Service from the Staff at Windcliff was top notch as usual. We really loved alpine Jewel. We enjoyed the layout, very spacious, kitchen utensils would rival a gourmet kitchen. Beds were very comfortable, pool table was a hit with my teenage children. Media room had a great sound system. House was decorated very well. Beautiful views, quiet surroundings, and wonderful memories. I highly recommend this rental to anyone who has a family. Drinking hot chocolate and enjoying the view from the Great Room was outstanding.

Chose alpine Jewel to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Chose it based on 5 Star rating with 38 terrific reviews. Well... there should be a way to give 6,7,8,10 stars!! The place is awesome. We fully expect to return with more family members in the future. Everything about the trip from the location, the home, amenities, and unparalleled quality of service provided by the Windcliff staff have resulted in constant conversation planning to return. This particular property is very romantic for two, but well laid out and expertly equipped to host the maximum allowed. My only concern is that everywhere else we go now will pale in comparison.
Tips: Roads are great, but Nancy @ Windcliff recommended a 4x4 given the winter season. Good Call. Driveway was icy, but no problem in 4x4 mode. Awd would probably be fine as well. Garage was stocked with ice melt, snow shovels, sand, etc.. Driveway is paved so this is not a concern during other seasons. Roads to property were cleared, graded, and generally very easy to travel. Keep it slow to stay safe, but nothing scary about getting there.

Manager
Thanks for your excellent review. You stated the situation with winter driving perfectly: no problem for the guest who has AWD or 4WD and is prepared. We work hard to keep the roads and driveways in good winter driving condition but this is the mountains!
We hope you come back soon. -

Great cabin with multiple amenities. Loved the kitchen and the master Bed.
But above all, the view of the continental divide was mesmerizing. The cain sits at 8713 feet alitude and the view is stunning. couldn't walk through the living room without stopping and looking out the two pitcure windows in the living room. and the cabin itself is a well equipped, modern log cabin. We loved or say here! -

We just celebrated our 30th Wedding anniversary at the alpine Jewel. Amazing views, beautifully decorated, the bed in the master bedroom is so comfortable. The two recliners in the great room with that spectacular view. You'll never want to leave this place! Kitchen is unbelievable and very convenient location to the Park and downtown. We'll be back on a regular basis and look no further for a place to stay in Estes park!!!

Our second time at Windcliff and this place was even better. Calling to book is easy and they are very helpful when you have a 17mo old. High chair and playpen was in home ready for you. The home is exceptional. Wish we could of stayed longer. The views are soo beautiful. Coming from Houston TX we were winded just going up and down the stairs. Amazing how altitude affects you and we laughed about it. In the morning deer were in the woods lying right next to house. Great place for nature and adventure. We took the hike to Estes cone and not being seasoned hikers we survived and it was worth it. The house has everything except after a hike like that a hot tub would have topped it off. Otherwise everything you ever wanted was there. Kitchen is stocked and left over things in pantry was very helpful. Our family enjoyed it and we will be returning again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Our stay at alpine Jewel was better than we could have imagined. This home is lovely and so comfortable. The kitchen is the best, but could use better lighting. The view is great! The beds are so comfy! The driveway is not for the faint at heart; but once you get the hang of it, it's not any big deal. Would definitely stay here again!

This home is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous decor and very spacious. It is immaculately clean! The multi-million dollar views are breathtaking. One suggestion: Please put a telescope in the living room so that the mountains can be viewed up-close from the picture windows. The 10 minute drive up the mountain to this house is well worth it. This was our 2nd time at Windcliff and we will be back.

We enjoyed this home very much. The only problem we had was that one of our party was very frightened of the road, but it should not bother anyone who is accustomed to mountain driving - the road is well-maintained and quite wide. The view is one of the best I have ever seen in the Estes Park area. The home's amenities are excellent. The staff were wonderfully helpful.

Windcliff Properties provided services that surpass any and all we have thus far enjoyed. The staff was highly professional, helpful and always had smiles. Alpine Jewel was just that...a jewel! The many amenities offered by this lovely home helped make our stay more enjoyable. Every bed was of the finest quality, from the linens to the comforter, even the pillows...so very much appreciated after a long day touring the mountains, parks and downtown areas. I must say that after those very long and wonderful days it was a true joy to sit on the deck and just stare at the spectacular views while sipping a glass of wine!

Definitely a 14 karat diamond jewel!!! This was our 4th vacation trip to Estes Park but the 1st time staying at alpine Jewel. Now that we've discovered this gem of a home, it has become our preferred choice of lodging. The views are spectacular and the furnishings & decor awesome. Enjoyed reading and napping while resting in the leather recliners. Master bed was very comfortable. Gourmet kitchen made meal preparation delightful. Only suggestion would be to label the light switches. Terrific place to chill-out and rejuvenate. Kudos to the Owners for providing such an exquisite place to total strangers. The staff at Windcliff Properties was a pleasure to work with. Looking forward to returning in the near future.

This place is great. We have stayed in several Wind Cliff rentals and several places in Estes, this is the best we have rented. Wish I could go back and lower other ratings so this one would stand out more. Great views, great ( amazing ) kitchen, comfortable beds, very fun place. If you want to hear bad things, scary drive way, any wind cliff property is 15 minutes from the high way so take groceries up with you, any hiking from the house is pretty much straight up or down.

We arrived to a friendly and quick "check in". After a breathtaking drive up the mountain, a beautiful, specious home was awaiting us. So clean, you could give it a white glove test...pictures on the internet do no justice...the house and it's views are stunning. So comfortable and full of surprizing amenities, took no time to get used to it and find our way around it. The kitchen was fit for a master cook! We cooked dinner every other night, but I wish we did it every night...The pantry was stocked with a bunch of goodies left over from previous guests. That was a very nice surprise...We really didn't know what to expect, but we were very pleasently surprised. The views from the windows and the decks are just marvelous, we enjoyed our morning coffee watching the sunrise every day, and every few minutes the view would change, with wildlife enhansing the views. The neigborhood was very quiet and friendly. The distance from the home to the main road is 2 miles of a very winding road. You will find folks taking a walk, always waving and with a big smile. If you're lucky, there will be deer or a coyote sharing the road with you...It's hard to find something we didn't like. This place has become our comparison point to all our future vacations...Thank You! to the owners of alpine Jewel for opening their house to us. We hope life can bring us back there some day!!! Irene and family from New jersey.

The alpine Jewel was an amazing rental home. Everything in the place was perfect. The view from the living room was spectacular. When seeing the pictures posted on the website, we really thought the view must have been Photoshopped in, but no! Every picture was exactly as it is in the house. It was as beautiful as shown, and more!. Definitely not your run of the mill log cabin. This is a luxury home. Lots of attention to detail (a towel warmer in the master bath!) and top of the line appliances made our stay relaxing great. It was a short ride to Rocky Mountain National Park which was our Destination each day. My husband and I were traveling with our 18 year old daughter and 21 year old son who loved it as much as we did. They had plenty of space to hang out away from their parents!
I'd love to return next time we're in the area. -

This property exceeded my expectations in so many ways. The views of Rocky Mountain National Park are amazing as were the sunsets. You'll open the door and not want to leave. It's about a 10 minute drive up the mountain to the home. While we were there in august, a four wheel drive vehicle would definitely be needed climb the cliff when the snow starts to fall and temperatures freeze.
My husband and I stayed there with our two teens and my parents. There was plenty of room for all three generations to spread out. Simply amazing. -

Can't imagine anyone who wouldn't love staying in this home. Everything you could possibly need is provided and it is spotless. Views from the house leave you speechless. The only negative comment we have to make is that the lighting is really dim at night, especially in the upstairs living/kitchen area.
