Better than the pictures...
This is a piece of paradise. The views can't be beat. I would call this more of a mountain estate than cabin. Very well appointed and decorated, top notch in all respects. The only thing a little scary is the drive up the mountain the first few times at night, until you get use to it and the steep driveway. Other than that, perfection...

Calm and Beautiful!
I truly enjoyed my stay at alpine Jewel with my sons, age 20 and 13. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. It was way more than I ever imagined. We enjoyed the views, and the entire lay-out of the cabin was more than comfortable. I would highly recommend this cabin.
I look forward to more stays at this beautiful cabin! We will be back.
Alpine Jewel is amazing. The views are breathtaking. The home is decorated beautifully and is very comfortable. Our family of 4 totally enjoyed our stay and we will be back.

Perfect Family Vacation
We rented this beautiful house for a week. We were 2 grandparents, 4 parents, and 2 three year olds. The views from every room were fantastic- waking up every morning to a view of the moon over the continental divide was breathtaking. The bedroom setup was perfect for our group and the beds were comfortable and inviting. Bathrooms are beautiful and extremely clean. The decor in this house is perfect and makes you really feel you are at home. Finally the kitchen. This is the most well-stocked kitchen I have ever been in and it truly lacks for nothing. Great appliances -especially that stove! Thank you so much for allowing us into your home-we hope to return!
Alpine Jewel--the perfect get away!!!
What an incredibly gorgeous and totally comfortable home! Alpine jewel is absolutely beautiful with captivating views that you do not want to leave. The nighttime sky is incredible from so high on the mountain. The home is spacious, and the decor is tasteful, warm and sooo inviting. The kitchen is a pleasure to use with more of the mesmerizing view from the huge window over he sink. The homeowners seem to have thought of every convenience for guests. The overall ambience of the Windcliff community is one of peace and serenity. The staff at the rental office were very courteous and accommodating, helping to make our visit to alpine Jewel the perfect get away!
Everything about our stay was awesome!! We wii be back again!!!
Outstanding Spring Break Experience with the Entire Family at al
Service from the Staff at Windcliff was top notch as usual. We really loved alpine Jewel. We enjoyed the layout, very spacious, kitchen utensils would rival a gourmet kitchen. Beds were very comfortable, pool table was a hit with my teenage children. Media room had a great sound system. House was decorated very well. Beautiful views, quiet surroundings, and wonderful memories. I highly recommend this rental to anyone who has a family. Drinking hot chocolate and enjoying the view from the Great Room was outstanding.

Chose alpine Jewel to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Chose it based on 5 Star rating with 38 terrific reviews. Well... there should be a way to give 6,7,8,10 stars!! The place is awesome. We fully expect to return with more family members in the future. Everything about the trip from the location, the home, amenities, and unparalleled quality of service provided by the Windcliff staff have resulted in constant conversation planning to return. This particular property is very romantic for two, but well laid out and expertly equipped to host the maximum allowed. My only concern is that everywhere else we go now will pale in comparison.
Tips: Roads are great, but Nancy @ Windcliff recommended a 4x4 given the winter season. Good Call. Driveway was icy, but no problem in 4x4 mode. Awd would probably be fine as well. Garage was stocked with ice melt, snow shovels, sand, etc.. Driveway is paved so this is not a concern during other seasons. Roads to property were cleared, graded, and generally very easy to travel. Keep it slow to stay safe, but nothing scary about getting there.
Response from Windcliff Properties, Inc. - 03/19/2013
Thanks for your excellent review. You stated the situation with winter driving perfectly: no problem for the guest who has AWD or 4WD and is prepared. We work hard to keep the roads and driveways in good winter driving condition but this is the mountains!
We hope you come back soon.

Absolutely perfect! This is the place to stay!
We just celebrated our 30th Wedding anniversary at the alpine Jewel. Amazing views, beautifully decorated, the bed in the master bedroom is so comfortable. The two recliners in the great room with that spectacular view. You'll never want to leave this place! Kitchen is unbelievable and very convenient location to the Park and downtown. We'll be back on a regular basis and look no further for a place to stay in Estes park!!!
Beathtaking and relaxing
Our second time at Windcliff and this place was even better. Calling to book is easy and they are very helpful when you have a 17mo old. High chair and playpen was in home ready for you. The home is exceptional. Wish we could of stayed longer. The views are soo beautiful. Coming from Houston TX we were winded just going up and down the stairs. Amazing how altitude affects you and we laughed about it. In the morning deer were in the woods lying right next to house. Great place for nature and adventure. We took the hike to Estes cone and not being seasoned hikers we survived and it was worth it. The house has everything except after a hike like that a hot tub would have topped it off. Otherwise everything you ever wanted was there. Kitchen is stocked and left over things in pantry was very helpful. Our family enjoyed it and we will be returning again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Truly a jewel!
Our stay at alpine Jewel was better than we could have imagined. This home is lovely and so comfortable. The kitchen is the best, but could use better lighting. The view is great! The beds are so comfy! The driveway is not for the faint at heart; but once you get the hang of it, it's not any big deal. Would definitely stay here again!
One of the best!
This home is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous decor and very spacious. It is immaculately clean! The multi-million dollar views are breathtaking. One suggestion: Please put a telescope in the living room so that the mountains can be viewed up-close from the picture windows. The 10 minute drive up the mountain to this house is well worth it. This was our 2nd time at Windcliff and we will be back.
Excellent accomodation with beautiful view!
We enjoyed this home very much. The only problem we had was that one of our party was very frightened of the road, but it should not bother anyone who is accustomed to mountain driving - the road is well-maintained and quite wide. The view is one of the best I have ever seen in the Estes Park area. The home's amenities are excellent. The staff were wonderfully helpful.
We could not have made a better choice!
Windcliff Properties provided services that surpass any and all we have thus far enjoyed. The staff was highly professional, helpful and always had smiles. Alpine Jewel was just that...a jewel! The many amenities offered by this lovely home helped make our stay more enjoyable. Every bed was of the finest quality, from the linens to the comforter, even the pillows...so very much appreciated after a long day touring the mountains, parks and downtown areas. I must say that after those very long and wonderful days it was a true joy to sit on the deck and just stare at the spectacular views while sipping a glass of wine!
My family has stayed at Windcliff 4 times. We love it. The homes are all amazing, the view is breathtaking and the people are all so nice!
This was the first time to stay in alpine Jewel and while the other homes we stayed in were very nice, this was hands down our favorite home. We can't wait to vacation there again next year!!!
Very relaxing and beautiful!
Alpine Jewel exceeded our expectations. It is such a warm and inviting home. The decor is awesome. The pool table was great family fun without having to leave the house. The setting is very private, yet close to town. We enjoyed watching the wildlife and the great mountain view from the recliners in front of the big windows. Everything you need is there. We all had a great stay!

Hate to let anyone else know about this fabulous place!!
Spent 3 wonderful days with family in luxurious accomodations in a private setting with drop-dead killer views. Could have stayed for a week! Lots of room to spend time together and yet plenty of room to have privacy too. Tastefully decorated with every amenity imaginable. Driveway not for the faint of heart! Can't wait to go back.
A Jewel of a Find!!!
Definitely a 14 karat diamond jewel!!! This was our 4th vacation trip to Estes Park but the 1st time staying at alpine Jewel. Now that we've discovered this gem of a home, it has become our preferred choice of lodging. The views are spectacular and the furnishings & decor awesome. Enjoyed reading and napping while resting in the leather recliners. Master bed was very comfortable. Gourmet kitchen made meal preparation delightful. Only suggestion would be to label the light switches. Terrific place to chill-out and rejuvenate. Kudos to the Owners for providing such an exquisite place to total strangers. The staff at Windcliff Properties was a pleasure to work with. Looking forward to returning in the near future.
Quiet, clean and spacious. Amazing time and we would definitely stay again.

One of the best trips ever
Staying at the alpine Jewel was a definite treat. We saw pictures of the home before our trip, but it was more than we could have imagined when we arrived. The staff was excellent as well. Super nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

The weather was only outdone by the bueaty of the alpine Jewel property. I only wish we had more time to enjoy the property.
We loved spending our 20th wedding anniversay ay alpine Jewell. It is a beautiful home with all the amenities and the views are spectacular. We enjoyed seeing the birds and other wildlife along with the peace and quiet. It's a great place to rejuvenate. I would highly recommend this property. It is equally perfect for couples or families.

Didn't want to leave...
We arrived to a friendly and quick "check in". After a breathtaking drive up the mountain, a beautiful, specious home was awaiting us. So clean, you could give it a white glove test...pictures on the internet do no justice...the house and it's views are stunning. So comfortable and full of surprizing amenities, took no time to get used to it and find our way around it. The kitchen was fit for a master cook! We cooked dinner every other night, but I wish we did it every night...The pantry was stocked with a bunch of goodies left over from previous guests. That was a very nice surprise...We really didn't know what to expect, but we were very pleasently surprised. The views from the windows and the decks are just marvelous, we enjoyed our morning coffee watching the sunrise every day, and every few minutes the view would change, with wildlife enhansing the views. The neigborhood was very quiet and friendly. The distance from the home to the main road is 2 miles of a very winding road. You will find folks taking a walk, always waving and with a big smile. If you're lucky, there will be deer or a coyote sharing the road with you...It's hard to find something we didn't like. This place has become our comparison point to all our future vacations...Thank You! to the owners of alpine Jewel for opening their house to us. We hope life can bring us back there some day!!! Irene and family from New jersey.
Excellant place to stay. It rained for two days but it didn't matter we were staying a the alpine Jewel and I can not hink of a better place to sit back, light a fire and enjoy the view.
Mountain views and luxury home
The views were amazing and the home was very well done. The gourmet kitchen was fun to use and the decks got a lot of use as well. Easy access to Estes Park, and Rmnp. We saw lots of elk and we took in a parade in town. A great experience all around.

Exceded Our Expectations!
We stayed in the very lovely "Alpine Jewel" on our vacation this year, and what a treat it was to come back after a day of hiking in Rmnp to this gorgeous home. Comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, a fabulous kitchen, and incredible views from every room! 5 out of 5 stars in every way. Can't wait to come back.
The alpine Jewel was an amazing rental home. Everything in the place was perfect. The view from the living room was spectacular. When seeing the pictures posted on the website, we really thought the view must have been Photoshopped in, but no! Every picture was exactly as it is in the house. It was as beautiful as shown, and more!. Definitely not your run of the mill log cabin. This is a luxury home. Lots of attention to detail (a towel warmer in the master bath!) and top of the line appliances made our stay relaxing great. It was a short ride to Rocky Mountain National Park which was our Destination each day. My husband and I were traveling with our 18 year old daughter and 21 year old son who loved it as much as we did. They had plenty of space to hang out away from their parents!
I'd love to return next time we're in the area.
Simply a Dream Vacation Home
This property exceeded my expectations in so many ways. The views of Rocky Mountain National Park are amazing as were the sunsets. You'll open the door and not want to leave. It's about a 10 minute drive up the mountain to the home. While we were there in august, a four wheel drive vehicle would definitely be needed climb the cliff when the snow starts to fall and temperatures freeze.
My husband and I stayed there with our two teens and my parents. There was plenty of room for all three generations to spread out. Simply amazing.
This was a fabulous vacation from beginning to end. The Windcliff office staff were so friendly and helpful. It was an absolute pleasure doing business with them. The home and views were beyond wonderful. The home had all the conveniences plus some. We wanted for nothing. And the views were the best in Rmnp!
Second stay wast just as enjoyable as the first.
Can't imagine anyone who wouldn't love staying in this home. Everything you could possibly need is provided and it is spotless. Views from the house leave you speechless. The only negative comment we have to make is that the lighting is really dim at night, especially in the upstairs living/kitchen area.

Ested Park Pearson house
This was to be our honeymoon. My wife always had a dream of staying in a log cabin in the mountains. You woiuld not believe the look on her face when we walked in the front door of the Pearson house...cabin is not the word. The view was incredible, the decor and the layout of the property way excellant, and the amenities luxurious, and the service from the staff was abouve and beyond. I have travelled all over the USa and many places abroad. I cannot remember having more spectular accomodations anywhere. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to a tragic death of an employee of our business. We will be back!
Highlands Ranch, CO
Thank you once again to the Pearson family for sharing their lovely home with us. We are not new to renting this home. There could not be a better place to create memories with our children! We will be back soon.
Fantastic Home & Views!
The Pearson is a beautiful log home with wonderful views of the Rocky Mountains. There were 6 people in our party and we all would love to come back again soon!
Perfect home - the view was so great that we did not want to go anywhere during our 8 day stay! Better views than in the park! Comfortable with everything we needed. So peaceful. We hope to be back soon!
Relaxing and Beautiful!
The Pearson home was absolutely beautiful, even better than the online pictures. It was clean and comfortable. We stayed for 5 days and wished our stay was longer. I would definetely return to this vacation home in the future.
The perfect Rocky Mountain vacation spot!
Our stay at the Pearson home was incredible. My 7-yr old daughter said it all when she first walked in and said "Pinch me, I must be dreaming!" The house was beautiful, incredibly clean and what an amazing kitchen! Breathtaking views on every floor, and a great location - close to the activities yet you really felt private and isolated. We hope to come back again.

We stayed at the Pearson home from July 25-31, 2010 and could not have been more pleased! The house is absolutely beautiful! Top of the line kitchen and accomodations throughout! My daughter, spouse and grandson along wth myself, spouse and our teenage son stayed for a week. We each had our own floor and plenty of room. The pool table was quite a hit for our son, as was the big stuffed bear in the media room for my grandson. As for the adults, the upper deck and living room provided breathtaking views that were unbelieveable! We hope to come back someday! You will not be disappointed in this home!
Incredible view of the mountains from a unique luxury home
This luxury home has huge views of the continental divide mountains in Rocky Mountain National Park. The furnishings and decor are first class log cabin style.
Pictures do not do it justice
What a fabulous home and location! The on-line pictures are great but do not capture the uniqueness of the Pearson home. This home is luxurious yet very inviting and warm. The kitchen is very well equipped and the attention to detail and design is impeccable. Then the views...we were glued to the picture window looking out at the Rocky Mountains. I recommend this home without hesitation - you will not be sorry
The Pearson property was perfect in most every way. The view was extraordinary, and the home decor and amenities were superb. The only small detail problem is the front door. Though I had read the warning about it, I scraped my hand trying to close it. The handle really needs to be moved over.
Our family spent a week at this home and we will definitely be back! The views were incredible. This home is amazing and we did not want to leave. Thank you to the Pearson family for sharing their wonderful home!
2 thumbs up!
Blown away by this home! Fantastic stay!
Log Cabin Luxury
My family and I spent a four day Thanksgiving weekend at the Pearson house and enjoyed every minute. We're returnees to Windcliff -- love the views and natural setting. The house was the epitome of luxurious but homey comfort. The media room and rec room with pool table provided many hours of family fun. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for the holiday meal and cooking for a crowd. We'll be back!
