Description from the owner
The Loft is located in Brownsville Oregon, upstairs in the C.J. Howe Building overlooking Oregon’s 3rd oldest pioneer town and filming location for the 1980?s Rob Reiner film Stand By Me. Previously a boarding facility for the railroad (among other things), the Loft’s unique accommodations are perfect for large families and close friends: 3 king sized beds, 2 twin beds (trundle) and 2 inflatable beds.
We have to pinch ourselves every time we stay at this very special place… it is truly an amazing piece of Brownsville Oregon’s history. We look forward to sharing our family’s special retreat with you.

HoustonFabulous!
Left on 05/01/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Wow! The Loft far exceeded our expectations. It is incredibly spacious, well-maintained and the amenities are unsurpassed. Seriously - every pot, pan, knife, towel, appliance, pillow, spice, you-name-it that you could ever need. The owners have made the entire place feel warm and inviting. They are also incredibly responsive and made our reservation and stay an absolute breeze.
My friends and I were also pleasantly surprised with Brownsville. The town is quite charming and is home to some amazing cinnamon rolls and coffee cake at the coffee shop a short walk from the Loft. We stayed in Brownsville to run the Eugene Marathon, and the commute between the two was quick and scenic. We highly recommend the Loft! -

PortlandIncredible experience!
Left on 09/26/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We stayed with a group of 6 at the loft and had a fantastic time! Downtown Brownsville is absolutely the quintessential small town experience. Lots of great little shops and fantastic views. We went on several hikes and enjoyed all the area had to offer.
The loft was clean, comfortable, had all the amenities we could have asked for and was more than enough space for the 6 of us.
I can't recommend it enough! -

Pioneer CAGreat Experience!
Left on 07/06/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This was our second stay here, and we hope to always return here when we get the opportunity to visit Brownsville.
The quaint, historic town is the site of the Linn County Pioneer Picnic and the setting for much of the movie Stand By Me.
The people are quite friendly, you're only 30 minutes from Eugene, the river is a 2 minute walk away and there's plenty to do for such a small town, too.
The loft is very spacious, and the kitchen/dining/family room are wonderful for cooking/eating/socializing together. The bedrooms are very comfortable as well.
I highly recommend staying here if you're going to be in the Eugene or albany area.
