Description from the manager
This is a wonderful historic cabin located on the river with upgrades within the cabin. This is a cozy 3 bedroom-1.5 bath on the river. Located on the first floor is a full kitchen with great room, wood stove, TV/DVD, seating for 6 people at the table. Upstairs is a Master Suite, with king bed and half bath. Off the screen-enclosed porch, are two bedrooms- one with a twin bed and the other has a double bed. Truly a wonderful memory for all who stay here. Fire pit area is shared with Manor.

After staying there with my family, it was definitely the most 'rustic' property of the three properties. It was the only cabin that we stayed, and I really enjoyed having a backyard with a fire pit, swings, and proximity to the river. Seclusion was definitely the main attraction of this place, and we really had some great hang-outs there.
The single bedrooms were a bit stuffy and catatonic, and the flourescent lighting was pretty harsh. -

Nice peaceful location. Hard to use any bedroom but the main upstairs one as there is not entry from them to anything except the front porch therefore access to bathroom from them is troublesome.
This unit could benefit nicely from a new television. The one that is there is small and has a fuzzy picture.
Outside flood lights and pole lights did not work at all or it was not clear how to turn them on.
Several other bulbs were blown in this unit and need to be replaced.
With attention to these problems, this would be a wonderful getaway for a small family.Response from Range Property Management - 10/25/2011

Loved the cabin. Just need to make a doorway leading from the other bedrms into the house is all that we could see that we would change and maybe the washer/dryer could go in the little room off the kitchen...other than than that we loved the firedpit...the river nearby...thanks for everything. We had a wonderful time.

The master bedroom with half bath that encompases the entire second floor is great.
However, the other two bedrooms do not have direct access to the cabin. Those bedrooms exit onto the screened in porch; this makes it a bit uncomfortable for those requiring the use of the bathroom at night. It was great having a washer/dryer in the bathroom.
The outdoor fire pit is truly wonderful. The only bad thing was we rented a movie on a rainy might and was not able to play it on the DVD player...it appears is was for music only..:(. Oh and the noise from the furnace is frightning. Very loud booming sound in the middle of the night. Since it was a Friday when I called the office about it, I was told they could not have someone look at it until Monday. -

Dallas, TexasWonderful, relaxing vacation right on the river.

We had a wonderful stay at the Blue Spruce Cabin. The setting right on the river was wonderful and private while being close to town and the Ymca. The wifi was a nice surprise as well. I would likely reccomend the property to any family looking for a place to play by the river and entertain children. The kids can fish in the stream or also wade in the water and throw rocks, etc. There was also an abundance on wildlife, including a visit from a local bear one afternoon.
The rental price seems a little high for the condition of the property and the amenities provided. It is an older cabin, with only one shower, a limited supply of kitchen items to use for cooking. There were also a number of burned out lightbulbs throughout the house.
Overall though, we thouroughly enjoyed our stay and certainly hope to return again in the future.

Knoxville, TNGreat location, decent value but noisy furnace.
Left on 11/04/2010 for a stay in October 2010
The cabin is located along a quiet road and near a river outside of Estes Park and is quite convenient to Rmnp and to the excellent Dunraven Restaurant. My wife and I stayed there in mid Oct. 2010 with our son and his wife. The kitchen and living room were quite comfortable. The MBR is in a loft upstairs with an open stairway (no door) to the bedroom. The other bedrooms are only large enough for a bed in each and both are on the porch requiring an exit from each bedroom onto to the outside porch before entering the living quarters of the cabin. The shower bath is located downstairs adjacent to the living room/dining room. The shower requires anyone under 5 feet 10 inches to duck to avoid hitting the sloped ceiling. Our biggest gripe was the furnace. Because temperatures were in the 30s and 40s at night, we initially used the furnace to heat the cabin at night. It is a loud and angry monster which Boooms three or four times every hour with what I speculate is the expansion and contraction of the ductwork. Regardless of the cause, we elected to sleep in the cold at night rather than be awakened hourly through the night. Furnace problems are obviously not an issue in the summer.

We are happy to hear you enjoyed your visit, but sorry about the discomfort of the wall furnace. This is an older home, that has been remodeled and still has the furnace mounted on the wall. Thank you for letting us know of the issue and be assured, I will follow through and make sure the heating system is working correctly.
Please come back and visit us again.

The master bedroom in the loft area is very nice with 1/2 bath. The other bedrooms are accessed through the front porch with no access from the main house. For 2 people staying in the loft, no problem. Others staying in the outside bedrooms have to go onto the screen porch then in the front door to get to a bathroom. Not convenient for children/anyone in cold weather/elderly, etc.
More light needed in main floor living space. Otherwise, for 2, excellent accomodations. We had problem with cable TV and Range associate personally came to cabin, arranged to have it fixed the next day when she couldn't fix it. Excellent service! -

We greatly enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it to others. It is a very quaint cabin, but we didn't come expecting luxury. It has it's own personality. Funtionally it worked very well for our us. The location was great for access to town and the park. We had smores down by the river. Only down side was internet wasn't working, but believe it was to be rectified for future guests. Overall - Very nice experience!

we rented the cabin along with the main house. It was fine but I had not realised that access to the double bedroom and single bedroom were through the covered porch. Fine for adults but perhaps scary for kids. You have to leave your bedroom, walk through the porch and re -enter the cabin door to get to the sitting room, bathroom etc. For us though, it was just fine and we would stay there again

The cabin had a lot of charm and was certainly adequate space for our family. The setting with the river and fire pit was great. We did have some issues, however with lights not working, the WiFi didn't work, even after I called the management people to address this, and some minor repairs that needed done to the property. It just sort of felt like the place had seen better days. I would probably choose to stay there again based on price and space, but would hope that these issues are addressed.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I have addressed all the issues above. I am sorry the Wi-Fi did not work, we have since replaced the modem and service. We take complaints very seriously and appreciate your honesty. Thank you again and we hope that you visit us again in the future.
