Located on top of the mountain, brand new corner apartment with ocean view out of every window. Spacious balcony with view of Vieques, Culebra and Palomino islands, and marina. Smoke free. A/C, kitchen with dishwasher and garbage disposal. Washer and dryer in unit. 3 pools, one with big slide next to apartment great for kids. Gym, sauna, walking trail, tennis and basketball court. Five minutes to Seven Seas beach, las Croabas and hotel el Conquistador, ten minutes to Luquillo Beach, twenty minutes to the entrance of the road to el Yunque rain forest, mayor tourist attraction. Walking distance to fine dinning, fast food and groceries store

People in this area mainly do water sports. Visit different beaches and islands nearby, play golf; go to the casino at the hotel, a lot of boating and sea food. Do a lot of shopping. Old San Juan is only 45 minutes away with lots of site seeing to do. Puerto Rico is very small. Day trips are recommended. Beautiful caves, Cuevas De Camuy, thermal bath in Yauco, plantations in Ponce, etc

Gladys your place was beautiful. Was great accomodations. Spectaular view . The most Georgeous views. Its a gated community and the security was fantastic. They would tell us how to set our GPS to get where we were going. Very professional
if your looking for a place to stay in Puerto Rico you must stay in Fajardo "Pena mar" 3 pools a gym. Full kitchen, washer dryer, microwave,the most comfortable beds we ever slept on. The price was great. Very easy to get around, less then an hour to SaN Juan. Five minutes to Luquillo beach. Ten minutes Puerto Ricos natural rain forest"EL Yunque" located five minutes to shopping mall with great stores, Walmart, Kress department store, me salve (my favorite great prices)Econo great supermarket. The pictures that are this site are nothing compared to the real thing.
Thank you Gladys, I would Definately rent again when ever I return to Puerto Rico.

We stayed at Gladys’ beautiful Pena Mar apartment for one week in august 2012, and had a wonderful time. The apartment was very clean, large, quiet, and has an ocean view in the distance. Gladys was very helpful and responsive with the few things we had questions about, and we certainly would stay there again. She was apologetic about the quality of the furniture, but we don't know why--the furniture was not worn out and was completely fine. Good firm beds, good sofas, good table--attractive and comfortable. We did mention to Gladys that it would be helpful to have a map of the apartment complex prior to arriving, as we had to have the security guard at the gate help us find the specific apartment initially. That being said, he was also very helpful! We visited El Conquistador a couple times (the other place we thought about staying) but we were very glad we chose Gladys' place--it was much calmer and less crazy. It was also our first time to Fajardo, and we loved it! There was nice scuba diving, and we went to several great restaurants--basically, the top several on Tripadvisor, and really the food was outstanding. We will definitely come back!

We spent a whole week at Gladys's place. It is a very high end quality place. Probably one of the best places of the whole Fajardo area. We totally enjoyed the balcony and the kitchen. Gladys was very friendly and very responsive. It was a very pleasant experience. Only recommendation is that it would be nice if Gladys would replace her living room furnature to match the high quality apartment. I would if I own it:). Nothing to do with the condo but we found Fajardo is too much of a big city like and quite run down at many places. As far as Luquillo beach, only one small section is great, but other parts such as behind the famous row of 57 restaurants are very astonishingly filthy dirty. As comparing to Rincon in the west coast that we visited later, it is much better at Rincon: low key, beautiful tropical housing and better beaches.

Condo is in a nice complex (2 pools!). Gated community is recommended for vacationers -- and this gated community had 24 hour security. About 10 minute drive to Burger King & Church's Chicken, another 2 minutes further for CVS, Econo grocery store and Taco Maker. Another 5 minutes will take to Sizzler, and the Movie Theaters. A total of no more than 20 minutes drive will take you to the nicest beach in Puerto Rico -- Luqillo Beach. Forget all other beaches, nothing is a nice or as clean as Luquillo. Food and lots of services right there in Luquillo. McDonald's nearby for the kids, too.
From this condo to San Luiz International airport took us 58minutes total. There is toll expressway you must go on -- I think was under $2.00.
El Yunque rainforest was no more than 30 minutes from this condo -- and well worth seeing.
Mrs. Conroy was very easy to deal with -- we had no problems with paying or receiving our deposit back. And I'm sure with the new key drop off box she should have installed by now, it should be even easier!! Not having the keys when we first arrived there, and having to wait for her niece (who is "always available") was a little difficult. She did arrive, but she wasn't too happy about having to leave work to bring the keys. This drop off box will surely make your condo experience much easier!
The dishwasher & fridge looked brand new! The washer and dryer are inside the condo -- and Sooo convenient! Granite counter tops & a great stove, too.

We stayed at this condo in Fajardo for 10 days in February and returned with friends in November 2010. We absolutely love it. The location is perfect, the views are spectacular and it is very clean. The rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. We really enjoyed the infinity pool and the relaxing trade winds on the balcony every evening. It is very close to San Juan, El Yunque, beaches and restaurants and shopping. El Conquistador hotel is up the road and the Wyndham Rio Mar is 10 minutes by car. The ferry to Culebra was just five minutes away. This was our second stay at this condo in Fajardo and we can't wait to do it again!
