This beautiful and roomy mountain home is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia between Milepost 189 and 190 in the Doe Run Resort. You can enjoy hiking, antiquing, driving on the parkway or golfing at one of 3 nearby courses. Enjoy traditional and blue grass music in nearby Floyd Va (45 minutes), Galax Va (45 minutes) or at the Blue Ridge Music Center (20 minutes). Visit the historic Mabry Mill, the most photographed place on the parkway or drive to the Chateau Morrisette Winery for wine tasting and fine dining just 15 minutes away.
Tennis an Volleyball courts are available with just a 5 minute walk as well as horshoe pits. A waterfall is on the resort property with just a 15 minute walk.
Or just enjoy the quiet mountain air as you relax at home.

I loved my time at this adorable home in the mountains. The place is incredibly clean and taken care of. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the Blue Ridge Parkway and visited Chauteau Morrisette Winery for a wine tasting. It was so relaxing!

I stayed here for a weekend getaway and for a weekend workshop/retreat. It was lovely. So much solitude and yet there are other homes nearby so I didnt feel so isolated that it was scary. :o)
The home is great. Dont let the outside fool you! It is big. My favorite thing, other than the fireplace is the huge window that looks out over the grassy area going to the woods. I sat there with coffee and watched tons of wildlife.
Just a really peaceful property. Sleeps a lot of people.

Lovely home with lots of space and all the amenities needed for a nice few days away from it all. It was great for playing pool and relaxing in the house and a good base for driving to sites up and down the Blue Ridge Parkway. Had a great time with our family we were visiting from England - it's a very social house, also has nice big outdoor space for playing games.
