Beautiful location. Gorgeous cabin. The jacuzzi on the deck, a potentially great amenity that is featured in the cabin's online ad, did not work. Very disappointing. Other than that, a wonderful place.

The check in service was wonderful. The House what can I say, great view hot tub overlooking the mountains & valleys. Had one of the best vacations ever. Did not see another person the entire stay. Anyone wanting to get away from everything should check this house out.
The best part no cell service.. Yea!! -

While deployed, I had a friend recommend the Leatherwood Rentals. I booked the cabin expecting to take my girlfriend for a romantic weekend away from everything. The drive to the cabin was amazing. We got there super early in the morning (1 am) and the key was waiting on us. After we woke up later that day, we had the most amazing view ever out on our deck! We enjoied that the cabin was clean, tucked away from the others, and was fully furnished. Our only complaint about the place was that there was no curtain on the glass front door. Other than that, we found a little slice of heaven for three days while I was home on R&R; with the most amazing woman ever.

Making reservations was a breeze and they were even able to accomodate some special requests. We checked in late, but everything we needed was waiting for us. If you want romance and seclusion for just 2, this home is #1. It is beautifully decorated, has everthing you need for any length stay, and the view from the deck and hot tub is priceless. We had a wonderful horseback ride on the resort's 75 miles of trails, had an in house massage, and our favorite part of the stay was a back porch bluegrass jam at the restaurant featuring local folks just having fun playing their favorite music. For a romantic getaway, pick Three's a Crowd!

Three's a Crowd is a wonderfully intimate cabin for a break away from the stresses of life. The cabin is beautifully appointed and has a wonderful vista over the valley. I can't wait to return.

Who needs more than just a comfortable cabin and time to relax in the mountains? My wife and I had great plans to go out and do so many things, but were just captivated by the serene beauty,that we only went as far as to the stables to enjoy a week at Leatherwood. Time just tends to fade away. Only a one bedroom cabin but the layout was plenty spacious. As always the staff was great and will look forward to returning.

A wonderful place to escape to! Very comfortable appointments, house well stocked, incredible longrange views - watching daybreak was breathtaking. Chef approved kitchen! Comfortable mattress...we will definately be back!

Our stay at Leatherwood was an amazing experience. We shared with our close family and friends the exchange of our wedding vows. Enjoying several homes and finally ending up at "Three's a Crowd"!! Beautiful views and relaxing hot tub cannot be topped. We enjoyed a spectacular double rainbow our second night! Quite a honeymoon! Unbelieveable!
The Leatherwood staff is awesome. Super helpful and always friendly.
We loved along with all of the 50 guest Leatherwood Mountains and could not of been more pleased! Thank you all for making everything so special! -

We had a great time. Woke up Friday morning not knowing what to do for the weekend spent 15 minutes packing not knowing if we would need a bathing suit or hiking boots. On the road we asked ourselves east or west, we decided west. Once in Wilksboro we stopped at the travel stop and found your brochure and called. We could not have expected a more inviting, relaxing place to stay. Everyone was to warm and welcoming. On Saturday my wife got brave and took her first solo horseback ride and for two hours we laughed and had a great time with our guide.We had such a great time we are going back this weekend with our 9 year old to get her on the hours... we'll save the romance for the two of us!!!

Three's A Crowd is a perfect place for a couple to get away and spend some time together as a couple. When we arrived at Three's A Crowd, we did not see or hear from anybody until we left. I would highly recommend this place if you want to spend some time alone with your spouse.

My husband and I stayed at Three's a Crowd for our
29th anniversary. It was great! This cabin is isolated and very private. It had a great view of
the mountains. The cabin was beautifully furnished
with great attention to detail. All of the staff at
leatherwood were very helpful. This was our 2nd stay at Leatherwood and we can't wait to come back.
The one thing that you need to do is stop in Lenoir
and get your groceries, because there are no stores
near Leatherwood. We had a great time! -

I enjoyed the view the most. I had some issues with the sheets and towels being in the wash machine wet and not dried. The bath tub and floor in the bathroom were not clean, and the outside grill needs alot of work. Overall our stay was fine. Would have liked to have internet connection since our cell phones would not work on site.

The house is very nicely appointed in that it has all the conveniences of home. The view from the deck is wonderful and very peaceful. As always, the horse trails offer something for everyone. Everyone we met treated us well and professionally.

I can only describe our experience in this wonderful beautiful home with two words AMAZINGLY ROMANTIC!!!! we came to your wonderful resort looking for a little time alone after 24 years of marriage and two children consuming our every waking moment this was the first time we had went anywhere alone with just the two of us.
We showed up thinking we would have a good time getting to know each other again but little did we know just what we were in for here I had talked to guest services about arranging a dinner for my wife and I the day we arrived here because I wanted this to be a weekend she never forgot.
when we got to your resort i had already gotten five dozen roses for her and gave he one dozen on the way she didn't know about the other four dozen so I asked if the staff that set up the dinner could put the roses out for her while we were gone they said sure and what a beautiful job they did with this request we arrived back at the cabin and everything the staff did was beautiful and just right for the moment my wife's eyes lite up as she seen what they had done for us and as she looked around I turned on the wonderful stereo in the cabin and the perfect song was playing open arms by journey she started crying with over whelming joy at all that had been done this moment she or I will never forget and it wouldn't have been possible without the wonderful staffs help and great attention to detail the food was perfect the candles were amazing everything was magical and perfect in my wife's words and also in mine the view from the deck is so beautiful and wonderfully private and quiet we were both over whelmed by how wonderful everything was we never expected this place to be so amazing and beautiful or the staff to be so attentive to our needs.I must say thank you so much for making our get away so much more than we ever dreamed possible with the beautiful home views and amazing staff here at leatherwood. We will be back very soon and will be staying in our dream
