Blue Ridge Dream provided us a very pleasant stay, giving us a nice break from atlanta's Summer heat. The outside porch was really great for our morning breakfasts and evening happy hours and chats.

Scenery was great and log house had everything that you needed. Aboretum, Chimney Rock, and Biltmore House were all very close. Very rural but grocery stores were easily accessable.

The cabin was perfect! We loved the combination of nice finishes like the granite in the kitchen, while still being a cozy cabin. The views from both decks were fantastic. We would recommend a larger TV in the family room though. We had a great time and will definitely visit again.

Unfortunately, I wanted a place near Black Mtn. and since I didn't know where Fairview was, I relied on the agent to understand that I wanted to be near Black Mtn to explore that city. The lodging was not a problem. The location was not what I was needing.

Thia cabin is perfect. Not too far from blue ridge prkway and asheville (15 min) yet on top of the world enough to feel private. Loved that our gps worked great. Supermarkets just down the hill. the most quiet ever. best, the kids were in the basement and the parents on the top floor. Kitchen and living rm in middle. perfect!!!

We really enjoyed staying here it was like home away from home. We were worried about not staying someplace in town since we were traveling with teenagers. But they enjoyed staying here as much as we did. It was very relaxing sitting on the deck and whatching the sunset.

Our stay at the Blue Ridge dream was awesome. The home is very cozy, with a spectacular view. Just about everything you would need in the kitchen is available, and there is a grocery store only five minutes away. Easy access to downtown Asheville, as well as the Grove Park Inn, the Biltmore, and anything else you want to see in Asheville. Great dining in Asheville too. Plenty of books, cable TV when you want to catch up, and internet access for the laptop. We'll be back in the fall!

West Dundee, ILBeautiful, peaceful, perfect cabin!

We had never been to Asheville before, and when we called Grey Beard, they
were really helpful giving advice on which cabin would be best for us. And at
the cabin, the owners and Grey Beard supplied two information-filled binders
about the cabin and where to go in the area for restaurants, hiking, etc...
These were extremely helpful! The cabin itself is beautiful! The balconies on
both levels provide such great views. And waking up every morning looking
out at the mountains/woods was so peaceful. They provide many basics, like
linens and towels, and some extras, including a dog towel and crate, massage
chair, a Wii, and a loaf of pumpkin bread. (But plan on bringing kleenex and
toilet paper.) The location was great...just about 20 minutes to downtown
Asheville, and less than 10 minutes to the nearest grocery store. We loved
EVERYTHING about this cabin, and we definitely plan on renting this exact
cabin sometime in the near future. -

We enjoyed a winter wonderland weekend at this cozy log home. We were snowed in - bring snow chains during winter - it's high on a mountain with a wonderful view. The home is warm and comfortable, but you do need to bring basic cooking ingredients in addition to whatever other food you bring (e.g., salt). The woodstove and massage chair were really nice. Because of the demise of being snowed in, we found the Greybeard staff were most generous and helpful - their service was outstanding and is to be commended. We look forward to another visit soon.

We were in town for a wedding, and wanted a place a bit off the beaten path, but still close to Asheville. This place is spectacular. First of all, the folks at Greybeard are wonderful and accomodating. They go through every step to be sure you have a perfect stay (including leaving you fresh pumpkin bread).
The cabin is gorgeous. It is in very good shape, was really clean, is super dog friendly (we didn't bring ours, but you should!), and has multiple decks with wonderful views. Great for a couple, or two couples, and even a kids romp room down below. Kitchen is one of the best I've seen in a rental. Well appointed, everything you need to cook a real meal. Just excellent.
I could go on and on, but mostly just want to get back there. The only negative we could find was that our stay was too short. -

Left on 09/24/2009 for a stay in September 2009
We were blown away by this beautifully appointed cabin, and its fantastic views, location, and amenities, which included comfy linens, an out-of-this-world massage chair, Direct TV, a Wii, and books that you actually would want to read. We could tell that the owners were very thoughtful about what went into the cabin, and the wants/needs of guests. To top it off- a yummy loaf of pumpkin bread awaited us upon our arrival.
I would highly recommend Blue Ridge Dream, as well as Greybeard Realty. We'll never stay in a hotel again in the Asheville area!
