Fair Harbor is on Fire Island in Suffolk county ny.. Imagine a barefoot community with wooden walkways great sandy beaches, great sunsets, wooden walkways... no cars... Sounds like paradise.. less than 2 hours from New york.. so close yet so far away.
Our house by the bay is available for memorial weekend and other weekends, weeks, and midweeks from May through columbus weekend in october.
We have 3 bedrooms plus an open loft... there are 6 twin beds.,,,2 twin beds in 3 of the bedrooms plus a full size bed. 1 full bathroom indoors plus an outdoor shower. we have a large private deck with a weber grill.. we have all the usual...Read more

A beach Community.. No Cars .Lounge on the beach, take a walk or a run to the lighthouse, ride the waves, fly a kite, go for a bike ride,,,.. ..the sunsets are amazing. fair harbor is a small town.. one restaurant, a market, a general store, pizza place, liquor store and ice cream shop. Take the rrail road from nyc, hop on the ferrry to fair harbor... so close ye so far a away... fair Harbor is an amazingly relaxing place.. and magical and romantic place.

Exactly what is needed in a beach rental...

I've been renting in Fair Harbor for over 20 years. What you need in a Fire Island rental is to be near the ferry, the store but still have and quiet and privacy. You need beach chairs, umbrellas, games and wagons to transport them to the beach or goods from the ferry. You want bikes for exploring and board games and wifi connection if the weather turns bad. This place meets all those needs. Nestled in the back of a duplex at the corner or Bay Walk and Cranberry it is a five-minute walk from the ferrry and store. Its back-of-house deck allows for privacy. The bikes work, the wagons roll and the beach is only a five-minute walk to the other end of Cranberry. It is the perfect beach bungalow for a group of friends or family looking to spend a few days in a wonderful beach community.
