We loved the cabin, beautiful architecture and great features. We enjoyed the lake view and the restaurants around the area. The only thing I did not like was that there was construction going on in front of the cabin and we could not walk to the lake and enjoy the sunset. But besides that it was wounderful and I would rent this property again!!!
Nice cabin, but construction paraphernalia is part of view

Cute, comfortable cabin. I chose this cabin because it's on the lake, but it isn't exactly on the lake. It's about a football field from the lake, but still has a pretty view. There is construction that must be going on in the summer because several construction types of equipment were in a field near the cabin. Those didn't bother us, but there was a tall chain link fence directly outside the picture window that looks out to the lake. And there were some orange cones and netting that were in the field between the cabin and the lake. None of this obstructed your view, but is was certainly part of the view.
There were Dvd's to watch, but no DVD player. I am sure they would have brought us one if we asked, but we didn't really need it. They fixed the gas fireplace for us. It didn't have a hair dryer or cookie sheets, both of which I would have used, but other than that it was fine. There was cream and sugar for coffee or tea.
I liked this cabin and felt it was a good value, just be aware of the construction. Read more
Thank you for leaving us your feedback and we are happy to hear you enjoyed your time at the cabin. We will have a DVD player and a cookie sheet brought to the cabin immediately. Hopefully you can come back soon and use them very soon!
Nice cabin, quiet location and great owners

We stayed here for 4 days in august. Located on the quieter side of the lake. The outside pictures do not do it justice. The living room/dining room area are small if you have a large group but for a small group it's perfect. Captain John's Wharf was right next door and you can rent anything and everything there. It's in walking distance. The jacuzzi bath tub was a great feature. The fireplace in the room was a nice touch. They have games for the kids in the cubboard, an outdoor firepit that you share with the other cabins if they are occupied and if you get lazy there is a hammock outside to relax in. Overall it's a really nice place. The only bad thing is that the part of the Lake it's near was dirty and they are now building between the cabin and the lake so there goes the views. 4th time using Cool Cabins and we will be back. Everything was smooth.

the cabin was a very nice cute cabin great place and great location if you want to be away from the town... fully stocked with everything you need when away from home... the place was spacious for two and could deffinetly accamadte up to 6 people.. i would deffiently come back... it does look like they are building new cabins in the back of it so the view of the lake will porbably be gone soon.. the other cabin next door is very close and i wish it was a little farther away..
Great View, walk to lake.

Nice all around cabin, walking distance to lake. Window shades don't work, downstairs sofabed is like sleeping on a rock. The rest of the cabin is excellent. Nice patio.
Nice Little Cabin in Fawnskin

This is a nice cabin on the Fawnskin side of the lake. It could possibly sleep 6-8 people if needed. It is furnished nicely, the kitchen is big, and the Jacuzzi tub is a nice addition. It is a little bit of a walk to the lake and there is no shopping or restaurants nearby so be prepared to drive a bit. The wood fireplace in the bedroom is a plus.

Check in was very easy. Cabin was very nice, clean, and cozy. It had a nice view of the lake, with a lot of open space in the back to walk around. We had a very nice time, and look forward to renting this cabin again in the future.
Weekend trip to Big Bear
Left on 03/20/2013 for a stay in February 2013 | KDUB
The check in process was fairly easy but the staff wasn't overly friendly or welcoming. The location was okay about 10-15 minutes on a small 2 lane road to Big Bear. The description of the cabin was misleading. It said 1 bedroom 2 baths. However, there was only 1 shower. Their 2nd bath was a bathtub that doubled as a spa. Not really fair to count that as a second full bathroom. The common areas of the cabin were nice but parking is pretty tight. Read more
First and foremost I wish to offer my sincere apologies on behalf of Big Bear Cool Cabins for any issues you had while staying with us. There is no reason or excuse why your check in should have been anything short of a pleasant experience. In regards to the cabin we apologize if it did not meet your expectations. I did look into the bathrooms and we do consider it a full bathroom because there is a sink, toilet, and bath tub. A half bathroom is considered to when there is only a sink and toilet. Thank you for bringing this to our attention as these cabins are fairly new and we do not wish to mislead anyone. Should you decide to use our company again please refer to this reservation as I have added a discount. Please ask for myself or Jackie and we will be happy to find you the perfect cabin.

I booked this cabin because it was the only one available that accommodated all of us and fit within our budget. I must say, the pictures do it no justice. This is a great cabin! Very warm, cozy and modern. The bunk beds and futons were a bit uncomfortable, but that's to be expected from them. The couch is also a sofa bed, and the jacuzzi is awesome. What I liked best though is the location. The area behind the backyard is perfect for snow play, and we even saw bear tracks in it. The lake view is wonderful, and you can even see the town across it.

Well maintained cabin, located right in front of big bear lake. A 5 minute drive to snow summit. Loved staying and doing absolutely nothing in the cabin!
