Sydney, Australiacould be great but isn't...poor non-existant service
Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Stayed in promo apartment which is a 3-bedroom apartment.
Firstly it's pretty expensive so your expections are in effect set by what you are paying. The apartment is nicely furnished but it could do with finishing off properly. It's poorly lit in the sofa area (just needs a lamp) and annoyingly the egg chair featured on website and brochures is actually broken. The spa cover does not fit properly and there's quite a few estentials missing in the kitchen, like a protato peeler. The so called top of the range appliances is actually quite funny, your better off washing by hand than use the crummy dishwasher. But on the whole it's a nice apartment. Btw it's a lie there are covered walkways, there are not.
Forget the included breakfast at cafe milch, unless you want to eat badly prepared and cooked food. We went once on the first morning and the eggs were raw, the bacon cold and the spinach gritty (so not washed) it was inedible. Although the kids did like the hot chocolates. Continental breakfast is basically rice bubbles, weetabix and some stewed fruit.
The apartments are individually owned with a central manager. That's the main issue here, the service is nothing short of appalling. Reception is never open, and guest services don't fix up anything. Once we called about the so called included WiFi (it's actually only free for 24-hours during your stay) as it was patchy at best for us, their solution was don't use an iPad (as they don't work properly LOL) or if you go into the baggage area the reception is much better there! Is that aceptable service when you pay $5000 for a 4-day stay in low-season?
Despite saying there are Dvd's available, there are not.
Also be careful pre booking rental, as the brochure says executive skis, but apparently 'executive' means 'bog standard' skiis at falls creek, with demo's being the level up. It's a con really. -

Brisbane, AustraliaFantastic family holiday
Left on 07/09/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Stayed at Frueauf Village for a week, and it was wonderful. Would thoroughly recommend splurging on a penthouse. The spa was our saving grace after a long day of snowboarding - which you can do right to the door. Breakfast was a great bonus every morning at Milch. Jayne made the booking process painless and hiring equipment through her was a breeze.
