There were 12 of us in our party and we are all in our early 30's. I was nervous about the place because you never know what your getting into when reserving something over the internet, but I was pleasantly surprised by the Coldren Cottage. Very clean and plenty of space for all 12 adults. It had everything we needed for the weekend. I would highly recommend this place and will be returning very soon! The only downfall is having to check out so early because we stayed up too late by the campfire.

This place is great for a large group looking to get away. It's located down a long driveway set back in the woods. It's secluded and quite a treat to stay @. The only complaint I have was the porch furniture was shotty and a guest sat on a chair it it basically fell apart. I hope that I do not get charged for that!

New Albany, OH, United StatesBetter than we hoped, Exactly what we needed

Given that the entire area from Columbus, OH to the east coast had been hit with storms, we were worried we would have no power when we arrived. We were originally going to be a the Pine Cone Cabin, but the storm had managed to disable the water there. We were reassigned to Coldren well before we arrived, and the cabin was BEAUTIFUL. Well shaded and hidden away, it's what you'd expect from a cabin getaway. With only the very occasional damage (easily caused and then hidden by a previous guest) the whole of the cottage provided us with a week's worth of comfort. The dark wood interiors made for great insulation, protecting us from some of the hottest days we've had in years. The kitchen was well equipped, allowing us to entertain for the 4th of July, and then quickly clean up with little stress. Having a washer/dryer in the basement made the END of our vacation a breeze as well, as arriving at home only meant putting away clean laundry.
We're already planning a stay for next year, and Coldren will be my first choice. -

Avon Lake, OH, United Statesperfect if cleaned
Left on 07/05/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We would have given the cottage a 4-5 star rating except for the fact we had to spend 2 hours cleaning it before enjoying it. It looked like it had not been dusted in years, visible layers of dust on blinds, dead bugs in windows, grease on stove and dishes, broken glass by fire pit.
Otherwise everything else was great. Tricia very helpful when we lost power and water. Thanks again Tricia. -

Left on 06/12/2012 for a stay in June 2012
My friends and I came down to your cottage for the weekend to celebrate a bachelor party. We went white water rafting on saturday then to the wild side. It was great for both locations, very close!! Everything was wonderful and will be back again sometime!! Just be careful...lots of hornets and 1 person got stung. Other than that it was great!

I'm the best man in an upcoming wedding and we had our bachelor party here for the weekend. Close to ohiopyle. It had everything and was very spacious. There was a shuffle board court, a volley ball court, 2 fire pits, a grill & TV. Surrounded by the woods it really was a wonderful place and we all had a **** of a time. The staff I talked to was very accomodating and very helpful. Thinking about having my bachelor party there. Would definitely recommend it to anyone with a large group who wants to get away without completely roughing it.
thanks! -

Left on 05/30/2012 for a stay in May 2012
My group had a great time. It was inexpensive, tucked far back from the road and sight of any other homes, everything was there at the house - dishwasher, washer & Dryer, games, garbage areas, fire pits, and an awesome BBQ grill.
