Very relaxing, beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the horse riders returning while dining at the cantina. Great food and atmosphere. Can't wait for a return visit...again

We always enjoy staying at Leatherwood. Moon Shadow has an awesome view. We love the layout of the house and the upgrades this year were great. We especially liked the new countertop in the kitchen. This was our second time staying at Moon Shadow and we'll definitely consider this house again the next time we vacation. Our border collie and australian shepherd enjoyed the covered porch!

A little piece of Heaven. The house had an awsome view, sunset and Grandfather Mtn., close to barns and a hot tub. Met all my expectations. The wonderful folks at Letherwood is also what makes you want to keep comming back time after time. Already planning my next trip!!! When you viist you never want to leave!!

Arriving at Leatherwood for a friend's wedding, we were all completely charmed by Moonshadow from the second we walked in the door. The view from the balcony nothing short of breath-taking...and the addition of the hot tub right there doesn't hurt either. The home was very nicely decorated, the kitchen was well stocked, and it had nice gathering spaces. We were ready to stay a lot longer than our short weekend visit. Another great aspect is that it is not too far up the mountain so if you plan to leave the house (which isn't really necessary) you don't have far to go to take advantage of the resorts other fantastic amenities.

We thorougly enjoyed Moon Shadow. The house was warm and cozy and uniquely decorated. The view from the deck was awesome. What else could you ask for?

We took three horses, four daughters and a grandson to visit the Leatherwood Mountains and we had a great time. We rode everytime and had a great vacation. The trails are excellent and the resort is very nice. The house was spotless. The resort was very clean. The stable is nice. It was a wonderful family vacation and we are sure to go back. We drove to the marina and rented a pontoon boat. We spent the day on the lake.
The staff at Leatherwood was very friendly and helpful in everyway. It was all perfect. -

We stayed at Moonshadow in the Leatherwood Mountain community from 12/30/09 through 1/2/09. The guest services staff members at Leatherwood were wonderful--responsive, prepared, very pleasant. Upon our arrival there was no firewood at the home and within an hour we had an entire truckload of wood delivered and unloaded onto the front porch. We couldn't have hoped for better service. The views from Moonshadow were spectacular and could be enjoyed from every room in the home. The large wrap-around deck on the main level was a great feature. The views were also enjoyed from the HUGE second deck on the lower level. All of the bedrooms were well-appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen had all of the necessities and we prepared several meals during our stay. Some new pots and pans would be a welcome addition, as the existing ones are a bit worn. The large dining table allowed all of us (6 adults) to eat together comfortably with room to spare. Many hours were spent playing pool in the loft--we really enjoyed that feature of the home. The wood-burning fireplace and the huge sofa in the living room created a very relaxing atmosphere for having a cup of coffee in the morning, a glass of wine or hot cocoa in the evening, and a lovely mid-afternoon nap! Moonshadow is an ideal vacation home for our families, and there is plenty of room to accommodate more members as our families grow. We hope to stay at Moonshadow again soon.

This was our second stay at Moon Shadow, carpets were stained, needed to be cleaned !! Fitted sheets didn't fit. Our first visit everything was perfect. We love the home !! and we probably stay there again. THE VIEW IS FANTASTIC !!
