I had traveled many time to Vieques, PR with friends, and we decided this time we'd like to explore the main island of PR beginning in Fajardo. It was a great jumping off point for trips to El Junque, Loquillo Beach (which is beautiful and relatively quiet during the week) and points south like Humacao. But I have to say, the condo itself was one of the main attractions. It was so easy to book by phone; I got Luisa on my first try. We've stayed in rentals in several cities, but this one, by far, was the most luxurious. You can see why its called an Ocean Club, because the buildings are new, the grounds are meticulously maintained, two pools, a tennis court, basketball...and there are beautiful ocean views from almost every window!. And the condo itself is comfortably furnished, superbly maintained, outfitted with everything you'd need for a day at the beach (coolers, chairs, boogie boards, etc), and always cooled by an ocean breeze. Luisa gave us a quick orientation to the area and pointed out several great restaurants, many of them just a 5 minute drive from the place. It's also very easy to access the town, stores, and many water activities. Luisa and Homer are wonderful hosts -- nearby if you need them, but very respectful of your privacy and autonomy. We would definitely return if the occasion brought us back to Fajardo!

We had a wonderful time staying in the condo and vacationing in Fajardo. The condo is beautiful and Luisa and Homero provided us with a warm welcome and everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The condo is clean and comfortable from the living space, bedrooms and bathrooms to the beautiful porch overlooking the pool. Luisa and Homero are extremely helpful and hospitable. I highly recommend the condo and you cannot ask for better owners!

We have just returned from a week's vacation in this fantastic condo. It is so well appointed, with everything you could need to enjoy your vacation. Luisa and Homero have thought of everything from beach towels and chairs, boogie boards, coolers, soaps, shampoos, hair dryer, and many thoughtful extras like paper products, dish and hand soaps, etc. They have compiled a helpful binder with possible activities, menus from favorite local restaurants, directions, emergency numbers and other suggestions. The condo is very clean, and nicely decorated, yet comfortable. They even met us there, showed us around, and gave us a welcome bottle of wine with cheese and crackers! The complex is wonderful, safe and very well maintained. It is in a great location to get to all of the activities in the east end of the island. There are great restaurants nearby, as well as a nice grocery store. I highly recommend this condo and would not hesitate to rent from Luisa again!

We are trying to improve on each visit and put in place any suggestion, this is why we just installed a phone to offer free local calls. We understand that when you travel and need to do reservations, on a cellular phone could be too expensive.
We hope you decide, in the near future, to travel again to Puerto Rico!!!

This condo is absolutely beautiful. Upon arriving at the condo, we were met by the owner, Luisa. Not only did she show us everything in the condo, but she also had wine and cheese waiting for us. The condo is spotless and they have supplied almost every amenity you need. The views are fantastic, you can sit and watch the boats in the marina. The kids enjoyed the pools and the hot tub. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. We definitely plan on staying here again the next time we come to Puerto Rico.

My husband, 22 yr old daughter and 2 of her friends spent an amazing week at Pena Mar. Luisa and Homero made our stay excellent. They greeted us so warmly with wine and cheese, made sure the satelite TV worked in every room after a power outage ( which happened the day before our arrival - there was no other problem), helped us find a dentist, were there when we had a door problem and gave us the best advice on where to eat and what to see. The apartment is high quality and the owners have thought about every need - a big book of great information, maps, towels, coolers, boogie boards, and more. This was our first extended stay in Puerto Rico and having experienced the beauty of the area and the quality of these accommodations it was one of our best trips. We highly recommend this vacation rental.

Upon arriving owners Luisa and her husband greeted us and gave us a tour of the place. They were awesome! Luisa provided us with a book full of fun things to do with coupons and good places to eat around fajardo..she even had wine with cheese and crackers. :) the place comes stocked with everything you will need on your trip, except for food but there is a Walmart up the road that has just about everything. The beds were comfy and the 3 pools that they have we're impeccably clean. I love and miss waking up in the morning and having breakfast on the balcony and feeling the cool morning breeze and admiring the view. I've been to puerto Rico many times in my life and stayed at places I thought had nice views of the ocean, but this place takes the cake! Coming back for sure and I highly recommend this place! Oh and my family stayed in a condo just across from this one and didn't have a view or a breeze at all and was a little run down. Luisa's condo is worth every penny.

We loved our vacation condo at Pena Mar. The condo was very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The view of the ocean and marina were so nice to look at every morning while drinking coffee on the balcony. The complex never felt crowded, and so we didn't have to fight a crowd at the pool or workout room. Luisa and Homero were very nice, and easy to work with. We felt completely at home there. If we were ever to return to Fajardo, we would definitely stay there again.

A small group of us recently traveled to Fajardo from Ca to shoot a short film, and we could not have asked for a better condo experience. The condo was not only well furnished, immaculate, and stocked with everything you could possibly need (From beach towels to an espresso machine to easy wifi), but the owners, Luisa and Homero, went the extra mile to make sure we felt at home. When we arrived, they even had a bottle of delicious wine and a round of delicious cheese waiting in the fridge for us! They were always available when we had questions or needed advice, and they accommodated us without hesitation when we asked to stay an extra night. They were just such lovely people, we could not possibly have asked for better hosts. I don't have anything but glowingly positive things to say about the experience as a whole. Don't hesitate, stay at this condo!!
General Note: As far as Pena Mar's layout, the condo buildings are grouped into three tiers. The bottom (lower numbered buildings) are closest to the entrance. There is a middle tier, which is a bit higher up, and then there is the 3rd tier of buildings, where this condo resides. In my opinion, this third tier is by far the best. The views are great, as you are above the other two levels, and you are farther from the entrance (less noise). This beautiful, 3 bedroom condo was perfect for our family vacation! It was very clean, comfortable, and very well furnished. The condo is gated with 24 hour security, and we always felt safe and very comfortable. There are 3 very nice pools on the property that we also enjoyed. The owners provided everything we could need or want! They provided too many amenities to list, but they definitely thought of everything!!! We loved the Wi-Fi and it was so nice to have the use of beach towels and umbrellas while we were there. They also provided a very extensive list of restaurants and local information to help us choose our activities for the week. We loved the condo and would stay there again!

Our family of six spent a week at Luisa's and Homero's condo at Peña Mar in June of 2011. From the first minute when they met us at the door to welcome us we felt as if we had known them forever. Louisa showed us the condo and repeatedly told us to let them know if there was anything they could do to improve the stay for us or future guests.
There was nothing lacking, from extra sheets, bath towels and beach towels in the linen closet, to tennis rackets, boogie boards, and large cooler. From high-quality toiletries and hairdryer in the bathrooms to lots of pots and pans, blender, espresso maker and coffeemaker in the kitchen, this condo has it all. But on top of it all, Luisa and Homero had stocked the refrigerator with a welcome bottle of red wine, as well as beer and water, and in response to my inquiry about Puerto Rican coffee, there was even some for me to try. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend this property as absolutely one of the best we have ever rented.

The only problem we see with our experience is that we are going to expect this level of service everywhere we go from now on. Homero and Luisa have spoiled us. They were our hosts from the moment we landed in PR, you can tell they are in the hospitality business; the attention to detail was amazing. They even had a play yard and high chair for our baby!
The pictures really don't do any justice to the views we enjoyed in that apartment. This was surely an unforgettable experience, we will definitely be back!
