St. Catharinen, Ontario, United StatesBest time for all!
Left on 05/13/2013 for a stay in May 2013
Even though we were a party of 4 in this large home, we found it very comfortable...just like home. We loved all aspects of this rental, especially the creek that ran alongside the expansive property. It was very peaceful...we had a wonderful two days!
One suggestion: please put blinds on the bedroom off the kitchen! -

Falls Church, VA, United StatesGreat stay, but there was a wasp nest above the deck
Left on 04/30/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We weren't able to spend any time on the deck because there was a wasp nest beneath the roof overhang directly above the deck. It was pretty large, and I think we may have been the first guests in a while, so I'm guessing it was ignored/overlooking by cleaning/management staff when they checked the place prior to our stay. Other than that, the property was great and I would highly recommend.

Arlington, VA, United StatesGreat in Winter
Left on 01/15/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We went with lots of snow and really enjoyed the place. It is my understanding that you won't be able to use the fireplace in the future, so that might be a deal braker for some folks.

Medina, OH, United StatesA great property for a family retreat.
Left on 12/26/2012 for a stay in December 2012
My family (12 of us) stayed at Cedar Lodge over Christmas weekend, and were very pleased with our stay. The house was very accommodating, well furnished, and quite enviting. The livingroom is big enough for a large group, and unlike a lot of rental homes, the beds are comfortable. We plan on returning to Cedar Lodge, but we realize we need to bring a few things next time, which is the reason I gave only four stars for one of the categories: There was six inches of snow the night we arrived, but unfortunately no shovel with which to remove it; there was also no more than the two hung rolls of toilet paper; and we will have to bring our own firewood if we want to use the fireplace. But overall, this is a great rental; I highly recommend it!

WASHINGTON, DC, United StatesOver-priced, infested disappointment
Left on 10/31/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We arrived to find our rental house crawling with ladybugs. We also found mouse droppings in the first floor bathroom. In the children's bunk room, despite assurances that it had been cleaned earlier in the week, we found literally hundreds of dead (and some live) ladybugs. Overall, the house is not fit to rent: the kitchen did not contain enough pots, dishes and silverware even for our small group, and it is very strange that a house would be without a dishwasher and other basic appliances. The lighting was terrible; the linens thin, and the outside areas beset with bees. I could perhaps forgive some of this if the house had been priced like a rustic cabin, but it was not. We spent over $900 dollars for two nights. At that price point, a house should be comfortable and free of pests.

Beachwood, OH, United StatesCedar Lodge Family Weekend
Left on 10/09/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We had a wonderful weekend at Cedar Lodge. It was my wife's 50th birthday, and our family gathered (from DC, Charleston, Athens, and Cleveland) to celebrate. It was about a 3.5 hour drive for everyone, so the location was ideal.
The house was clean, nicely furnished, and the kitchen was well-stocked. We especially enjoyed the family room with the fireplace. The property was very nice, and we had a camp fire with smores. The kids loved that.
With the property, and the big house, we didn't feel the need to go anywhere since there was plenty to do there.
It did take some searching to find a place to buy firewood, but we found it. Overall, it was a fantastic weekend, and a very nice place to 'get away'. -

Hockessin, DE, United StatesOvernight Stay
Left on 08/01/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Our group of 8 really enjoyed our overnight stay. We went white water rafting, then go the house for showers, dinner and relaxing. Beautiful, clean place. Only complaint is the musty, mildewy smell in the house and the shower heads. Water came out like from a garden hose. Great family room and kitchen. Thank you!

Cleveland, OH, United StatesGreat Place!!
Left on 07/17/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The cedar lodge was just what I needed for a 12 person bachelorette party over a long weekend in July. The house was very spacious, as were the grounds with two outdoor seating areas and a very large lawn and fire pit area. The kitchen was well equipped, there were plenty of clean towels/bedding and the reservation representative went above and beyond in helping answer my questions about housing options. A great experience! My only tweak to the house would be a need for a full length mirror somewhere, but staying with 12 women will do that to ya :)

Dover, PA, United StatesNice place to celebrate family!
Left on 07/03/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Cedar Lodge is a pretty place to gather our family. The lay out and sleeping space was just right for 10 of us. We were only disappointed in the cleanliness when we arrived. The kitchen floor was sticky and I mopped it, the amount of towels promised were not folded, but we later found them in the dryer, and the upstairs bath was dirty in the tub, and the iron was not there. We did not call about these things as there was no cell phone reception, but we did run and call when there was an AC problem. That was handled immeditely and the person fixing the problem was very courteous, friendly and helpful. The outside fire ring was large and great for all of us, and the tv was big for the kids. The small stream was great also. I was a little disappointed that when I reported the items mentioned before to the rental person after leaving, they did not offer to make any ammends. On a whole though, it was a nice place to be together with family.
