A 5 minute walk and you are at Playa Cristo beach with two beach bar/restaurants. In another direction and you will be at the Port with shops; yachts; restaurants & 2 supermarkets as well as the Sunday Market.
A car is truly not required, unless you intend to visit places not covered easily by bus routes. We can collect you from Malaga or Gibraltar airports or you can take buses.
The Port is at the western end of Estepona. The old town of Estepona is a 20 minute leisurely stroll down the sea-front promenade. If 20 minutes is too far, there are 2 large underground car parks by the sea.
Selwo Safari Park is just outside the town and some pueblo blanco (white villages) like Casares & Gaucin are an easy drive.
Lots of golf courses are nearby, including Finca Cortesin, Valderama, San Roque & Valle Romano. Places such as Marbella; Puerto Banus & Gibraltar are about 30-40 mins drive or you can take the bus !!!
Historic cities such as Seville; Cadiz; Granada; Malaga; Ronda; Cordoba & Gibraltar are less than a 2-hour drive and if you don't have a car, you can pre-book guided coach trips. You can even drive to Algeciras (75 mins) and get a ferry / catamaran to Tangier (Morocco).
We are only a phone call or a 10 minute drive away. We can help with suggestions on where to visit & eat; best way to get there etc.
We recently had a client who needed an urgent dental repair. We sorted out the problem in 90 minutes at a cost of 40e. Do you get service like this in a "standard" flat rental? (no!)

Absolutely perfect! The apartment was the cleanest and with the best equipped kitchen ever and we have stayed in many places. Neville is a sensational host, sent a great package of info ahead and gave us a thorough orientation on arrival. His welcoming bottle of Cava was delicious and never saw the morning. We loved the deck and the views, watching the fish boats slip out at dawn from the quaint harbor. Estepona is charming and scenic, great restaurants and groceries just out the door, easy access to the a7 for daytrips and excursions. Bed was comfortable and living area fine too except we were always on the deck. It is unlike me to gush but this really is a wonderful spot. Recommended without reservation.

We had a very pleasant stay at this Estepona apartment. Location is excellent. A few minutes walk from about 30 restaurants (including a vegetarian restaurant), two beaches, Estepona town centre, the bus station, etc.
Estepona is a short bus ride away from Gibraltar, Ronda, Marbella etc. Perfect for day trips.
Apartment is well-equipped and well-stocked with all basics (such as laundry and dishwasher detergents).
Beds were comfortable.
Had breakfast on the sunny balcony every day but one in February.
Hosts were very helpful and kind.

We really enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and accommodating apartment. It was just as represented and we found ourselves wanting to stay longer. The owner was more than helpful - suggesting restaurants and places to go. We really had a lovely time and hope to return at some future date.

The apartment in Estepona was just as it looks in the advert. Everything is clean,and the amenities are adequate for 2 people.The only downside was the noise of drilling and sawing as there was repairs going on in the block, but that was not to be helped.Neville was very helpful and as the holiday firm is The Extra Mile, he certainly lives up to the name.It is well situated for the Beach and local shops etc.We would return but hire a car next time, as to go into the mountains a car is necessary. The local bus service will go to other towns but there is no bus to go round the town.Plenty of restaurants near by though and bars.It might be difficult to get English TV nextyear as the satellite system is changing but i am sure Neville will sort something out. The beach there is Playa Cristi and is wonderful, sandy, clear water and safe for children. Plenty of walks too.

Hi Mel, Thanks for the honest & accurate review. Sorry that you thought the value & comfort was only worth 3 stars. Perhaps you could e-mail me & tell me what was lacking. I called on you at least 4 times and you never mentioned any problems except when you pulled the curtain away and I had this repaired & working in 24 hours. If you had, perhaps I could have done something about it.
As you said, the only negative was the noise from repairs to another apartment which was not our fault and could happen anywhere, unless you rented a remote cottage.
Pleased that otherwise the place and our service (which included organising 2 meals with live music and a free collection from the bus station etc. etc.) was appreciated. -

My wife and I spent a week in October in the Estepona Port apartment; a decision we didn't regret for one second.
The appartment was clean and comfortable with a large balcony. The balcony doesn't get too much sun, but that wasn't something which bothered us particularly.
The pool area didn't have sun loungers when we were there, which is perhaps because there is not much space around the pool on which to put them. However, the appartment had deck chairs which you could take down to the pool area and the beach is almost a stone's throw away.
The appartment is very close to the Port, which offers some nice bars and places to eat. The old town is also within reasonable walking distance and is full of character.
Neville, the appartment owner, was extremely attentive and helpful. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. He was always available to give a bit of sage advice on how to spend our time or the best way to get around.
We wouldn't hesitate to go back. -

just back - depressed!!! great place to stay and would defo recommend this for a couple. Neville is a star - just so nice, helpful and certainly goes the extra mile. Apartment was fab - great location - everything you need. Estepona is a lovely place - but if you are looking for a mad night - it aint going to happen here!! nice restaurants - recommend Rosatta and La Pampa in Estepona town is a Must!!! lovely holiday - thanks neville - hope we will be back some day!

We have just stayed for 3 weeks at Nevilles port apartment in Estepona. It was excellent for our requirements- no steps, underground security parking and within walking distance of the marina, restaurants and supermarkets. The apartment was very well equipped and certainly for a couple ideal. Neville certainly went 'the extra mile' with a welcoming pack of kitchen things and even champagne in the fridge. He willingly kept in touch beforehand with lots of information and met us on arrival.
Would certainly visit again but from australia it is not very likely we will get this chance again. Highly recommended -

On arrival we had a warm welcome,and plenty of information about the apartment and the locallity. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and well equipped. A beautiful view of the harbour and the sea, and short walks to all types of shops and restaurants and of course the beach. We had a most enjoyable stay and would certainly book again. Neville was most helpful pointing out the points of interest which we did visit, and thoroughly enjoyed.

Having read the reviews of this flat before booking, it actually exceeded our expectations. Really clean and well fitted there was not one thing that we needed to ask for. Really comfy beds and the view of the harbour as in the picture is exactly so, just perfect for breakfast before venturing out. The location is great, only 5 mins walk from the harbour where you have the choice of at least a dozen restaurants, particularly recommend the De La Mar. There is also a lovely little beach just past the harbour which would be great for swimming and sunbathing. Also looked great for kids, very safe.
Suggest you hire a car for the daytime trips out, there is plenty to see and do. We took the bus trip to Ronda with andlucia Tours, this was good value and an excellent trip.
We were greeted very warmly by Lynne which was lovely and we met up with Neville later on in the week. They had sent us lots of information in advance and did everthing they could to make our stay enjoyable.
We would highly recommend this property and hope to visit again. -

We were greeted by Neville who is enthusiastic and welcoming. The apartment was immaculate and even stocked with the necessary food to get us started. All questions were answered immediately. The location was perfect for us. It was so easy to walk around and go to the port. The view was exactly as depicted. It was perfect.

The apartment was just perfect four a sunny comfortable holiday. We were near the best part of the beach, and there is a wonderful fish restaurant near the harbour, visited by local people. We did not need the car for daily use but for trips to Tarifa, Mijas etc. it appeared to be practical and there is a spacious garage under the apartment. My son was not able to swim in the pool but otherwise we would have surely used it.
The house was sunny and clean and the kitchen had everythng we needed (washing machine etc). -

It is so reassuring to know that you have made the right decision even before you arrive at your holiday destination, the apartment looked perfect online but after reading the reviews and exchanging a few e.mails with Nev and Lynne we just knew that it was going to be great, and it was, there was absolutely everything we needed in the apartment and Nev was just a phone call away. As we were driving to the airport we were planning our next trip. Estepona is ideally situated for visiting some of the prettiest villages and well known towns in southern Spain, Cadiz and Seville are a little further away but can be done in a day trip. I second everything that the other guests have said.

Neville and Lynne deserve the acclaim bestowed by previous guests. Even before we had arrived, the attention to every detail, and prompt answer to every question and concern was provided by Neville with charm and humour. All the typical pre-trip anxieties gave way to delightful anticipation as we knew we had made the right choice.
And the appartment and our host lived up to our expectations. It was immaculately clean and well presented ( as was the host) and the view from the terrace was as enchanting as the photos had suggested.
Neville and Lynne have really thought of every single last detail to make sure their guests enjoy their stay. And enjoy it we did.
We hope to return. Is there any better way of saying we liked it?

The title of this review says it all because this apartment is perfectly placed. It is within a 2min walk of the harbour which is surrounded by beautiful bars and restraunts, and yet still very quiet, which leads onto a lovely promenade if you fancy a walk into the town. There are two supermarkets very close by and the bus station is a 10min walk away, so you don't even need a car. Not only that it is clean, quite spacious and has everything that is needed for a lovely relaxing holiday. I would highly recomend it.

When we arrived in Estapona Neville was very welcoming and helped us to settle in. If we needed him he was only a phone call away. The apartment was clean and the bed was wonderful ( I dont like holiday beds but I slept in this one). There was everything we needed, books and lots of literature to read.The location was great and the views where wonderful, hence the second visit. Thanks Neville.

We stayed here for over a week and very much enjoyed everything about it. We did not have a car but were able to walk to everything we wanted: beaches, groceries, restaurants etc. And if you need anything Neville is eager to help you.
The best swimming beach in the area is a 2 minute walk. But our favourite place was the deck. We ate all our meals there, sunned there and read there. Very central to everything but usually very quiet. -

The flat is really nice, spacy, clean and with a lovely terrace with nice sea view. Furniture, kitchen equipment and everything else is of high standard.
The owners make you feel very welcome - and they go the extra mile to ensure your holiday is nice and relaxing. Fresh flowers, a bottle of cava, water and orange juice in the fridge - just more than you would normally expect.

We had wonderful help from the owner.
The accommodations were well supplied and with a starter supply of goods for your first day.
We found this location was convenient to grocery stores and to very good restaurants.
The apartment has a supply of books, CD's, DVD's, and Video's, plus a supply of pamphlets on the surrounding area.
We were also helped by the owner to have our rental car seen to by his mechanic.
We recommend this accommodation for one couple as it is not set up for more people, with the only bathroom being off the bedroom.

This was our first time to Spain and we really enjoyed our stay. Neville met us when we first got there and helped get us settled in. The only comment I would make is that the hall outside the apartment was a bit noisy at times. I'm sure it is because we were right by the front door to the complex. We enjoyed how close we were to restaurants. This allowed us to simply walk for dinner. We also liked the location of Estepona to other towns close by. The roads were well marked which made it easy to get around. Thank you Neville for all of your help and making us feel at home on our honeymoon! We will come back!

We have stayed at the Port Apartment in Estepona several times since our first visit in 2004. It is all the things we have always wanted in holiday accommodation and more. Its very clean, comfortable, well-equipped and in a great location. It’s the place we go to relax. We have spent many happy and enjoyable times sitting on the terrace eating, drinking and watching the boats come and go. There are plenty of restaurants and bars located in the pretty Port of Estepona and the beach of Playa Del Cristo is just perfect for more relaxation and soaking up the sun. We like to think of the Port Apartment as our home from home. We are looking forward to visiting again in Spring 2010.

We did not meet Lynne but Neville was a most charming and considerate host, providing us with an abundance of information, meeting us at the Bus Station and familiarising us with the area before depositing us at the apartment. We were very impressed with our accommodation which was in an ideal location for us as we needed to be near the marina and a supermarket. We enjoyed dining at local restaurants and exploring. It was an easy walk to Estepona 'town' along the beachfront.

This is truly an exceptional value. The location is great, easy to move about
with or without a car. The apartment is immaculate, meeting all of your
vacation needs and is ideal for a week, a month or a year.
The owners of this apartment go out of their way to make your visit as
comfortable as possible. We were impressed with the security as well as the
cleanliness apparent in every area. The kitchen and bath were spotless and
contained everything we needed for a comfortable vacation.

One of the reasons we chose this apartment was because Neville and Lynne were English and having spoken to them on the phone we knew that if we had any problems then they would be able to help us. Also Neville collected us from the airport and was able to let us into the apartment and show us where everything was and how things worked. He was able to tell us about places to visit and where to eat.
The apartment was very clean and had all the eminities needed in the kitchen. There was a nice balcony with a good view of the sea. Although it was slightly noisy some nights and maybe a larger television with the full sky package would have been preferred, it did not detract from our holiday and we would book this apartment again.
Estepona is a beautiful resort, very spanish and is unspoilt by masses of foreign people visiting, as at the moment they appear not to have noticed this lovely little resort. The Spanish people were very friendly and at night were out with their children and we felt it was a very safe place to be. -

We have stayed in many holiday houses and apartments in many places over the years, and this place ranks of one of the very best. Though only a one bedroom apartment it is very well equipped and looked after down to the smallest of details.It is in a great position, near the marina and all that it offers, and has a very sunny balcony. When we were there we were able to sunbathe on it even in October.
All in all a great place for a holiday. -

Neville picked us up from the airport on a wet February day and took us back to the The Port Apartment where it was dry, clean, warm and welcoming. It is a pretty property overlooking the pool and close to the Marina in Estepona.
Neville and Lynne had stocked the fridge with essentials for us and Neville explained the workings of the apartment. The proximity of the apartment to the Port was great as the weather was dreadful, so we didn't have to walk too far to the nearest bar! Whenever we needed help or advice on where to go or where to eat, Neville and Lynne were on hand to help.
Our stay at the apartment was altogether a good experience and we will go back one day - in Spring, next time.

We had a really enjoyable stay at the apartment and found on arrival how accomodating the place was with a fridge that had basics such as juice milk and most welcoming Cava! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need including basics like washing up liquid so that you don't have to put your holiday spending money towards boring things.
The bedroom and living areas are both spacious and nicely furnished.
The view over the harbour gives it a very relaxing feel and the fact the apartment is well located made for a great overall holiday.
The only downside would be the lack of air conditioning particuarly in the hotter months of July and August but during our stay in June the fans provided suited our needs.
I would definately recommend staying here to anyone else.

This is a beautiful apartment. It is fitted with all conveniences and has everything you could possibly need.
It is located 2 minutes walk from the Marina where there are restaurants for all tastes and some shops including a small supermarket that is open until very late (very useful!).
There are beaches within 2- 3 minutes walk from the apartment, one that is very quiet and quite secluded and another that is much bigger and has more people.
The local bus can be got just along the road from the apartment and saves the walk into town! Nice clean airconditioned buses at very reasonable fares that run all day. Estepona town is very typically Spanish with some very nice restaurants and bars and lots of shops, You can also get the bus from near the apartment into Gibraltar which is only a few miles away.
This apartment and location would suit many people and we would highly recommend it!! -

The apartment was very comfortable and clean, ideally placed for the beach and just a short walk to a choice of many restaurants.
The apartment was very quiet and peaceful and had a lovely balcony to sit out on and look over the port. The welcome pack was great, it was so good to have the basics such as water, tea, coffee, milk, etc available on arrival and saved an immediate trip to the shops.
Neville was really helpful, provide great directions and information.
We were really happy with Estepona and the apartment and would certainly consider going back again.

This holiday was to celebrate my 40th birthday - and what a treat it was. Fantastic apartment, spacious, clean, modern, bubbly waiting on arrival and a mid week visit from the owner to check we were ok. Perfectly situated in the old port area and within strolling distance of bars and restaurants. We went out every day visiting towns and markets, went down to Gibraltar and across to Tangiers on an organised coach trip (all leaflets and information were available in the apartment).
We chose to be out and about as there was so much to do, but there is a balcony terrace and a beach nearby if you want a relaxing holiday.

This will be our fourth year of renting with Neville and Lynne who we must say are really a great couple who cannot do enough for their clients to keep them happy. We found the flat was perfect in every way, clean, convenient to the beaches and within walking distance to lovely restaurants and shopping. The terrace views are breath taking and and we love sipping wine and eating meals watching the boats come and go to the port. We do not have a car as the bus depot is a 10minute walk and you can catch a bus to almost anywhere in Spain you would like to go. We stay usually for 7 weeks at a time and love it. There is no where else my husband and I would rather be and Neville and Lynne are great and only make our holiday more enjoyable with their attention to detail. We highly recommend the port apartment.

Ideally situated apartment overlooking the harbour just a short walk from a large variety of restaurants and close to the main coast road should you wish to venture further afield. The owners have provided many creature comforts to make your stay enjoyable. We have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to couples of any age.

We stayed at the Port apartment both in May 2007 and June 2008 - both times for a week. Without doubt Lynne and Neville have thought of everything to make your holiday just perfect and are discrete yet very welcoming hosts. The apartment is tasteful, spotlessly clean, very well equipped and wonderfully located for Estepona Port, a nice stroll into Estepona Town and many lovely places within easy driving distance. Neville will arrange car hire if you wish and the apartment has its own parking slot. The Port has at least two supermarkets and many restaurants. I confess we ate in most evenings - just relaxing on the lovely balcony - I loved playing house in such a nice kitchen! Thoroughly recommended and you will not be disappointed if you choose to stay there.

The apartment is very well appointed, comfortable, spotlessly clean and is very convenient for the harbour and shops. It has a lovely view of the marina. The owners are very helpful and provide many extras such as choice from a video and DVD list. I stayed on my own and felt safe. I'd highly recommend it.

Everything was great - large appartment (the balcony is essentially another room where we spent most of our time), well stocked, great and helpful landlords, near port with lots of restaurants, parking space, easy access to highway and good location for exploring the area.
