Sorry, but pets are not allowed at Cozy Pines N Lake.
Good location, short scenic drive to the village. Cabin was clean and spacious and the lake view from the balcony was excellent! I would recommend that you bring your own towels as the ones provided were like drying with sandpaper. Fawnskin Park was a fun place for a picnic with the snow capped mountains in the background. All in all it was a great stay and would recommend the cabin. The staff was also very accommodating especially since I had to change my dates.

It was Great! Less traffic than staying in the City. Great View...
The only 1 problem for this cabin is the heater is located on the floor. I find that to be very hazardous. My child kept wanting to dump stuff in it. Plus the rugs can catch on fire be scary!!!
Not worth the money

The location of this cabin is in the complete opposite side of big bear. All the cabinets inside were locked. Very limited cups and plates. Its located on a steep hill with too many steps to climb. The value was somewhat ok at the start but by the time you check out you discover over $100 in extra fees( booking, tax, damage ins, travel ins) next time I would stay at a motel at least it will be close and I won't be ripped off. Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. First and foremost we wish to apologize for any issues you had while staying with our company. Next time please do not hesitate to call us with any issues, as we would have been happy to either move you to a closer location or purchase some cups for you.

The best part of this cabin was definitely the view. We loved sitting out on the deck and looking at the lake, as well as opening all of the blinds to see the lake from most windows in the cabin. The cabin itself was dated and a little dusty, but it met our needs. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and had complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap.
The worst part about our stay was dealing with Cool Cabins, the company. The first girl I spoke to was very nice, but when I called back to say that we hadn't received the email with our key code, a different girl was extremely rude. She spoke in a series of grunts and sighs. Also, placed around the cabin were kind of threatening notes from Cool Cabins. "Don't do (this)...or you'll pay" "Remember to (this)...or you'll pay." When we checked out we were stressed, wondering if we had noticed all of the threatening signs, or if we missed one, and would indeed, pay. It would have been nice to just have a nicely written welcome page that listed all of the rules, and then they could have placed several copies around. We also didn't like that we had to take all of the trash bags with us, and put them in dumpsters across the lake. I would think our rental and cleaning fee included trash.
Overall, it was a nice stay, and the view could not be beat.

For the first two times we missed the location until we figured out a street sign for the cabin. It's a beautiful location with the deck over looking the lake. The cabin was clean and homely so we all liked it but the one thing we couldn't figure out was how to get the DVD player to work, with all the wires hanging out for no reason! Why can't it be all hooked up properly all the time so you just pop a DVD and sit back and watch? There was something wrong.Another problem is that there's no internet at all,so that was kind of an inconvenience. The back and the left sides of the cabin need a lot of landscaping to make it look nice.
We liked the rocking chairs and the beds were confi. Also the old record player was cool,so we played few records eventhough the sound wasn't very good, but it was kind of fun.

Folks in the Cool Cabins office were very attentive with each phone contact and when we visited their office to check out local activities. When we found the DVD player in the house wasn't working properly, Cool Cabins kindly sent someone out on short notice to check it out. They loaned us a temporary replacement DVD so we could watch the family movies we had brought. This cabin is directly in front of the North Shore boat landing (same family group as the Holloway boat marina on Big Bear Blvd. on south side of lake), so very easy to arrange for various boating activities. We were here midweek, very quiet, restful. Cabin is not luxury, is older, but very comfortable with lots of personal family touches. Was great for several quiet days of family catch up time. This was our first visit to Big Bear Lake, would enjoy doing it again. Cabin didn't have internet connection, but we enjoyed being off-line for reading and talking--ran out to Starbucks a couple of times as needed to connect for business. Thanks CC!

Great "cozy" cabin!
Left on 04/04/2013 for a stay in March 2013 | Veronica
This "cozy" cabin is conveniently located on the north side of the lake, about a 20 minute drive to Big Bear Mountain. It has all of the amenities needed to make it your home during your visit - plenty of cookware, dishes, cups, etc. and even a BBQ grill on the patio.
The weekend we were there, it was so warm that we wanted to make a fire in the fireplace but it was just too warm! I'd definitely stay in this cabin again!
Note: The entrance is on the second floor so there is a flight of stairs you have to walk up. This may be a consideration for older travelers or people with disabilities.
love the cabin

The service was Excellent I called in to ask a few question and they were very nice and helpful. The house was very nice and clean, had a vintage feel to it. love that they still had stuff like records and old board games. Enough beds to fit 5 comfortably. It is a pretty far drive from the main bear city, and ski slopes. If your there for the lake it is great because there are a bunch of rental places right across the street. There was no check in or anything like that which was great. They leave the key for you right at the door for you. I really like that because you don't have to drive to pick up the key and drive to drop off the key.

The place was not cleaned up when we arrived. Our family trip was all ruined on the first day. My kid as all shocked to see all the mess...(Stinky trash bags, messed up beds, floors...and the bathroom was a nightmare...When I call the office, they told me to 'understand Them' since it's the busiest times for them... Omg. thanks for ruining our family trip.

Had the chance to stay here again. Second time in one year. It's a great little cabin with a decent view of the lake. Very quite and cozy. No BBQ set this time around and could have use some cleaning tools such as a vacuum cleaner. Other than that it was a great stay

I had a good time bud I was hoping that it was just a little cleaner; it was nice to just walk to the water and do some fishing. So that was a good thing. And it did have all the things needed to cook, sleep and clean up when done. I was hoping to have TV in the bedroom and patio table that was missing, bud you can't always get what you want you get what you need, P.S. I did have a good time.
Have fun in the lake house.

Every thing was fine except for the internet. Super slow. Perhaps for some people that culd be a plus. After all, you don't want a fast-speed internet for a get-away vacation. Agree?

This is our second cabin we have rented from Cool Cabins. We were bringing our boat on this trip so we wanted to be close to the lake and that we were right acrossed the street! The cabin had a awsome deck and the inside was like being at your Grandparents home. It was like going back in time but still comfy we had a great time at this cabin and will stay there again soon.

When we first got there, we couldn't find the lock box with the key in it. There are two lock boxes for this cabin. One below and one above the stairs. Make sure you look for your key upstairs. Other than that, the cabin is nice and cozy, with 2 rooms + bed outside. If you're staying there in the colder months, make sure you leave the doors open to both rooms, because you'll freeze if you don't. The heater is located outside near the kitchen. The bathroom had great ventilation and was it wide enough for anyone to maneuver around in. The chairs in the eating area smell a bit funky, so don't sit on them. Other than that, we had a great stay, and I'll be recommending this cabin and bigbearcoolcabins to my friends as well.
Great time out

We had the pleasure of staying at Cozy Pines N Lake in February. The lake had a thin layer of ice in the mornings which melted as after a few hours of sun. The cabin is very nice with a great fireplace, full kitchen, and a fantastic view of the lake in the front and a great view of the mountain in the back. The place was very quiet and relaxing. You literally go for a hike in the back yard. If you like the outdoors with the comfort of coming to a cabin at night, you'll love this place.

Very easy to check in and out. Very nice view of the lake from the large deck. The cabin was clean and the heater works well. I wish the beds were more comfortable but every- thing else was great. We will stay again at a Big Bear Cool cabin.

We have rented this cabin twice. It is located in Fawnskin on the quiet side of the lake. Nice peaceful lake view. The cabin's furnishings are a bit dated, but everything is clean and cared for. The cabin is well stocked with the necessities and is a good home-base for a Big Bear (small sized family) vacation.

This cabin is across the street from the lake. Breathtaking views of the lake from the balcony. The cabin was clean and for the most part the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. (could use a covered large fryingpan) The furnishings are older but fairly comfortable. The steps to the cabin are steep but managable. We would highly recommend this cabin and Cool Cabins
