The views were breathtaking and the house was conveniently located close to asheville. The house was well kept with an eclectic feel to it. Well stocked with supplies. The oven was "vintage" but worked well for all the cooking we did. we had a great trip and would stay again.

This house is very large and spacious, with room for a dozen or more people. It has a large, well-stocked kitchen with a big island that was lots of fun for entertaining. Many rooms had skylights for lots of light and an outdoorsy feel. The view from the wide deck was great, and the whole place was fresh and clean, with a new, well-kept feel. Jacuzzi, hot tub, and sauna added to the fun. It's about 20 minutes to downtown asheville (a very cool and pretty town with great food, entertainment, and culture) and not far from Blue Ridge Parkway, Chimney Rock, and the Biltmore estate (which actually has a cute little town square with great shops, restaurants, and a winery.) We drove in (2 hours) from Charlotte - all major highways with no heavy traffic. The temperature was very pleasant in June.

Family reunion!

Highly recommended. My parents and my sister's family met us here. All 6 adults and 4 small children fit with room left over in this beautiful mountain home. Everything was wonderfully well stocked and the views from the deck were breath-taking! Close to all the sites of asheville, especially the Blue Ridge Parkway. We would definitely stay again.

We have stayed at many vacation rentals. This one was one of the best. It was a great layout for extended family and the family dog. The house was well-stocked. The house was very clean. The location was very private yet not too far from hiking, downtown, etc. We wished for only two things: knives that were sharp and wireless internet.

Two families spent the New Year's Holiday in the Asheville area, and we were very, very pleased with the property. Other than a steep hill to manuever, the weather cooperated and we took advantage of the large house, multiple bedrooms and fireplaces, hot tub, and large kitchen/dining area. What a wonderful accommodation. We would come back again just to enjoy the house!
The owners showed a wonderful sense of hospitality by providing hot chocolate, candies, and cookies. It felt very home-like.
Our purpose in coming to the area was to see the Vanderbilt mansion. I would like to come back in warmer weather to enjoy more of the Vanderbilt property, too (gardens, horses). I'm sure there are many more attractions to be found also.
Although it was the New Year holiday, we had car trouble. There was a mechanic in town that even fixed our truck on New Year's Day.
The property was wonderful, and I was thankful that I was able to find it from the Carolina Mornings website. It was my first time booking a rental house online, but I felt completely successful making the accommodations for both our families.Response from Carolina Mornings - 05/24/2010

We arrived from Florida 2 days after the biggest snowstorm to ever hit Asheville. On the drive up, they called to tell us the house might actually be inaccessible as it was on the top of a mountain with an iced over road. Thankfully, the owner, Steve, worked hard to clear the driveway and was kind enough to shuttle all 8 of us and our luggage and groceries from the Food Lion down the road up the mountain in his 4x4 Jeep. The house was beautiful and well appointed. It had everything: fully stocked kitchen, dishes, coffee, towels, soaps, shampoos, even a Christmas tree!. The view off the deck was magnificent. And Steve was kind enough to shuttle us back down to our cars for a day trip out to the Biltmore and a stock up on groceries.

We had a wonderful time at Blue Sky Vista! The house was larger than expected and the view was more spectacular than advertised! The house was well appointed with anything we could need. The driveway was described as steep, but it did not prepare us for how steep it was. I do not think you could safely travel the driveway in the snow.

My family and friends stayed a Blue Sky Vista for 3 days in October for my son's wedding. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The house has spectacular views especially in the morning and at sunset. It was very clean and well maintained. The driveway is a little challenging, but well worth the effort. The people at Carolina Mornings were very helpful. We plan to come back again in the future.

We had a large group coming to Asheville for a wedding. This was the perfect place to call our "homebase." The view is amazing, the house is outstanding. The beds were quite nice, the kitchen is huge and well-stocked with pots and pans, etc. It was a very nice touch to have the welcome package. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone. Just to note, the driveway is quite steep...so be prepared. Wonderful stay though. Thanks!

Last month, a group of friends and I got together and stayed at the Blue Skye Vista rental home in Fairview, NC. We had a great time! The home was spacious and beautiful, the views were amazing, and the location was easy to find. After the weekend, we all plan to make the trip a yearly event! I would highly recommend this rental property to any group or large family. It was great for relaxing and enjoying the company of friends!

The staff was helpful from the beginning, and we found the place just as beaufitul as it was described and pictured! We really appreciated the ease with which the whole weekend was coordinated, from being able to book over the phone, to receiving the info well in advance of our weekend, to getting the house keys exactly where you said they'd be, to having a surplus of towels, space, and other amenities. It was an exceptional spot for hosting a special weekend for my sister-in-law and a number of her closest friends, and all of the feedback from the group was exceptional. They felt WELL taken care of!

the cabin was pretty awesome. we had a group of 7 and we
had room to spare. the property was incredibly well stocked,
far beyond my expectations really. lots of towels, the kitchen
was awesome (yes, we cooked a couple of times even while
on vacation), everything was very clean. highly recommend
this place to stay if. . .
the only issue we had, the very steep driveway. we had a
couple of things going against us i suppose. we arrived late,
around 11:30 pm, it had been raining all day (literally), so the
driveway was wet. with 4 guys and a bunch of luggage in a
honda accord, we didnt make it up the steep driveway on the
first try. we had to unload all of our luggage, back down the
driveway (luckily we had brought along a flashlight), and try
again in first gear.
except for that little experience, the rest of the stay was
great.
to the property managers, please consider providing at least
a warning on your website about the steep driveway. it will
help your guests at least prepare for it. -

This villa, nestled way atop its surroundings, was everything that we hoped it would be. We arrived, weary travelers, and we were welcomed with fresh cut flowers and two bottles of wine! What a way to start our vacation! The home was completely stocked with just about everything we needed, and we really felt as if we were in our own home. The view was spectacular, and although it was very private and felt isolated, it was just a short driving distance to Asheville and many other attractions. The hot tub and indoor sauna, and the library, were added bonuses. The beds were so comfortable, and sipping coffee on the deck with the morning sun was spectacular! We would love to be able to visit Blue Sky Vista again, and highly recommend it for any occasion!

Our week in North Carolina was amazing! Blue Sky Vista is a beautiful property with ample room for our entire family. We loved the mountain view, the gorgeous sunsets, and above all, the opportunity to spend an entire week together under one roof. The house surpassed our expectations with room enough for everyone to spread out and relax. We loved cooking and preparing meals together in the spacious kitchen and playing games late into the night at the dining table.
This home offers lovely furnishings and is very well stocked. We highly recommend this property to anyone who loves the beauty of the mountains while still being close enough to Asheville to enjoy all the charms the city has to offer. We'll be back! -

The house was perfect for our multi-family yearly get together! Thereus as enough space that none of us got on each others nerves-and we all know how family can be! There was even room for our two surprise guests-The dogs!!! The house had everything needed to feel like the comforts of home, plus the incredible mountain views!!This is a must stay.

This house has been beautifully maintained, inside and out. It was clean
and spacious. Great kitchen and library for hanging out. Kitchen is well
stocked with appliances, utensils and coffee. Internet connection, cable
television included. Complimentary wine was provided and hosts were
totally available to address any questions and concerns we had during
our stay. The location is very convenient and the view is spectacular.
More than enough towels and linens to go around. we had 11 people. The
driveway is VERY steep, so during the winter, you need to be a bit
careful with that. Would highly highly recommend.

Great House for a Big Family or a Reunion!!!!

I rented the house for a reunion with some college friends. We had a great time. The house is not only nice with great views, but the extra touches that they supplied was wonderful. They had supplies for anything if you forgot something and that was great b/c we were unfamiliar with the area and we didn't have to run out to the store. It is a very clean house with a big kitchen where we hung out most of the time. I highly recommend this house to anyone and if we go back to Asheville for another reunion, then I will definately stay there again!!
