We really enjoyed staying at alleman North. It was cozy and comfortable, and the view was breathtaking. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the close access to Rocky Mountain Park. Windcliff is a wonderful place to stay. We come here every year. Alleman North was a lovely home and I look forward to staying there again.

The new deck is fantastic, the clear panels open up the view from both on the deck and inside.
The aspens were in their full glory, weather was perfect.

estes park was experiencing an unusually warm couple of days! certainly not your fault, we should have asked for more fans, thought there should be at least one fan per bedroom. b/c we were visiting family (who also has a place in windcliff) we did not use our place that much, minimal kitchen use, breakfast only. thought the amenities were basically all that we needed. we did get a chuckle out of all the notes. as i mentioned my sister rents their place in windcliff and has a minimal amount of instructions in their place. this place had notes everywhere! how to stack the dishes, the best was even the plastic hangers were labeled just in case we wanted to take some with us! overall the visit was fine, estes park is beautiful and we had a great time w/family. the view from your place was amazing! took our breath away everytime we looked at it and sometimes we didn't have a lot of breath to give away - ha! i'm sure you do background checks on all your renters so i would recommend trying to be a little less particular about all the items in your place, let your renters relax and enjoy what you have to offer, they are paying good money for it! we felt like we were being watched whenever we came and went from our place, i think the owners live in the unit above???

The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Alleman North had a terrific view and the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. We enjoyed the short travel to various trailheads and liked the fact that we were able to have the feel of being 'out-of-town' yet close to shopping and dining.

At Windcliff, the office staff is always great -- courteous and helpful. During our stay we were "marooned" in the town of Estes Park for 4-5 hours due to a fire on the edge of town. We spoke to the staff several times and always had an informative and reassuring response.
The condo itself couldn't be better -- what a view! -

Alleman North has terrific views with very tasteful furniture...except for the deck (or lack of) useable furniture. Only item provided was an old redwood unit that was uncomfortable and seemed about to collapse. Would not return without update on deck.

Thanks for your review. We appreciate your comments about the deck furniture. We hope you found the cushions for the furniture which are stored in the closet adjacent to the dining area. We have not had this comment before and will definitely take it up with the owner. We look forward to having you back at Windcliff.

Very nice 3 bedroom condo with spectacular views of the mountains. Nicely equipted kitchen, convienient washer/dryer set up. Beds were a bit hard. Should consider memory foam addition.
Windcliff staff wonderful as always. Many thanks to Michelle with the broken foot for giving us a lift when we had car trouble. -

My husband, 2 little boys (ages 4 and 2) and I decided to take a "Mountain vacation" as my older son called it, to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary. We were also joined by my brother who absolutely loved the location. There was plenty of space and privacy for all. The location was awesome in that we could see the continental divide spanning across the entire horizon from our balcony. We got beautiful pictures of sunrises and sunsets. We got to see plenty of wildlife from the house- elk, deer, magpie, starlet jay, and a black bear. The layout of the house was very cozy, warm, and inviting, as were our neighbors downstairs. It was well maintained and clean. The kitchen was so well equipped that we were never lacking- we cooked everyday! We loved our stay very much and hope to come back some day very soon.

Left on 09/24/2010 for a stay in September 2010
People in Master Bedroom and twin bedroom room were very unhappy with their mattresses. One person ended up sleeping on the sofa - more comfortable (only 1 sofa to sleep on). Poor mattresses are a reason not to return. People ranged in age from late 30's to 70.
One very large frying pan was tough to use - medium size frying pan did not exist.
Disposal was not working when we arrived and 2 light were out in the chandelier over dining room table and 1 light was missing - new lights for chandelier were not available. Items fixed quickly.
Great views and a very nice floor plan!
But for the matresses the place is a 4+ -

The views from this property are outstanding. The home was well furnished; everything I needed was there. It was very clean. Windcliff, in my experience, goes to great lengths to make sure every visitor has a good experience. We have been staying here for over 20 years and we have always been very pleased.

Left on 12/12/2008 for a stay in August 2008
Although not strangers to Estes Park, this was our first ?family? vacation to Colorado that included our two young children. Our experience at Widcliff and Alleman North in particular was nothing short of magnificent. The accommodations were above average in condition, sufficient in size and ultimately to our liking. But the most compelling feature of this rental is the spectacular, 180 degree view of the continental divide. And it is this characteristic alone that has inspired us to return in 2009, so long as we are able.
Having lived in Estes Park briefly over 12 years ago, my wife spent the better part of a year pouring through prospective rentals in the area before discovering Windcliff. The location provides an exceptional balance of rugged scenery within a mountainous setting while still being very convenient to the town and all its amenities. Because of the sheer topography and fragile ecosystem (the homes are literally carved into the side of a mountain) there are not many areas for small children to safely explore. Therefore most of our outdoor entertainment included trips into town and nearby RMNP. But having said that we look forward to exploring more of the mountain next year, including a climb to the top of Teddy?s Teeth.

Ft. Collins, COGorgeous view!
Left on 12/12/2008 for a stay in April 2007
A spring weekend at Windcliff Properties has become a family tradition for us. I'm always impressed with the polite and attentive booking agent when I make our reservation.
Windcliff is easy to find and although the ride up the hill is steep with lots of switchbacks (my mother closes her eyes on the way up)once we arrive at our rental, we are always rewarded with a breathtaking view of the mountains. Allemann North is very clean, comfortably furnished with an open floor plan that takes full advantage of the view from the living room, dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is well appointed with dishes and cooking utensils. The spice cabinet holds a nice selection of items and a small wine rack offers several different wines to enjoy. You are asked to replace any bottles that you drink with wine of your choice. You can stock up on food at the Safeway in town before you head up the hill.
For outdoor activities, the YMCA of the Rockies is just across the road and they offer horse rentals, a pool, walking trails and lots of family friendly activities. The south entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park is not far away and you can choose from many different hiking trails of all levels of difficulty. Downtown Estes Park is full of shops to wander through - some touristy and some very nice. The River Walk behind the shops on the main street is a beautiful spot to relax for a while. Estes offers some quite nice restaurants if you want to take a break from cooking.
After a busy day in the great outdoors, Allemann North is a quiet, welcoming place to relax while continueing to enjoy the beauty of Colorado. Sipping a glass of wine on the deck while watching the sun set over the mountains is a great way to end the day.

I am the accomodation booker for our group vacations. I always hold my breath until we arrive and can actually see what we have booked. This home did not disappoint in any way. The pictures accurately portrayed the home, but there was no way that you could fully appreciate the view without being there on the deck taking it all in with your own senses.
The staff is incredibly friendly and thoughtful. The entire experience was very easy and enjoyable. My only regret was that I only had a week to stay, this time. I will definetly return in the future and I highly recommend it to everyone.
