Topeka, KansasPerfect for my birthday celebration.
Left on 05/02/2013 for a stay in February 2013
I could not have asked for a more perfect location/accomodation for my birthday celebration with my girlfriends. The setup of the house was perfect for us. We could all hang out together or have privacy, whatever we wanted. We all talked about how nice it would be to see the grounds in thespring/summer when everything is green and we could enjoy the porch more. My friends were all very impressed that I'd found such a perfect place! Laura, the owner, was so helpful when I was making my decision to stay there. She had everything ready for us when we arrived as well as treats for us to enjoy at breakfast. She was a wonderful hostess and took such good care of us.

Excellent for family reunions. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, plenty of living space for visiting together. The caretaker was very friendly and sensitive to our wants and needs. Loved the deer and wildlife. Plenty of games to play. Great fun.

Springfield, MOCouples getaway retreat
Left on 03/26/2013 for a stay in July 2012
My husband and I traveled with four other couples for a weekend getaway (without kids) to Eureka Springs. The two bedrooms with outside entrances are pretty good size. Two of the jacuzzi bedrooms in the house are decent size. One is quite small. The upstairs loft area is very cozy and nice. We cooked several meals at the house and had everything we needed. We did see deer several times. We've already planned our return trip for this summer. We were surprised that there weren't any toiletries in the bathrooms. The house is located up a very steep hill from downtown. So, while it is very close, it is not an easy walk unless you're in really good shape.

I was surprised to hear about the "no toiletries" as we supply face soap, bath soaps, and body lotion. We used to supply shampoos, and we do have an "emergency" supply available , but we found most folks prefer their own brands of shampoo.
I hadn't expected anyone to use the grill at this time of year, and agree it was in bad shape.. it was slated for the recycling center. We do have another stone fire place grill, but intend to have a new charcoal one for the 2013 season,
Yes we are up hill, we do recommend that our guests who don't want to walk back up hill, take the trolley around, and it has a stop just 2 flat blocks away. But we are glad those things didn't keep you from returning again this year. We look forward to seeing you again -

Frisco, TexasVery relaxing, w full accommodations for 12 adults
Left on 07/07/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Had first annual Family Reunion at the Gaslight, June 2012. Stayed Sunday to Sunday and enjoyed 6 spacious private Bedrooms, 2 Dining rooms, full Kitchen (w/ all appliances); Living room w/ 2 comfy sofas and chairs. Has 2 Tv's, some Dvd's, lots of books and family games. Ac worked well, even at mid-90's outside.
Our daily/nightly gathering spot was the very relaxing and cozy covered L-shaped front porch (accommodating entire group of 13; extra porch chairs provided) and view of the fountain and gazebo. Always seemed to have a pleasant breeze. Saw a few deer (early am and Late afternoon, a fox (2x), lots of birds and 2 hungry cats. Brenda (caretaker) very helpful, and on property watering, etc. Responded w/ replacement coffee maker within 15 minutes.
Near groceries, gas, C-store, w/ downhill walk to retail, restaurants and trolley cars. Uphill walk back very steep. Lovely downtown area; variety of choices for eating, touristing, hiking and water activities.
Lots of on-site parking in back. -

Oklahoma CityThe perfect place for a group - Walk to downtown or to the groce
Left on 12/29/2010 for a stay in November 2010
This is the perfect place for any group event... We had our family thanksgiving at this house and it was wonderful! It is an easy walk to downtown (yes - you will get your exercise climbing the hill that the house is on, but you will forever have a fun memory of the walk.) This house has a great porch to enjoy anytime and there is plenty of parking. You can't go wrong

We rented this house with our grown children & 7 grandchildren. We all loved it. The house is very unique and a historical piece in itself. The town has a lot for families to do and surrounding areas are just as great. I would highly recommend The Gaslight for its old-fashion charm and it is close to everything.

Left on 05/26/2010 for a stay in May 2010
I am sure I looked at every place to stay in Eureka Springs that had a web site. This was the only place I found with so many bedrooms with private bathrooms. All the queen beds had great mattresses. We had options with the bathrooms. Some had showers, some had jacuzzi tubs, and some had both. Just be aware that two of the bedrooms are separate units on the lower level and accessed from the outside. I am glad I brought a large flashlight. We let the coffee drinkers have the rooms in the main part of the house, but they fixed breakfast every morning! The house was so pretty with beautiful windows. We loved seeing the deer in the yard. The best part has to be the huge porch where we all hung out. There is a steep hill going up to the house, but we always drove the other way and it was flat and no problem. It was so close to town, just a few minutes, and so peaceful. There was a good selection of games to play and we loved the breakfast items Laura left for us. The tea biscuits were so good. My research on the web did find two excellent places to eat. The Mud Street Cafe was great for lunch downtown and we had a fantastic meal at the Grand Central Hotel on our last evening. Thank you Laura, we had a wonderful ladies get-a-way. Can't wait to return in the fall and use the fireplaces!

My husband and I took our son, daughter and their spouses and our 4 grandchildren (ages 3-10 yrs) here for an early summer vacation. We loved the private bath for each bedroom. The house was large enough to allow everyone some privacy and the two dining areas gave us plenty of room for kids' and grown-ups' tables. The kids loved the yard and everyone loved sitting on the large porch. Downtown is close and we actually walked there and back. The up-hill climb on the way back is steep. Our hostess, Laura, was very welcoming and so helpful. We've already recommended this place to friends. We had a great time. Thanks, Laura!
