville and Lynne provided information on restaurants, places to visit and other helpful tips that made our stay on the Costa del Sol more enjoyable. Hospitality at its best - one could hardly ask for more.

My family stayed at Villa Tranquilla in the summer of 2008. Neville and Lynn , the proprietors, live on the property, and they proved to be a great resource in helping us get the most out of our one-week stay in Estepona. They helped us with restaurant recommendations, shopping tips, and good advice regarding day trips to various destinations in Andalusia. They are wonderful, outgoing people and they made us feel very much at home.
We were very comfortable in the Villa itself. The kitchen was well-equipped and allowed us to cook most of our dinners at home very conveniently. The grounds were beautifully landscaped, displaying the color and variety of the Andalusian flora at every turn. The views of the Mediterranean, of the Moroccan coast, and of Gibraltar were beautiful and inspiring.
The pool in particular was a huge hit with our kids. They spent a good portion of every day and evening in the pool, which is sizable and very well maintained. My six year old daughter, as a matter of fact, learned to swim on her own in the Villa Tranquilla pool. My kids loved the pool and it proved a wonderful enhancement to our family vacation. A worn-out kid is a good, compliant, happy kid.
I would spend another vacation at Villa Tranquilla without hesitation and highly recommend it if you are considering a “self-catered” vacation stay in Southern Spain -

We can't say enough good things about Villa Tranquilla. Neville had champagne awaiting us on our arrival and the kitchen frig completely stocked. He gave us recommendations on places to go and hikes to take. Plenty of movies to borrow if we didn't feel like venturing out at night and also wine for us to purchase from him. It was just so relaxing here with a wonderful pool area and delightful cooking out on our grill and viewing the Mediterranean. If we return to this area we will most definetely stay with Lynn and Neville in their beautiful villas. They couldn't have been better hosts.

We have stayed in Villa Tranquilla on ther recommendation of a friend who has stayed there nunmerous times. In fact we haved now stayed there twice despite rarely visiing the same place twice.
Our return visit was due to Neville and Lynne's hospitality and their hard work in providing top quality well apponted apartments in well tended large gardens with views of the Med and Gibralter. The Villa Tranquilla is aptly named being peaceful and relaxing. There is plenty of room for sun beds and the pool is great for cooling off on hot days which are plentiful.
There were restaurants within walking distance so if we didn't want to drive, that was a bonus. You need a car at this property to explore the area and it was easy to park right outside in a quiet road.

How can I say? I've spent a really good time at Villa Tranquilla, in that so beautiful fully equipped apartment facing over the pool.
The first thing that I would like to underline is the kindness of the owner (and his family) that became immediately a friend (with his sympathy and his precious suggestions about all the nearby beauties).
Simply unique the panorama from the beautiful garden (during the limpid days you can clearly see the african coast in front you!!!) and almost maniacal the cleanliness of the apartments.
So... what are you waiting for??? Hurry up, go there, try by your own and let me know!

We first stayed with Lynne and Neville in February 2006 together with our daughter and her partner. We stayed in the jewel of the apartments - the Palm apartment. We were so impressed that we returned later that year as part of our main holiday and stayed in the Pool apartment. In May of 2007 we attended a family wedding in Gibraltar so took the opportunity to stay again, this time with Paul's Mum in the Fountain apartment. This means that we have stayed in all of the apartments and can really say that the high standard is maintained throughout. The Villa is wonderful as is the welcome and the facilities. To get a taste of the effort Lynne and Neville make - look at their website and just look at all the additional information that is offered. Idealy situated in a peaceful location but with all the facilities of Estepona a short drive away.we have come via Malaga, Gibraltar and Seville. The trip to Rhonda was memorable but is not one for the more nervous traveller. The only negative we can offer is that it is against these standards that we have judged all subsequent holidays. Lynne and Neville have set the bar really high and this has yet to be matched elsewhere. We are looking at the possibility of returning with more family in 2011, if we can get everyones diaries to match. The price is a little more than some but the little extra is worth it.

Stayed in Palm Terrace for 2.5 weeks. Everything was just perfect. Very very clean and specious apartment, fully equipped with everything that is needed . Neville has gone very far to provide our stay enjoyable.
Recommend this place for anybody that is looking for a nice home away from home for a relaxing, quiet and unforgettable experience.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Villa Tranquilla. Neville and Lynne are excellent hosts - as someone once said, you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. The location is ideal for excursions along the coast into the hills and their picturesque pueblos blancos. But it's also very easy to spend an extremely pleasant day just lazing around at the Villa Tranquilla with its spectacular views, garden and pool. The wifi is good if, like us, you are able to telework although the signal strength tends to vary and is strongest in the garage: not a complaint, just an observation!

This was our 3rd time back, a wonderful place, we stayed in the Pool apartment which is very spacous and the decor of high standard, the apartment has everything you could possibly need, There are 3 apartments that share a pool so a good place to go with friends or family and still have your own privacy. We enjoyed the great hospitality of Neville (his wife was on vacation). He really cares and tries to make your holidays a perfect time. He even acts as a baby-sitter - our kids loved him.
There is plenty of information available, with lots of tips about the area, restaurants, beaches - so you just can start and try everything.
The appartment is nicely furnished and well equiped. Nothing is missing - even for a family: Microwave, enough kitchen ware, knifes, Iron, washing machine... Everything is well maintained and replaced if broken. There are also some beach toys available which was perfect for our kids.
I also enjoyed not to buy any soap, washing-up liquid, garbage bags, salt, pepper, etc. Everything was there.
The location is great - quiet, superbe view on the sea, safe.
We and especially our kids enjoyed the garden, pool and also Neville's dogs and birds.
The only thing we missed was a larger table on the terrasse for all four of us, the current one was a little tiny. And unfortunately, there is only a door to the adjacent appartment. We had early bird neighbours - so we heard them taking breakfast almost every morning at around 7am.

Had a wonderful, comfortable stay in the Palm Terrace apartment. Two lovely bedrooms and a huge master bathroom.Kitchen is small but it has everything you need. Who wants to cook on holiday anyway - but perfect for preparing breakfast and lunch? We used the 6' bed in the second bedroom as that is what we are used to rather than the smaller master bedroom bed.But then we used the huge marble bathroom off the main bedroom. Views are gorgeous and it felt amazing to be so close to the sea but on the other side of the main road. You don't hear any traffic as it is well placed further up the hill and is a very secluded position. Still an easy walk down the road, crossing over the main road on a raised pedestrian walkway and down to the sea - we are missing those morning walks!

We recommend to anybody who wants to relax, tan and buy some great wines from hosts(Thanks Neville, great choice!). Don't hesitate, just go! The restaurant "La Menorah" recommended by Neville was worth every penny. We also recommend "Rosatti" italian restaurant in the harbour.

Nev & Lynne are your perfect hosts, just around enough to make sure you're OK, loads of suggestions (places to visit etc) + advice, but also discretely "out of the way".
Location is perfect with 2 restaurants in 5 min walking distance + a small Tesco-like supermarket is only 3min by car. Estepona is but a 10 min drive, the port (loads there) 5 mins. You really need a car though as there're loads of places to pop off and see.
Recommend the safari park + Gibraltar is only 30 mins away.
Of the 2 local restaurants, "Swings" is excellent, around E20 per head incl drinks + owner antonio a laugh. Other one (can't remember name) is pretty expensive (went once, ouch!).
We stayed in the Palm Terrace suite. Exquisitely clean. Spacious, cool (in aug is rather welcome!), quiet and private. Pool is 20 seconds away.
If you're after a quiet antithesis to the busy/large package holiday, this is it. Make your own itinery, at your own pace. We had a lovely time, thanks Nev & Lynne -

Lynn und Neville waren zu uns wie gute Freunde, immer bereit zu helfen, gaben gute Ratschläge für Ausflüge in die Umgebung, Restaurants, Einkaufen etc.. Villa, Wohneinheit, Terrasse, Gelände, Swimming-Pool waren sehr gepflegt und wohnlich, schöne Aussicht aufs Meer, ruhig, ein Ort zur Entspannung. Meer und Strand waren zu Fuß zu erreichen, wir sind aber meistens an andere schöne Strände in der Umgebung gefahren. Schöne Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung u.a. nach Casares, Gaucin, Ronda !!! oder auch Tarifa rundeten diesen schönen Urlaub ab. Einen tollen Abend hatten wir in Estepona beim Endspiel zur Fußballweltmeisterschaft, aber das kommt ja nicht so oft vor. Nochmals vielen Dank an Lynn und Neville und unsere lieben Freunde Marlies und Rainer für diesen tollen Urlaub

Villa Tranquilla is a lovely villa in a quiet spot handy for Estepona. There are 3 apartments and we stayed in the most spacious - Palm Terrace. Loads of space and very nicely furnished. Extras like tea and coffee, milk and a bottle of cava were much appreciated. Shared pool with comfortable loungers - no fighting for a space here! Beautiful gardens to look at and sit in but you have your own private terrace with BBQ and outside dining area also. The resident owners are delightful and full of local knowledge with suggestions on restaurants and trips out and about and where to shop etc. They were always on hand if we wanted but we felt also that the apartment was private and ours for the week. Definately worth a visit, whether with family - little ones and teenagers both will be happy, or alone or as a couple. Will be recommending to friends and family.

We had a great time in Villa Tranquilla, spending 9 days there, after a 12 days round-trip in andalucia. It was a relaxing, green oasis; perfect for us after spending 12 days in places like Granada, Seville, Cordoba and Ronda. The hosts were very helpful, and did their best to ensure we had a nice stay. The garden with the pool was great.

This was our second visit but our first holiday without the kids and we could not think of a better place for it. Our apartment (Palm Terrace) was spacious, spotless and a real home from home. The villa is set within lovely gardens and there are stunning views. Lynne and Nev are the perfect hosts and do all they can to make your stay there relaxing and enjoyable but some how also manage to stay invisible! If you need to know the best places to visit, eat etc just ask them they are a mine of information. Restaurants we recommend are Robbies, Playa Bella and La Menorah. Cannot recommend this place highly enough if you are looking at getting away from it all.

A fabulous location - well situated in the Costa del Sol, which offers the possibility of limitless interesting day trips, if enjoying the beautiful pool and surrounding property is not enough! Lynne and Neville are beyond helpful when it comes to information on all of the local services etc. We were thrilled with our choice of lodgings and would highly recommend Villa Tranquilla for couples looking to escape, or families looking for a more personal location than a "big box hotel" to enjoy their holiday in.

My family had the pleasure of spending almost 5 weeks in the Fountain Apartment of the Villa Tranquilla during April and may 2010.
This was my paternal leave, with our 12 months old son, and the Villa Tranquilla proved to be a fantastic place for him to learn to walk, play in the pool, watch the birds in the garden, visit the owners' (Neville and Lynne) dogs, and not least play around with Neville.
We felt very well received and taken care of -- Neville and Lynne happily helped us with everything from repairing our baby stroller, helping us find our way around town, arranging a baby sitter, driving us, etc etc. The list goes on.
It was clear from the start that Neville and Lynne loves people and loves running their hospitable Villa with everything it entails. They got us started on a friendly tone from the very first email, and never made us hesitate if we had questions or needed help.
The Villa itself lies west of the city centre. It has a great garden with a pool and a great seaside view. For parents this was great, as we could enjoy great outside meals after our son had gone to bed. The garden and terrasse realy helped prolong the days for us parents -- compared to some apartment in the city centre, this was a much better solution for us.
It's possible to walk in to the city centre, but we had a rental car and often chose to drive in instead. If you're a family with kids, having a car is helpful both for shopping and getting around. Estepona is the kind of place where you drive to the "hipermart" to do shopping - gigantic supermarkets that stock all kinds of food and beverages.
From the villa, we also had a great starting point for exploring all the pitoresque White Villages around Estepona, and all the great cities along the coast.
We chose the Fountain Apartment because we wanted a separate bedroom for our son, so he'd sleep well. The Villa was a godsend for us in this respect. It's quiet, and the cool, dark bedrooms had our son sleeping 12 hour nights. -

Neville & Lynne Stock were extremely helpful during our stay and the welcome pack went down very well. The apartment had all the comforts of home, was easy to find and had excellent coastal views. You could easily stay by the pool all day but the imediate surroundings are well worth checking out. We toured Granada, Cordoba and Seville before staying a week in the apartment but other travellers may find staying here an easier option to visit these wonderful places from.

The apartment was extremely well kept.
The rooms were very spacious, there is a terrace off of both the Kitchen/dining and the masterbedroom.
the grounds around the apartment were again very spacious with a viewing area overlooking the sea.
I located the apartment quite easily even though i arrived there in the dark evening.
the area is a very quiet area with no passing traffic.
there are a number of beaches quite near the apartment.

I fancied a villa holiday that was home from home. Unfortunately as there was only the 2 of us you end up been limited to tiny apartments. Then i stumbled on Villa Tranquilla, perfect! A large family villa (but with our own little apartment) with grounds & a decent size pool.The feeling of a large family home...just what i wanted.
The apartment itself (the pool apartment)was a very good size. It had everything & more that you needed for a weeks holiday. The little touches that make a difference such as tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, water,milk, wine! Enough washing up liquid, toilet rolls, dish clothes, these are all the bits you hate having to buy when you arrive. It was very well equipped for self catering, including bbq bits. The week previously I'd stayed in a very expensive apartment in Puerta banus which didn't even have a cork screw!!!
The apartment itself was spotless.
Neville & Lynne were great hosts and were very informative about the surrounding area, although i felt their efforts were wasted on us as all we wanted to do was "catch our breath" & relax and thanks to the beautiful villa they provide we were able to do this without really venturing out! You could even walk to the bottom of the road & have fabulous food in La Menora(i think it's called)& feel like you'd been somewhere special.
A great place to completely relax and still have all other amenities on your doorstep should you want them. -

The villa lays in a quiet urbanisation, just 2 km from Estepona. The pool apartment in which we stayed was very spacious, nice living and a big bedroom. In the apartment was all you needed available and otherwise you just had to ask Neville or Lynne and they provide you. The apartment was also very clean. The view from the apartment is very beautiful, you look at the 'mediterranee' and when the weather is clear you can see Maroc. In the apartment is also information for places to visit, a list with recommended restaurants, etc.. We cann't say that we missed something, it was very complete!

We have just returned from a weeks break in Estepona, where we stayed at the Villa Tranquilla.
It would be to right to say that there was everything we could have wanted to make our holiday so comfortable.
It was spotless and so relaxing. We didnt have a car so we did a fair bit of walking, but Neville the owner was so kind in letting us know when he was going into town, bus station and the nearest supermarket so we could get or lift/or picking us up food.
Lynne was also lovely and friendly. We visited friends and needed a overnight case, so she kindly lent us hers.
We came back feeling so relaxed and unfortunately back to the rain!

The villa is on the outskirts of Estepona which is a lovely town with a pretty promenade along the sea front.
It made such a change for accommodation to be exactly as described, there were no disappointments. The accommodation was absolutely spotless & extremely well laid out so that all parties have their own privacy when there is more than one party in the villa.
Lynne & Neville are perfect hosts and go above and beyond to help in any way possible - demonstrating the "extra mile". They are also very knowledgable regarding the local area & day trips to surrounding regions.

My wife & I had an excellent time in Estepona. Once you witness the calm relaxing atmosphere you will see the Villa is aptly named Tranquilla. Lynne & Neville were the perfect hosts, whilst always willing to help with our holiday in any way yet some how managed to remain invisible. Superb spotless accomadation where you will find everything you have at home & more. Down in the Port we found that all the nice Paella, Tapas & Sangria on offer in the very Spanish Tabernas & numerous bars & restaurants made you feel like you were actually in Spain & not like the usual touristy places. We both felt we made an excellent choice & really can?t wait to return. Oh by the way did I mention it was almost 40 degrees everyday & that was in September!!!

The Villa Tranquilla more than lived up to its reputation on Trip advisor and gave us everthing we had hoped for. It was a really peaceful week which was exactly what we wanted.
The setting of the villa is lovely, the gardens are well kept, the villa itself is well maintained and the layout of the appartments within the villa has been very well thought through.
We stayed in the Fountain appartment which was lovely, spacious and well equiped, it had direct access to the pool and had two separate private terraces.
We did have an opportunity to look at the other appartments in the Villa and would quite happily stay at any of them. The ability to change the configuration of the appartments to cater for different size groups was facinating and showed the "extra mile" that Neville and Lynne have gone to.
They are very good hosts and it was nice to know that they were on site should you need anything. Offers of lifts into town or asking if we needed anything from the shops was a really nice touch. The information we received before hand was excellent, we arranged for Neville to pick us up from the airport and by the time we got to the appartment all our pre order shopping had been put away. Again a lovely touch which meant we could start our much needed holiday straight away.
A gem of a find and one we will be returning to. -

The villa was extremely well equipped and had everything needed for a relaxing self-catering stay.
Excellent views and great pool and grounds, as well as very welcoming owners who were a mine of local information and worked very hard to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

Estepona is a nice town with harbour and not to many tourists. Lots to do in the neighbourhood. Rich and famous in 20 min. at Puerto Benus.

We liked our fountain appartment very much, it was clean when we arrived and we got a nice warm welcome from the owners (and champagne in the fridge and other beverages to start with). The villa is big and beatifull. We spend two nice weeks in villa tranquilla and also our young girls (5 years) had the time of their lives. We enjoyed the swimming pool.
The viewing from our terrace over the ocean was terrific the whole day (also the garden is very nice to look at, although the sprinkels had a hard time to keep up the sun). It was releaxed, we loved to see and talk with Neville in the morning when he cleaned the pool and we laughed wenn Lynn called hem to do his other work (sorry Lynn..we know you do the back of the house). Wenn I broke the door of the washing machine they didn't make a fuss about it (thank you for that).
The book with the tips and tops of the area was great. But you need a car.
We will come back for sure! Sorry if my english is here and there not correct, we are from Holland. And the next sentence I can only write in duth:

Besonders hervorheben wollen wir die Herzlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft (was z.B. Tipps angeht: Essensm?glichkeiten, Ausfl?ge, ...) der Gastgeber. Schon nach kurzer Zeit f?hrte dies zu einem freundschaftlichen und herzlichen Verh?ltnis, als ob wir die beiden schon jahrelang kennen w?rden. Exceptional detailed service and certainly exceeded our expectations.
The accommodations were very clean and more than adequate. The location

Upon my arrival I was greeted warmly by my hosts, Neville & Lynne, who
gave me a tour of the apartment and all the information I could wish for
regarding the local amenities, and places to see and go etc.
The
location is stunning - set up and elevated, with views of the rooftops,
sea and harbour beyond. The apartment itself is so well equipped, I felt
as though I hadn't even left home! Music, DVD's etc, all thoughtfully
provided for, inlcuding fitted kitchen and space on the terraces to dine
outside, overlooking the wonderful heated pool I might add!
I have
made no mention of the stunning gardens surrounding the apartments, and
it is obvious to see the time and effort Neville & Lynne have put in to
maintaining it.
If peace and quiet is what you are looking for in a
holiday, you will find it here in abundance. If you are looking for a
half and half - dancing til dawn at the harbour and sleeping the rioja
off during the day - you will also find it here!
Careful though - the
sun is hot, and don't make the mistake of stripping off to your bikini
in the first half hour with no sun protection!
Access to the main
street in Estepona full of all types of shops, restaurants, bars, etc,
is easy. You don't really even need to hire a car, as the taxi service
from the harbour is within 2 mins drive.
Apart from the obvious
charms of Estepona itself, access to nearby Puerto Banus, Marbella,
Benhavis (loads of restaurants there!), and the beautiful white villages
surrounding Sacramento are in travelling distance.
What more could
you ask for?!
I whole-pheartedly recommended staying at Neville &
Lynnes - as a single person enjoying a break, I was made to feel welcome
at all times, and did not feel my privacy was invaded, even though they
were always on hand, at a distance, to answer any questions/have a
little natter.
Well done to N & L, for having the insight to think of
the little added extras that make a holiday all the more special. -

The location was beautiful, we ate breakfast everyday overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The property is very clean and well kept. But, what really stood out was how friendly and helpful the owners were.
Whether we just needed directions or something for the apartment they seemed more than happy to assist.
We were so spoiled on this vacation that it's going to be hard to go anywhere else.

Staying at Lynne and Neville's Villa Tranquilla is quite simply the best. The accommodation is first class simplicity and wonderfully comfortable. The hospitality is warm and welcoming without being intrusive. Great pool and lovely gardens make this an ideal get away. Close to the local restaurants and a short taxi or car ride to the beach and shops in Estepona.

The villa is wonderful in every way. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the property is meticulously maintained. The villa is quite spacious and has amazing sweeping views of the Mediterranean. The owner and host is very friendly and helpful and goes out his way to be helpful and accommodating -- it is like staying with friends!
The grounds are gorgeous. The views are astounding. The villa is very spacious. The villa is very well-stocked with just about everything you could think of needing. It is tastefully furnished and has a very light, relaxed feel.
It is also in a great location on the Costa del Sol -- We took day trips all over the Costa del Sol. Places we visited Estepona, Marbella, Casares, Mijas, Nerja, Granada, Ronda, Gibraltar, Jerez de la Frontera, and even spent a day in Tangier, Morocco!
It was a very full and fun-filled week and we had a wonderful time!

We stayed for a week in the Poolappartment. Lots space and luxury inside. The appartment and the pool were very clean. They had an nice garden and the villa is located in a nice en quiet area. The sea view was really spectacular.
The owners, Neville and Lynn were very kind and helpful.

Once again we enjoyed a very relaxing holiday in the Fountain Appartement at Villa Tranquilla! This holiday appartement is situated just outside Estapona, in a quiet urbanization within a beautiful garden environment. It is one of three appartements with the owners living at the rear of the large villa. They give the place extra care, a special touch and are very helpful in every aspect. One wakes up to a lovely view down the hill overlooking the sea. After our daily morning swim in the nicely sized pool looking at the three gorgeous palm trees and the blue sky, we enjoyed a peaceful breakfast - the kitchen is perfectly equipped with everything one needs from coffee machine to microwave, cooker plus oven, fridge with freezer etc. The apartment is spacey for two but even 3-4 would fit due to an extra bedroom plus second bathroom. Every room is pleasantly furnished which makes you feel like home from home. There are shopping facilities at the harbour (10 min drive) or a large supermarket in Estapona town. We lazed by the pool where there is enough space even if all apartments are occupied. All guests enjoy the tranquillity and we had once again very nice neighbours! In the evening we had a good walk along the beach for a drink and food at a Chirunghito (span. beach bar)or we went for a stroll on the Estapona promenade where there are also lots of restaurants. It is also very well situated for tours to Sevilla, Granada, Ronda, Jerez or Gibraltar - in case one gets too lazy reading by the pool. Our neighbours went golfing and enjoyed that very much as well. The owners even provide a folder in the appartement giving many tips for restaurants or excursions. Well, it was a very relaxing holiday and thanks to the pleasant atmosphere we will be definitely back next summer!

Having previously stayed twice at the Estepona Port apartment, also owned by Lynne and Neville, we were sure that the Villa Tranquilla Pool Apartment would live up to our expectations - and it did just that! Beautifully furnished, brilliantly equipped and in the most peaceful setting - as the name of the villa says. We had a really restful week - mostly just relaxing by the pool but with a few nearby trips as well. We found that a hire car is more necessary at the villa than (for example) in Estepona Port - but there is still a supermarket within reasonable walking distance. We 'road tested' - or should that be 'foot tested' - a newly drawn up walk around Estepona Town - produced by Neville. A really good way to see all that this lovely old and unspoiled town has hidden away. The Villa has wi-fi, which we found useful - if only to note that it was raining over in the UK! Lots of CDs, DVDs, videos are available - and books galore in the apartment.
Altogether one of the most relaxing holidays we've had! -

The experience at Villa Tranquila was amazing for Leilani and me as we loved the beautiful Spanish style villa and the hospitality of the owners Neville and Lynne. Our room had the most amazing view of the African coastline across the Mediterranean sea and it inspired us to paint and draw. I completed two paintings one of Africa calling us to come over and the other of the view out of our room window. There was so much beauty surrounding us here in Estepona and its quaint town and marina that we decided to spend most of our time walking and swimming in the sea and on the beach. The La Menorah restaurant and Jose Luis the avante garde chef completed our dining experience ala El Bulli, the world famous restaurant in Barcelona. Neville called in for us and Jose made some of the most delicious tapas and Salt Baked fish. The wine was delightful at La Menorah, a short walk from Villa Tranquila. I would recommend this place to anyone that needs to feel at home away from home thanks to the very friendly and helpful owners who assisted us with every little detail. The internet connectivity was an additional plus and Neville even helped me charge my iPhone in his computer office. The kitchen in our unit, was splendid as Leilani was delighted to cook some EggPlant Parmigiana for me and I proposed to her shortly after this heavenly meal and the Amore from my Corazon. Thank you Lynne and Neville - bless you both for having us with you as if we were family.

We stayed in this lovely apartment in the last week of may. The garden and the view of the sea from the property are great. Our two little childeren (2 and 4 years old) had a great time around the villa. We had a marvellous time in Estepona, also thanks to the very kind hosts Neville and Lynne.

Villa Tranquilla does exactly what it implies in the title. We stayed in the pool apartment, which contains everything you could want including a gas fired barbeque which was very handy. The swimming pool is just outside with a terrace, parasols and sunbeds. The property has extensive lawns with gardens that are well stocked with shrubs and flowers. There is also a viewing point at the top of the garden with lovely views of the sea. The property is in a very quiet residential location. Within walking distance are two very reasonable restaurants. Although there are two other apartments in the property it never feels like it is crowded in any way. The owners Neville and Lynne are the souls of discretion, any information that you require about the local area and restaurants is always given freely and with great enthusiasm. A short drive away is the Port of Estepona. The port is a very lively place with many restaurants serving a wide variety of different cuisines. Further on is the town of Estepona, this is a working Spanish town and has a wide variety of shops and supermarkets, also many excellent restaurants. About an hours drive away is Gibralter, this is worth a visit just to admire the view from the top of the rock, and also to pick up some duty frees. We parked in the Spanish town of La Linea and walked across the border as parking on Gibralter is a bit limited. Further in the opposite direction are the towns of Marbella and Porto Banus. Porto Banus was our favourite as it was nice to sit at a harbour side cafe and sip a coffee while surrounded by the yachts of the rich and famous. It's easy to spend a couple of hours just people watching. To sum up our holiday, it was good value for money and very relaxing. It certainly would'nt suit anybody who wanted to go out partying every night.

We spent a wonderful nine days at Villa Tranquilla in Estepona, Spain last July and had an awesome time. This is a true villa that has been converted into four separate apartments by its owners, a wonderful British couple who actually live in one of the apartments and turned out to be very warm and welcoming hosts. This was the first time we stayed in a villa instead of a hotel or a condo -- and it was perfect. The house had a beautiful view of the Mediterranean complete with the Rock of Gibraltar and on a clear day you could even see the Moroccan coast. Grounds around the house were immaculate and the pool was a lot of fun. Villa was a 7 min walk from the water and a 5 min drive from a beautiful sandy beach. I would strongly recommend renting a car since there is so much to see and the highways are excellent in this part of Spain. Gibraltar was 30 min away and Porto Banus, where rich and famous like to park their Ferraris, Lamborghinis and multi-million dollar yachts was 20 min the other way. But my favorite was a medieval castle on top of a mountain with an entire village within its walls and a breathtaking view of the surrounding valleys. Our apartment was very spacious and tastefully decorated. Everything was in order when we arrived, and we were pleased to learn that this place was actually nicer than the pictures! We'd definitely recommend this house - especially if you're bringing kids. With plenty of room for the kids to play outside, we actually found some time to relax on our vacation! You will feel like royalty.

Fromt the moment we drove up to the villa, we felt at home. Neville and Lynne greeted us and even had a welcome basket with wine ready after our long trip. We brought our Granddaughter with us and she had so much fun on the property with all kinds of activities and interaction with Neville and Lynne. She still emails them. Highly recommend.

We have stayed at Villa Tranquilla three times and I am sure we will be
visiting again. For a self catering holiday you couldn't ask for more.
Everything you could possibly need is there and Neville and Lynne are on
hand when you need them but never in your face The apartments are
comfortable, very clean and nicely furnished and decorated. And if you
need it English TV and Wi Fi are there. The grounds are lovely and
quiet. Estepona is still typically Spanish and there are lovely drives
and walks in the nearby hills. I am a photographer so very demanding on

There is a heated pool in the lovely garden and plenty of space to sunbathe. Nev, Lynne and Anna are charming hosts. The new Mercadona is within walking distance. Gibraltar is half an hours drive.
