Visit Rome without stress, discover the treasures of the Sabine region, taste our PDO Sabina olive oil, relax and enjoy our hospitality! Our 200 acres farm is located just a few kilometers from the Fara in Sabina train station, where trains run every 15 minutes to/from downtown Rome (a 40' ride) and Fiumicino airport (a 90' ride). Being very close to the A1 highway and to the Salaria state road, our farm is an excellent starting point to visit the region of Sabine, where off-the-beaten-track villages, churches and museums as well as natural beauties will delight you. Helping our guests planning their visits and introducing them to the art of... oil making is part of our hospitality.

Our fully renovated farmhouse, surrounded by our olive grove, is ideal for couples and families alike. All apartments have a fully equipped kitchenette, and our guests are invited to use the barbecue and the traditional wood oven. Easy hiking trails depart from the farmhouse and cross our olive grove and our wood, leading to the sanctuary of Santa Maria dell'Arci.   After spending 5 glorious days in Rome, we took the train to stay on the farm with Luca and Flaminia. We had been communicating by e-mail prior to our arrival, and already knew we were in for a treat. However, we were greeted by Flaminia,and her sweet andrea with a Birthday cake for my husband, and a pot of espresso, along with tons of information about the area and all the sights to see in and around the beautiful countryside.
  After making us feel like family, we were taken to our apartment which was adorable and could not have been more perfect. As it was off season, we had the place to ourselves. The next five days were spent exploring the beautiful region that is Lazio and all of the splendor of the midevil towns and hospitality of it's people.
  We do not speak Itallian, however, everywhere we went, we were pampered by local people with outrageous food, warm hospitality, and made to feel as if we belonged there.
  As for the farm, it was stunning. We walked along the path to the river, sat outside and basked in the quiet, and watched the sunset and rise each day.
  Coming from Los angeles, it is a rare day when you don't hear anything. We were surrounded by silence. The view was amazing. We could see the lights of Fara in Sabina, the moon hanging in the sky like a spot light. Just fabulous!
  Luca and Flaminia took so much time to make us feel comfortable. They gave us a tour of the olive processing plant, and the olive oil is one of our most treasured posessions.
  We are so looking forward to returning at the end of 2011. We will definitely be staying with our Itallian family again. We have told our story to so many people, and have recommended agriturismo Colle Dell' Arci to everyone!
  If you want to experience the real Italy this is the place to do it.
  We will never forget our time with Luca and Flaminia and the boys.
