A spectacular view to the East side of Puerto Rico. This is the only building in the complex to have direct view to the sea. Culebra and Vieques islands among others.Walking distance to el Conquistador Resort and the golf course. The apartment have a very upscale furniture. The balcony/terraza is spacious and comfortable. Kitchen has granite counter tops, refrigerator, dish washer, stove, microwave and wine cooler. Everything is in stainless steel. There is also a washer and dryer. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed. The 3rd bedroom has 2 twins and double (futon). Only 50 minutes from San Juan airport.

The condo complex is new and clean w/ all the amenities one would want. At night you can hear the famous coquis croaking away. The complex is very safe with 24 hours security and gated entrance. The location is perfect for those that like to keep busy during their trips, if they choose. Snorkeling trips are literally 1 minute away (at the marina you see from the deck); Playa Seven Seas is a beautiful and uncrowded beach; a nature reserve w/ guided tours is 5 mins; and spectacular El Yunque Caribbean National Forest is 20 mins. Grocery shopping is 5 mins away at Amigos (a subsidiary or Wal-Mart...selection is equivalent to a medium-sized state-side supermarket). Take a ferry (5 minutes away) or an airplane on the local airport to visit Culebra and Vieques islands. Walking distance to el Conquistador Resort and the golf course. Walking distance to Marinas where you can go for a day sail to Icacos, Palominos, Ramos among other islands. . San Juan is only one hour away.

Santa RosaFabulous, Spacious Condo with Fantastic Views!

We stayed in this condo for a week this past March. We traveled with our two teenage chlldren, and our college-age daughter flew in too. This condo is one of the best vacation rentals we've ever stayed in. It was spacious, clean, comfortable, had all the amenities that we needed, and the view was stunning. The owner, Hansel, was attentive and very gracious. We took him up on his offer to go out on his boat for half a day. It was the best part of our whole trip! He took us to several of the little islands off the coast, all with beautiful beaches and very few people. There is nothing like the feeling of having a destination all to yourself. He also helped us with arrangements to go to the island of Culebra. The ferry from Fajardo is very inexpensive, only $2.50 per person each way. However, it sells out fast; you need to get in line early in the morning to get tickets. He suggested we fly over instead, and take the ferry on the return trip. It is less than $50 per person to fly, and it only takes about 15 minutes. We got to Culebra ahead of the crowds, and enjoyed another fantastic day checking out beaches. We ate lunch at Mamacita's (recommended by Hansel) and were very pleased with the food and service. More about the condo: It has a fully equipped kitchen, so it was easy to cook meals after a day of sun and the beach. There are several supermarkets within a 5 minute or so drive. Plenty of towels are provided in the condo, and there is a washer/dryer to do laundry. The complex is clean, and very safe. There is a security guard at the gate, and your name has to be on the list in order to be let into the complex. There are three pools, all clean. The kids' pool is the closest one to the condo. Beware of the water slide. It is concrete and will tear up your swim suit. The only drawback of our stay was that the fire alarm went off at 2:00am one night. It was earsplittingly loud, and it woke us up. We got out of the building, and no one came. No one else came out either. So we got in our car and drove down to the guard house to let him know. Apparently there is no remote or interface to let security or the fire station know if an alarm goes off. (Welcome to Puerto Rico!) The security guard went into the building and found out that the battery in the alarm was dead, so it went off. He was able to re-set it, and he said he'd stay until management came with a new battery. We went back to bed and didn't hear any more about it. However, it's scary that no fire department responded. If you're adventurous, don't miss the chance to visit the natural waterslides at the foot of El Yunque. Just google Las Pailas. We spent many hours there one day, had it all to ourselves. It's hard to find and not a tourist attraction. We paid a local resident $5 to park in her yard, and she showed us the pathway down to the river. We would definitely rent this condo again if we came back to Fajardo!

Penamar was a lovely, well maintained beach club. The owner of the unit we rented, Hansel Sneed, took care of all our needs concerning the condo. He was only a phone call away responding very promptly to messages left whether it was about connecting to the internet, arranging a tour, or giving us suggestions on where to eat and what to do around Fajardo. Penamar was a quiet vacation place but only a short distance from all the action in Fajardo and San Juan.
Our days started with a gorgeous sunrise every morning as we relaxed on the very large deck. A wonderful breeze was always going through the condo and we had no need for the air conditioning. The kitchen had everything we needed including utensils, place settings, paper towels, trash bags, everyday cleaning supplies, etc. All appliances worded well including washer and dryer in the unit. Beds were very comfortable and the linens were well stocked. The unit was extremely clean. We would highly recommend this unit and Penamar for anyone who visits this area of Puerto Rico.

I was there for the Christmas holidays 2nd time staying there. Beautiful clean and very very private. The view is amazing and right next to El Conquistador. I went with 6 friends and we were very comfortable. We party on the roof top of this penthouse. we feel asleep outside and had a wonderful and great time. I highly recommend it. beautiful rooms and great kitchen. just too good to be true. But it was.
